 Fuking Bolton mugs

Well this is excellent news, i see SA is saying he needs 20+ games to prove himself worthy of a new contract as well.
-
I'm sure he does, I meant on the market. I know, just seems pointless selling him for that amount considering its a years wages, actually less. Although when you think back to Luque, in fact why are we a football club again???????????????
-
He gets more than £2m a year.

Shearer has become spokesperson for the Owen camp this season.

in 24 premiership games last season, Lennon got 3 goals and 8 assist so you're talking rubbish tbh. Whilst not terrible, that's also not brilliant, is it? I think Lennon is a good player, I do think he is overrated, though. When the usual Tottenham fans who write for the gutter press of London say Chelsea want him for £21m & SWP after 5-7 very good games and a NT debut, over rated doesn't really cover it does it?
-
Wor Glen was onto something with all that scouting, his gut intinct was right. Roeder the hero.
-
Jacks certainly got a new fishing rod over the weekend and is testing the waters with great effect today.
-
Dunno if anyone has mentioned him but, Matt Derbyshire. I think he could possibly be a class act in the future, i like his style, i know the link of clubs is probably making me say this, but his shooting abilities remind me of a young Shearer. Consistency and opportunities will define his future, but i wouldn't mind us producing something of that talent from our academy system, or even buying the lad himself.

Huddlestone and Lennon should be on that list yet you let Walcott off because of his age?? Tbh the only one that could possibly be on that list is Dawson as Robbo is s**** so cant really be over-rated. Agreed 100% on your Carragher comment though. He actually thinks he's something special. Dude seriously ... Jenas might be the poster boy for the term overrated. You talk about Obi mikel being a nothing player? Then what the hell is Jenas? Lennon is not overrated to me and Huddlestone could be something in a 4-3-3. They are both still young enough to emerge. Jenas however is utterly useless. hmmmmm a player that has managed 15 goals in a bit over 60 appearance which roughly equates to a goal every 4 games which goes to sho he isnt a 'nothing midfielder' as he actually has goals to his game (something obi Mikel dosent have. Zokora on the other hand can be described as a nothing midfelder although i rate him Look at how many goals Lampard gets you. JJ doesn't do much apart form get the odd goal, you could say an athletic cheap mans version of Lampard.
-
So who is everyone's number 1 over rated? Mine would of been Lampard, but it seems every fuker thinks he's shite now, even dropped from the 1st team for England.

Kaka's just explained it perfectly for me, so i wont bother. Take away your obvious biased towards the lad Walcott (and why i listed all those Spurs players ) and a slightly harsh criticism of 'The Bottler' i think the list can't really be argued with.
-
Paul Robinson Michael Dawson Jermaine Jenas Darren Bent Aaron Lennon Tom Huddlestone Should all be on that list. Walcott is young, his price was huge, but most of it wasn't paid upfront and is for future milestones. Babel i've not seen enough of, and think he could be deadly in the future, the rest are spot on though, maybe a bit harsh on Carragher, but still vastly over rated, especially by himself.

I will take your word for it.

That time of year again already!?!?!

That's the amazing thing. He doesn't have any. He is a front for everyone else. He's getting someone else to back him, and he'll just take over the brand, and hopefully draw more people to Virgin. I do like what Virgin 1 is doing on the TV tho. I think it's pushing it to say Richard Branson doesn't have any money. He does own a lot of stuff. What i was getting at is Northern Rock have loaned out about 120 billion, Branson is worth about 4 billion, but if he's fronting like he's done with cable then he'd actually only own a small stake. Hope the cunt doesn't, don't like him.

A player who scores 1 every 4 games is of more use to us than a player who scores almost a goal every other game if the player isn't playing enough games. Owen has played less than 10 games per season for us so a player who plays every game and only scores 1 in 4 will get twice as many goals. Selling Owen would be the same as selling Woodgate, selling Woodgate was the right decision, replacing him with Boumsong was the mistake. About sums it up for me,
-
I'm not sure, i think what would probably happen is we continue with Northern Rock until the contract runs out, as thats who were sponsored with. It would mean a shirt change, and am sure the club could argue quite rightly against that. Branson surely doesn't have the money to buy NR

Mint. Anyone seen the faithless video 'i want more' (i think thats what its called)

Agreed, superb attempts.

We should loan him to a Championship club until xmas, then try and loan him to a struggling club like Derby for the rest of the season, see if he can do anything without the pressure of NUFC on his back for a change. Would be the only way we'd get anything meaningful for him anyway, no one would pay good money to take him in his current situation. I think they probably would. And 1, he'd never drop a division. 2, that club wouldn't be able to pay his wages. 3, we wouldn't split his wages-per-week, why should we - what'd be the point in that case? He'll probably be here for the rest of the season, be in and out, ask for a move in the summer, and the guy's at a good age so someone will come in for him. I hope he does become a first choice centre-forward somewhere. Personally, i feel for the guy. 12 and a bit months ago, he was finally the main man at Newcastle after an entire career of trying - gets a shite injury - and is now in the worst position choice-wise that he's ever been in. He deserves to be a Premiership number 9 somewhere, i reckon. He's never going to be brilliant, but he'd do well at a Wigan - or even a Middlesbrough/Sunderland. Dropping a division only temp to get some goals and some form. It either sparks him into contention for a place back in our squad, or sparks potential suitors who may want to take him on loan in the prem at xmas time, or maybe a perm move in the future. His only option right now is to sit on the bench here if he's lucky, or move to a championship club on loan. I know which one i would do if i were him.
