Fair comment. However these are just options. If it was a choice between selling a highly rated player to buy a defender or a striker, or having less options, I'd choose to sell Jonas ahead of other players (excluding the obvious such as Smith)

I recall us being linked with him this time last year, and the general concencus then was that he'd be an extra body, was young, supposed to have potential, and therefore worth a punt. Don't really see what has changed.

Barton is being how he is being because of mismanagement, in particular because Llambias interferes in management of players when he has no people skills. However Barton's behaviour is now unreasonable regardless of what is true and false and regardless of how he is handled. You only have to see the tweets about Cabaye to realise that Barton didn't respect certain players.

I've not read the last ten or so pages. Where is that being suggested? Local press. Started end of last season apparently including a fight with another senior player. Depends on whether you believe it but there is evidence about Cabaye on Barton's Twitter.

If Barton had been bullying younger players and Cabaye then he had to go. All depends on whether that is true though. Although some may remember Barton having a dig at Cabaye for the crime of signing for the club, and you got the impression Cabaye had his card marked from day one.

I'd say Llambias is worse personally.
