Surely that would be ridiculously harsh? How would non-football men like Ashley and Mort judge the performances separate of results? The fans. Its quite easy to listen to how a season is going by the response of the crowd at the end of every match.

Ramos has got his work cut out. You can't manage bad luck especially the kind thats against you no matter what you do. It either breaks upon his arrival like a magical seal, or it continues for a while yet, at least until some changes in personnel come in.
-
Its actually been a really good game, which makes a change than the usual crap you get from the top 4 playing each other.

what did he bottle ? He was always threatening to quit over one thing or another, in the end the going got tough so he jumped ship, he's never had the guts to see out a rough patch in any job he's had. I was a big fan of Keegan when I was younger but the day he went on telly and gave it the "I'd love it" speech I felt embarrassed for the bloke and knew it was men against boys as far as him and Fergie was concerned. Word. During Spurs' days of God awful managers and coaches, I admired Keegan as an example of a manager in contact with the players but also with the fans, the chat on the steps of SJP when Andy Cole went springs to mind. But his 'I'd love it' speech made me cringe, you couldn't imagine Fergie or Wenger losing it like that. To be a top manager you always have to be in control and Keegan had let the pressure get to him for that interview. You didn't, did you? Oh dear you did...

90% certain about the spurs game. I'm about 80% sure he did it in Europe as well, could of even been against Barca (but that really could be wrong)

Agree with everything there. I do think we will get better but he needs to accept that he isn't a master tactician and should stop messing about with his formation and trying to be smart. The other week he had N'Zogbia on the right wing, now he's dropping him for a central midfielder, it is this trying to be clever which often backfires on managers who let the praise go to their head. Is it so difficult to play players in their correct positions and use a tried and tested formation? Robson made some mistakes but he never changed his formation, the players knew his system inside out, it was up to the other team to try and stop us. Pulling stunts like he did yesterday have cost us important points, we can't be taking these games for granted. I remember a few times Robson tried to change his formation, he wanted to go 3 at the back for about a 6 month period and thought Aaron Hughes was the key to making it work.

I really think it depends on us, the fans and how we react to the season. If were happy i think they'll allow him time. If were disgruntled they'll chop him for sure. I'm not saying we have the final shout, just it suggests from their behaviour so far they are desperate to be in touch with the fans and keep them happy. If were happy were paying.

In a nutshell.

Its a huge possibility. It really depends on how we miss out, if we get pipped at the post, or suffer a huge amount of injuries then you can say he deserves another crack. But if we under perform, and the fans and board don't see any real progression throughout the season, then he'll be sacked. But i've faith he'll get it right, sooner rather than later.

If we were Liverpool or Chelsea then i'd be concerned in the football we play. But were not them, and winning is a nice feeling we haven't had in many years, and that will do me for now, and for the next couple of seasons at least.

Sell Ameobi for £2mish and replace him with Crouch for £10m, would be great business for us.
-
He's a solid manager, potentially a great move for them. Just depends on whether he gets control of 1st team affairs or will people continue to stick their noses in where its not wanted. I don't think the current spuds setup will allow him to get on with his job properly.
-
I can't believe Ramos is actually lining up to join them. £25k a week contract as well, i'd have thought he'd demand double that. I'd rather stay where he is in Spain, crazy man. Good capture if they pull it off. (but this is all media talk who all have a hard on for anything Spurs)

The world's against them apparently. mackems.gif Time to build a memorial, the death of the 2007-08 season can be mourned already. Chicken foetus's at the ready. mackems.gif Laughing aside they still remain unbeaten in the league and are playing totally shite. Sign of a good team. The rotation is the problem, that and Sammi 'i should of left the prem two years ago' Hyypia. My finger continues to point at the manager. Clueless. As Sharath said, Houllier Part deux dos

I heard this about 3 weeks ago from tribal football. (Gennoe back injury, bolton GK coach as replacement) Everyone knocks the place but now and then they can get the finger on the pulse. (well print everything and you are bound to get it right sometimes)

I simply wouldn't pay money for Ledley King. Right now he has no football career. Same as Woody at Madrid, and Owen last year, all with horrendous recent injury records, all struggling to show people what they can do because of it. King is a great defender, but not as good as Woodgate, certainly not as good as Terry or Rio, but there's nothing much better thats English out there apart from that, Sol is good but age is showing. But King at his peak uninjured will never be as good as Sol was in his day, or Terry is now.

Harry: Get Berbatov out http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_2823374,00.html Under-fire Tottenham Hotspur manager Martin Jol would be "better off without" Dimitar Berbatov, according to Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp. The Bulgarian striker made a big impact in his debut season at White Hart Lane last season, scoring 23 goals. But Spurs' poor start to the new campaign has left Jol on the brink of unemployment and, Redknapp says, brought out the worst in Berbatov. The former Bayer Leverkusen striker appeared reluctant to come on as a substitute in the Londoners' 3-1 defeat at Newcastle United on Monday, and Redknapp is clear in his stance. Advice "The very last thing Martin Jol needs right now is Dimitar Berbatov spitting his dummy out because he's not in Tottenham's starting team every week," Redknapp said in his column in the Sun. "You only find out the true character of your players when the chips are down and the pressure is on. "And we all saw what Berbatov is made of when he was sat sulking on the bench at Newcastle the other night with a face like a big baby. "Everyone knows what a terrific player the Bulgarian can be. But he's not the striker he was a year ago and, from what I've seen, he looks to be disinterested and playing for himself rather than his team. "His attitude is terrible and his behaviour at St James' Park sent out all the wrong signals." Future The 26-year-old front man had been linked with a move to Old Trafford over the summer, but Redknapp believes Berbatov has blown any chance of a transfer to the champions now. "Maybe he's sulking because he didn't get a move to Manchester United in the summer," Redknapp added. "But he's done himself absolutely no favours on that account because I know for a fact Alex Ferguson would never stand for any player who behaves the way Berbatov has done this week. "When your team is in trouble you need the big characters to stand up. "That's just what Robbie Keane has done for Spurs and Berbatov should show the same attitude. I have always believed that when you lose a player's support you get him out as quickly as possible. "No matter how good, you're better off without him." Spurs play Getafe in the Uefa Cup on Thursday evening and it will be interesting to see if Jol heeds Redknapp's words.

You 100% sure about that? million percent tbh. Here's Linvoy Primus' 2007-08 appearance record thus far: Total (Club) 0 (0) 0 0 0 League 0 (0) 0 0 0 FA Cup 0 (0) 0 0 0 League Cup 0 (0) 0 0 0 European/Others 0 (0) 0 0 0 How sure did you say? Best post ever. Haha! Superb. Basically sums up all this biased bullshit.

Terrible Manager I wouldn't say terrible, i'd say average Championship manager who with a bit of luck can get a team promoted, and without it, could get them relegated. But thats about Bolton's level now so...
