It’s really hard because clubs will hold us ransom right down to deadline day to maximise the price - and at the same time we have to consider FFP - spend to much on ‘just get by’ players and maybe even get relegated anyway is quite damaging to this regard.
-
You know what, I’d rather support Norwich or Fulham than Everton. at least with either of those you are guaranteed a season or two of attacking, winning football, and then any win in the Premier League is joyful - then one bad season just leads to a reset back to square one with more attacking and winning football. whereas Everton just exist. Win, lose, draw, every game they have played since 1996 has been meaningless.

Think about it. Arsenal offer PL football. Juventus offer black and white stripes. We offer both.
-
which is why they will wait and it is why we’ve done no regular business other than Trippier who had a gentleman’s agreement with Atletico and Wood who has a relegation release clause.
-
Regardless, with exception of possibly Lingard, lack of fixtures means we can revert to the age old transfer window preference of all clubs and agents to run things right to the wire.
-
We aren’t allowed Donny and Lingard anyway unless we work out a permanent deal for the latter.

Where am I going to go now if the forum goes down to ask if the forum has gone down
-
I can confirm this, it goes as far as a forum for just me and HTT, it is called The Padded Cell
-
Or possibly Howe has had a change of heart on the LB situation and would prefer to focus on other positions for now
-
I don’t think we would want to wait two years for that

Can I please remind people that he has been injured since we signed him and is having injections in his foot. he should be nowhere near the team until he recovers but we don’t have enough players. he isn’t shit, he is injured and it isn’t his fault that Bruce and Ashley blew the entire summer budget on an injured player.
-
wood is the backup we should already have…but don’t
-
transfer dealings are a very intensive period and selling clubs aren’t going to want to distract their focus for something that can instead be deal with in January or the summer. also agents and clubs can maximise income by going as late as possible with negotiations
-
Strikers from abroad can take a few games to really start scoring, we need Wood as the safer fall back option and then someone more interesting from abroad. targeting Wood is therefore a good idea
-
Jones said he has been having painkilling injections in his foot since he rejoined. basically we signed an unfit player and expected him to play any way.
-
Think if we get our ducks lined up with transfers, get wins against Watford and Leeds, we should pull together the £67m release clause for Haaland on 23rd January. that doesn’t mean he’s going to want to sign for us, but it could launch a significant transfer merry-go-round with secondary names becoming available to us.

interview Derek Llambias and Lee Charnley while we are at it
-
“Prefers London” is a red flag for me. also dropped by Rafa presumably for balance reasons as Rafa likes a defence minded LB. personally having signed Trippier I think the balance isn’t great unless we play a back 5
-
yep and in theory he’d have to isolate until complete. however as stated above he probably falls under the elite sportsman exemption
-
I know isolation rules are meant to be relaxed for travel end of the week but I’m a bit confused about how Trippier can do all he is doing in terms of signing today. Anyone know?
-
My only interest is the possibility that we auction the NFT for the Shola Apple picture and an anonymous bidder buys it for £500m, enabling us to work around those new sponsorship rules

Is Eddie Nketiah any good? Seems like he wants out at Arsenal and has 6 months left on contract
