Nothing that couldn't have been done in a left wing position. Until we get midfielders of immense attacking ability, playing Zog at left back compromises the team both defensively (because his defensive attributes aren't great) and offensively (because he is being held back by defensive responsibilities)
-
Stupid comment, dont think anyone believes Zog wants to play there. He's an attacking player and always has been. Not a stupid comment at all, it is clear from both derby and West ham that the opposition know his weakness in that position and will act accordingly.
-
Was still an outstanding attacking performance mind, but everything he did well today was what we would want to see from a very good left winger.
-
Not good enough, and has been found out. It showed today that he hates being under any pressure, gives the ball away too much, players are able to run inside and behind him, gets turned easily, can only tackle when tracking back. No coincidence that West ham looked most threatening down their right hand side. Unsettled Cacapa as well, who gave him a real bollocking at one point. Stick him in midfield.
-
A very solid and energetic performance. Not the best end product, but I wont really criticise him for that.
-
Who misses the pen then? Us or Wham? George Michael

Allardyce has been hinting towards an Owen/Martins partnership. Given Beye Rozehnal Cacapa Taylor Milner Geremi Smith N'Zogbia Owen Martins

The Bristol Rovers tea lady. According to Ian Holloway, she saw Martyn playing in a Sunday league game while she was on holiday in Cornwall, and arranged a trial at Rovers. A week later he was in the first team.

I can't stand it when people make references to how good players are on games, or any shite like that. Although, his style of play suits a midfield position, apart from his finishing that is. I can't stand it when people take everything I post seriously.

Say Cheese! (or in Carr's case, lay off the cheese)

Actually you can just about see Zoggy's new haircut, so they were recent pics. -

There was a competition with that as the prize, but for some reason, it didn't happen. -

Those individual photos must have been taken a while ago given Beye and Faye's absence, and the fact that Zog doesn't have his new haircut. -

Those are good individual photos to be honest. Way better than previous editions. -

Enrique looking left out -
He's started all but two Premiership games, and he has had enough time on the pitch to make an impact as a substitute in the other games.
-
Is doing well there for me in Football Manager - has scored few goals, got a few assists and got an average of 7.71 in this European Super League I downloaded.

do you not remember how s*** Del Horno was?? It was between him and Babayaro. What abt enrique???Zog would be better lb than Del Horno as well! I'm leaving out Zoggy and Enrique because this is a stupid pisstake.

If there is one manager I'd love to see knock Tottenham out of the UEFA cup, it is Temuri Ketsbaia.

Given Geremi Taylor Terry Del Horno Wright-Phillips Essien Emre Duff Drogba Owen Manager: Jose Mourinho
-
Trouble with Mourinho is that he is very short term. He'd certainly give us a good period of two or three years, but then he'd hop off because he's done all he can do, or because he's fallen out with someone, and then, the club wouldn't be much better than the one he took over. He doesn't seem to do much about infrastructure either, that was mostly undertaken by other staff members at Chelsea. As a club, the foundations of Newcastle have been light years behind other clubs, and although steps have been taken, we are still catching up. Allardyce is the man to build these foundations.
-
How idiotic. Lets just ask one of the best managers in Europe behind Allardyce's back if they want to come here, and when rejected, it would just get leaked in the press, Allardyce would be undermined and very pissed off, and we get left with Peter Reid in charge.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/7002102.stm Doesn't need a hernia or groin operation. Should be fit for West Ham.
