  1. More Owen's fault for going to the WC unfit and endangering his career. Care to prove his state of fitness around the time of last year's World Cup? Not match fit, simple as really. How many games did he play in 2006?
  2. More Owen's fault for going to the WC unfit and endangering his career. Name one football fan in the world who would not play in the World Cup despite being passed as fit by both club and country doctors. He wasn't match fit and was why he came away with an injury, it doesn't matter if he was right to go, he wasn't fit, it didn't pay off, and he and the FA are partly responsible for where we've finished in the league and therefore responsible for us not having Europe and why he's in the position of leaving.

  4. Fernandes also works in the EPL while the other guy is an unknown gamble. Captains Porto ffs... over 30 caps for argentina... great technique with hell of a shot on him. Unknown gamble... Has he played in the EPL? No, thats what i meant and he would be a gamble until we've seen him here. Shevchenko & Veron, those two should emphasize my point beautifully
  5. I'm certain ours is correct but the Spuds one must be miles off. I know they don't have Owen on the books which drives ours up by £5m a season, but they do have about 3 times as many players as us, all on healthy wages and the like of King, Berbatov & Lennon will rival any of our top earners bar EMO. I think its about right tbh. Our highest earner is Keane on 40 k. Players like Berbatov and Lennon are on 22k and 20 k a week respectivly. total bollocks. why you getting worked up for? it isnt bollock mate so calm down. Were known for our extremely tight wage structure. AM that worked up i only noticed your reply now, and its still bollocks and i really don't care, but it is wrong imo and my opinion is all that matters to me. Plus if am wrong, see above Seriously though, if your right then the SPuds have done very well keeping these players on tight arse contracts, but i'd imaging that will change if Berbs is going to stay, no doubt he'll want a new contract if he's only on £40k.

    Derek Boateng

    Who is this Kingston like?
  8. I honestly believe these people come out with such shite because they want an alternative view, Vic is a prime example. Viduka, when he's on song is unplayable, his lack of desire (at times) for me has cost him being recognised as one of Europe's best strikers, because he's got more than enough ability to be held in that light. He's done well at Boro, I think this move will further re-invigorate him. It's not like his main asset is pace neither, we could easily get 2 or 3 quality years out of him. I don't know who some of these people think we are! Terrific signing, and to be honest I'm delighted James Beattie/Kevin Davies/Kenny Miller players of that ilk (who couldn't wipe Dukes arse), will not be coming. Im not a fan, and was dead against the idea of him signing under Roeder, but under Sam its a different kettle of fish for me. The questions about desire, temperament and fitness against him disappear quite quickly and he becomes a fantastic free signing, especially when you consider he is the replacement for Sibi. This is me putting more faith in Sam then Viduka, but around 20 goals last season in a poor Boro team is a good start for anyone really, maybe my hatred of him in the past has blinded me slightly of his talent? This is good sensible business and it must sting like a bitch if your a Boro fan.

  10. Replacement of Sibi, just think of it like that and its a great signing, am not his biggest fan but the stats dont lie and it would fuk the smogs off so much, on a free as well.

  12. load of bollocks tbh. Why would we be interested in Parker. Simply dosent make sense. oh thanks for jenas though. Apparently you just bid for him (and we rejected it), he is a spuds fan btw. They've got no pride, he's already rejected them once.
  13. I'd still snap their hand off, but then even in the current market I'd take £1m for him. He's hopeless. Sooner he's gone the better. Thank f*** you aren't chairmen then although it does explain a lot regarding your support for Shepherd. Buy high, sell low, the HTL/Shepherd guide to Business. With this deal we are making between £0.5m and £2m depending which report you believe - While the BBC claim a £7m bid, there are still loads claiming it to be a £8.5m bid. If Parker doesn't want to be here anymore, either due to upset with supporters or simply that his family haven't settled/never came with him, then I think its best to let him go - at least we aren't losing money on a deal for a change! Just the £5m we paid him plus his signing on fee.

  15. When being padantic it is best to spell check, incase other Pedantic people comment on your typos. Never knew pendantic had a capital P
  16. Soften the blow for them with an offer to take Dyer.
  17. I'd reckon SPurs is a lot higher than that, especially since the lowest is Wigan at £20m. Think how many player Spurs have, all on daft 30ks like Murphy, Gahly etc...
  18. Saw it on SSN's this morning: Eto'o + £17m, yeah that 'deal' is about to happen.
  19. You were insecure enough not to want us to sign Bowyer on the grounds he was found innocent under a court of law of charges that you (like others) become self righteous about. He wasn't found innocent in McDonalds at Charlton, nor was he found innocent of taking drugs, nor was he found innocent of a vicious stamp on the head of a Malaga player. As a player, I didn't think Bowyer was worth the hassle, which turned out to be true since his most memorable act at NUFC is the fight with Dyer. Same stance with Barton, I admit it's possibly a hypocritical one, but more simply a matter of pros and cons. They're both a pair of horrible little scrotes. Ridiculous post, particularly the last sentence. I'm sure you know the age of Bowyer when the incident happened at McDonalds, so it seems you're the kind of person who holds such a thing against a person for the rest of their life. Thank goodness the people who create English aws and sentencing guidelines don't think the daft way you do. So aye, hypocritical is the word, so I agree with on on that point. Looks was Sir Les did to the Blue Peter garden! Thug.
  20. If i can have Baines, Viduka, Ben Haim & Boateng (might as well add him in even though i know nowt about him but for £1m its worth a gamble) in and Parker out by next week this would be good progress.
  21. £9m Champions League release clause: Chelsea - Not in the market for a new striker unless they sell their £30m flop which will be hard to shift and they'd have to take a huge cut. Owen doesn't fit the Jose profile and certainly not his 4-5-1. Arsenal - Can't afford a pot to piss in. Henry & Wenger uncertain of their future, Wenger would look elsewhere as the club would struggle with the fee nevermind his daft wages. Liverpool - Where he wants to be, Rafa does not want him, the club can go over his head and sign him, but Owen just wouldn't get the love or games and Rafa would probably walk. Manu - Just spent £50m on 3 players confirmed last night, 3 players Fergie said he would sign are now a done deal, cue Owen's twitchy arse and finally some public communication to the NUFC fans. Fuking prick.
  22. Apart from Owen Hargreaves Man Utd have consolidated rather than improved the quality of the first team squad. If Chelsea could get a top striker who works well immediately with Drogba then Man Utd and Chelsea's first teams are evenly matched again. Wasn't that the plan with £30m Shevchenko last year? Chelsea will find it hard to catch up, there central midfield is boring and industrial, infact bar Cole & Robben who are always injured Chelsea are a team of defenders.
  23. Stroll around like a lazy arsehole while being their captain.
  24. Beat me by milliseconds I reckon Anderson wasn't in the plan, it just happened, Owen or a striker is was and is still a target for the club.
