Wood is still the best centre forward in 9/10 games, Howe chose a good time to rest him. I do however wonder whether we may be better playing 5-5-0 next two games

We’ve always been a club that looks out for its own. By basically rescuing us from certain relegation and then some, Eddie is one of us now. so unless things go really bad again, which they won’t, he at least gets to see out his contract here, and I’d be unhappy with the owners for anything less

I think the issue is that Ashworth knows every single priority transfer target that Brighton has right now. if Brighton know about a 20 year old Tunisian league player who has a minimum release clause of £820k who they’d expect to be worth £25m after three seasons of PL experience for example, then there is no realistic compensation figure that would persuade them to break Ashworth’s contract.

this is kind of my thinking. ASM is so inconsistent both in terms of form and fitness that we either have to get someone better, or have a young player to play backup. this would be similar to what we had with Robert and N’Zogbia with the latter getting a lot of games. that would then allow us to invest more on a right winger and striker

What positions can Anderson play and what is his best position? Personally I think if he has a position where he can play 20 games next season then there is no need to loan.

i don’t think it is implausible that Burnley pick up quite a few points off a team who haven’t played and who are quite frankly coasting to nowhere

I don’t think this will ever be a fair comparison, both Robert and Ben Arfa were much better in the final third of the pitch, you would see that they could bring something to the team offensively no matter how we were set up. ASM has not yet demonstrated the same level of adaptability and quality.

Just played three away games in a week and we looked tired. was a mistake to bring ASM on but otherwise can’t fault
