  1. Awesome band. Make good computer components too.
  2. So what is your point Vic? Bellamy has had a better career than Shearer because he's earned more? But has he earned more? I wouldn't be too sure about that, the amount of sponsorship deals Shearer had over the years were in a league of his own until Beckham came along, unfortunately for Bellamy nobody likes him enough to offer him any serious cash in that area. Also Shearer had a good rate of pay over the seasons he was here, i bet his bonus' for goals scored amongst other payments from the club take him to a canny penny as well. Then you've got Shearer who won the League, something Bellamy never will do, you say both captained their National teams, but that like saying Shearer captained Newcastle and Justin Whittle captained Grimbsy, that point is highly irrelevant when your talking about the Welsh NT, has Bellamy (who got beat 5-1 on his debut as captain) made it to a World Cup yet or even Euro championship? Shearer won the golden boot in 96, will Bellamy ever do so? Amongst all that you have the types of personality. Shearer awarded an OBE, Bellamy hauled in front of the magistrates, say it all. Here are some more facts and figures Mr Bellamy will never achieve: # In the awards to mark ten seasons of the Premier League, Shearer was named as: Overall Player of the Decade, Domestic Player of the Decade, Outstanding Contribution to the Premier League and Top Goalscorer. # In recognition of Shearer's contribution to both English domestic and national football he was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2004. # Listed on the FIFA 100 list of "greatest living footballers". # Highest-ever Premiership goalscorer: 260 goals # Most Overall Goals Scored for Newcastle United: 206 # Most European Goals for Newcastle United: 30 # Top scorer for club: 1994-95, 1995-96, 1996-97, 1998-99, 1999-00, 2001-02, 2002-03, 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06 Unfortunately for Bellamy, money cannot buy you all that, and that's the difference between them both.
  3. Fuk Setanta, fuk the dirty horrible cunts. I hope they go bankrupt the dirty fuking thieving Irish tossers. I hope everyone can resist temptation to pay money to these cunts, they cant even manage to supply you with audio for 90mins for your £8 worth, amateur wankers.
  4. Who can't cross. 7 premiership assists in the premiership say otherwise. Did he have any premiership assists in cup competitions? Alves would be far better value for money at 20m than Chimbonda would be at 12m. £12m fee for decent EPL player drives Chelsea closer to paying the £20m + Boulharouz for a potential world class player.
  5. Just sees his fat self in Viduka, which is fair enough.
  6. Can't believe you've only made 82 posts!
  7. Not really. Chelsea had injuries last season which they'll be more prepared for this time around. The loss of Terry and Cech put them out of the title race really. Chelsea will win the vast majority of their games and will be right up there with them all the way. It's important to remember that Man Utd can only field 11 players and they can't do anything about Chelsea picking up points for 36 games of the season. No Jose put them out of the title race for moaning, whinging and cursing their luck over these injuries while basically telling the world he hasn't anyone to replace them knocking the confidence of those who stepped in. He could and should of rode out the storm over those two injuries, its two players FFS, but instead the 'poor me' act came out and no one had any sympathy for him, and he looked a right tool. He's even said he wasn't at his best last season and made mistakes. I expect a fully mentally prepared Mourinho for next season.
  8. So everyone keeps saying, but those same people said the same with the arrival of Ballack & Shevchenko last season with Chelsea. I think another factor is how well all the other teams are strengthening. Newcastle, West Ham & Citeh are going to make massive leaps with the Spuds, Portsmouth & Villa all having more quality options to them for next season. I certainly think its a bit premature to be saying that, but they've certainly pushed the boat out and capitalised on their unexpected (this time last year it was Chelsea chelsea & chelsea) title win last season.
  9. James would you tell NSG to tidy up the OP, its shocking.
  10. I'd expect less for Bridge. Chelsea were prepared for £5m bids last season, so i#d expect £6m would get us talking if Chelsea wanted to sell. If Chelsea don't then it doesn't matter how much we bid really.
  11. Championship players & Irishmen, i expected Sunderland to have done a lot more in the transfer market this summer. A long way to go, but its no wonder the likes of Nugent are turning them down, if any other established EPL club is interested in a player they'll choose them over Sunderland every time. They had aggressive (Forlan, Duff etc) plans and the whole place was buzzing, i just wonder how much our changes have taken the wind out of their sails? It sounds daft but they were on a high before SA's appointment, then along came Ashley, and no nothing is said or heard from the mackems anymore. I was really worried under GR about them coming up, but now they have become really insignificant...again.
  12. Just take them and let them try and sue us, it will amount to peanuts anyway.
  13. I'm in agreement, we need some very good talent to bring us up to scratch. I'd like to see us bring in a Tevez for £25m, but that looks unlikely (him or that kind of player or money spent) so instead i'd like to see us go crazy in defense. Wayne Bridge or Heinze, plus a support LB, Sol Campbell & either Luisao or Naldo to finish off out CB options with Beye as a minimum for RB, i'd like to see us aim higher and have Geremi as backup for that slot. None of that is in the realms of crazyness, it could be done, and it would be nice to go a season with a reliable defense pull us out of the shit when needed, and shake the tag we've carried for ten years since the KK era. Build from the back, works so well, history proves it.
  14. SSN's yellow bar now reporting its close to a deal.
  15. sightly gutted that we didn't attempt at going for him. I have no right to feel like that with our current activity or the fact were not a very attractive proposition for a world class player, but he'd be the one to change this club if we could of brought him in.
  16. Tevez would change the club, it would take us to the next level, he's exactly what were missing. £25m+ i reckon a its a sound investment, but bringing him here would probably be the biggest job on this summer, it certainly would stun me if he came here.
  17. Which is what the horrible bastard said about SA leaving and thats why SA is calling him bitter, nothing to do with the other staff leaving and/or coming here. One warped Chairman who i've totally lost all respect for.

