  1. To be "at sixes and sevens" derives from a complicated dice game called "hazard". It is thought that the expression was originally "cinque and sice" (from the French numerals for five and six). These were considered to be the riskiest numbers to shoot for (to "set on"), and those who tried for them were considered careless or confused.
  2. These guys are good at setting the scene. More fashion critiques please.
  3. Watched some of his press conference on SSN.
  4. Carver hasn't even had a chance to watch normal TV. No conversations with Mike. Hasn't had time to think about taking the managers job (which is still Pardews as it stands).
  5. It's almost like you're trying to scupper the deal.
  6. I think you can. But not about the future, imho One cunt down x remaining. At least we will be working through the cunts. If things progress, it wasn't the clubs choice.
  7. I think you can. But not about the future, imho
  8. ...and the unbearable gobble voiced bottom feeders down the road will be if we don't. I'm happy to be happy for the fucknuckle, if he manages to finally stop being so unfathomably shit at winning a derby.
  9. Er... nah.  Doon wants that bet, tbh. Oh aye, fair point.
  10. Er... nah. Feel bad for Villa now. Which sucks.
  11. Delighted. Why?, because years ago they did us over in the cup? I'm sure the club will have plenty of loyal fans and this to them isn't a victory. There is only 1 club out there who I wish would go out of business, Liverpool. Sure, the same reasoning that sees me sick when I see that fkn 'who's your messiah now' sign or when names like Graham Fenton or Nigel De Jong crop up, even though their mams/sisters are probably decent crack. For what it's worth the club have only themselves to blame, and you'll find a good section of the support are seeing this as a point where they can now move on and have some input in shaping the future of any Hereford that might rise from the ashes. Not that I care obvs.
  12. And they'll point you in the direction of Bruce and what he seems to be saying. If a player can't or wont buy into what the team are doing in training, then after initially trying to accommodate his undoubted talent, he's not going to get into the squad or out onto the pitch and individual stats ultimately mean chuff all.

  14. Fair play, would love to see him get the December gong. /no chance.
  15. Man, not quite sure jealous covers it. For good or bad, they're moving football into the industrial era.
  16. You can say he gains from advertising, but even that wont last if he takes the club to the cleaners. Fact is, most of the things he's doing are long term, seeking profitability, aiming for cat 1 status, spending money on training facilities, primarily investing in youth. Yeah, even the fkn bore hole. All those things may ultimately benefit his own pockets (unless he returns to being the rare altruistic benefactor he purported to be before things went pear shaped) whether he sticks around or eventually sells up, but only because they also benefit/add value to is the club we all choose to invest in also. .
  17. Well it's a sickeningly popular view, granted. Still hurtful and fundamentally bollocks.