    Roeder v Fat Sam

The five years related to "long term success and stability" the likes of Manchester achieved. So it isn't really a contradiction. Aye he's been asking for continuity, all the best and successful clubs have had their manager for a few years, not chopping and changing. Where the fuk dumb arse Glen finds he needs 5 years to hit top 6 from amgonst that is beyond me. The guy has just shown himself up big time.
  19. That kind of Ronaldo could quite possibly dominate the world again, its not too late for him. Healthy body, healthy mind, however with him its a case of how long until he loses morale and wants to give up on football again.

Never made an anti-Newcastle comment, never mentioned Spurs. Simply copied and pasted the Mail's article. How you interpret that is your problem. Incidentally, I did look around the Uefa site to see if I could verify the figures, I couldn't find anything, maybe you can. "Hardly worth the effort." So you come on here, a NUFC forum, telling us our UEFA cup efforts were hardly worth the effort then when someone gets their back up you tell them its not anti NUFC and its their problem for thinking otherwise.

    Mickey raring to go

Go on James, lay the nut on him, finish him off!
  22. I think you need to take a fuking chill pill tbf. Upson isn't worth £8m, Davies is barely worth £7m and Lescott isn't worth much more, and as for the not fit to lace his boots comment, he's not John Terry. My point being there is nothing in this league, so get off your high horse and £15m? Typical Evertonian bullshit at its finest.
  23. Lescott? How much did Everton pay for him? £4m? Offer £7m, although for that i think you'd get Luisao, a few more and were talking Naldo. Lescott, Yobo, Campbell (cheaper) are really the only EPL options available right now, and the 1st two will take some cash to prize out of Everton. Campbell should be snapped up regardless of whoever else we buy, his experience alone would bring Taylor on to the next level. 7m for Lescott? What are you laughing at? You saying he's worth more than £7m? I'd say that's how much he's worth compared to what else you can get abroad if thats not enough for Everton then they've over priced a player yet again. I was saying it's overpriced for a player who's played in the Premiership for a year. Fair enough, but Moyes is Scottish, he's a tight arse, you'd have to pay over the odds to get one of his decent players (yet he expects you to give them away) and Lescott is enjoying a growing rep right now. £7m is an absolute max, a few more games and Everton will have paid £5m in total, so really you've got to start looking elsewhere (which was my point about not many options right now for CB in the EPL for us)

Had his heart set on a move since he heard their new strikeforce is Bent and Keane. Canny.
