  2. Also: "talk of Steven Taylor being unhappy and wanting to move away is way of the mark"
  3. I suppose you think I should tell you my source Anal
  4. He's in talks with Galatasary but hasn't signed yet. Just text for more information again and got this: "The word on the grapevine is that if United offer Emerton a two year contract he will happily sign on the dotted line next week. He is holding out as long as possible and I understand he wants to sign for United if the contract is right. I also have it on good authority that he will take up the vacant number 5 shirt despite Sol Campbell's imminent signing".
  5. Before you ask, I can't reveal my source.
  6. A person I know with great sources and who never lets me down told me word for word about an hour ago "he's 100% signing next week, I have it on good authority he will be having a medical with Brett Emerton next Monday and will definitely be signing".
  7. Forgot all about Perch there as well. Is he quick though? I haven't seen that much of him really, just when we played them and the odd Forest match I watched last season where I didn't take much notice of him. If we sign Campbell that would be the last of the defenders I would have thought. With Perch, Simpson, R.Taylor and S.Taylor able to play right back, Campbell, Colo, Taylor, Williamson, Perch and Kadar able to play at centre back, and Jose and Kadar left back I think we will see that as us covered although I wouldn't agree when it comes to the overall quality beyond the best few players out of them lot.
  8. The thing that worried me the most is the lack of pace in our defence apart from Enrique. Having said that I think S.Taylor, Campbell, Collocini, Enrique would be better than a lot of back fours in the Premiership if they could all stay fit. Taylor is prone to injury though and Campbell won't be able to play over 30 games I wouldn't imagine.
  9. Aye it is there. I watched the USA and Algeria matches there. There was a bit of bother for the USA game but didn't notice anything for the Algeria match. The screens a decent size but the sound isnt that great. The pints are £3 or you can buy 4 cans for a tenner (they open all of the cans up for you when you buy them for some reason). It does get quite busy but its easy to get in and get a pint. Its decent enough like but I wouldn't travel that far for it. I'm just going to the local for the Slovenia match. Its only really worth going if the weathers nice and you're planning on staying out in town afterwards imo. Attracts some pricks.
  10. Look at where Man City are comapred to us and look at Given's age. He owed us nowt.
  11. He'd be much more effective than Nolan in the Premiership for us like. Part of me thinks I don't want him back after the spineless performances he put in for us and the way he used to go missing and not look for the ball when we were playing shit, but realistically we aren't anywhere the level we were at before and he would offer us some legs in the middle which we desperately need. Its never gonna happen like but I'd take him for £5m or less if we sold Nolan for a few million. I'd be a lot more confident of us staying up if we get some legs in the middle of the pitch
  12. Born 1986 Seaman Neville A.Cole Adams Ferdinand Beckham Scholes Ince Gazza Shearer Sheringham
  13. I haven't heard good reports from his loan spell at Derby. JESUS. Stephen Hunt i mean He looked quite impressive in the few games I seen him play for Hull last season.
  14. I'd definitely take Nicky Hunt for the right price. I wouldn't really target any West Ham players like with the wages they are meant to be on. We should definitely do what we can to get O'Hara. I'd love to see us go for Robbie Keane but I can't see Spurs loaning him to us and they would want a fair few million plus he will want a hefty wage for a permanent transfer. Daniel Sturridge on loan anyone?
  15. How many of them would get in our current team? Half of them? Quite scary really.
  16. I was looking around trying to find where the missing 6000-7000 were but from what I could see there was no more than 2000 exmpty seats.
  17. I fucking love Jose and Coloccini. Especially Jose
  18. And how does Bullard make sure we say up if he is on the treatment table for all but 5 games? Jimmy Bullard ... yikes! True He's got some cracking jokes to tell this group of lads though
  19. I'd take Beye back rather than play Simpson. He'd still do a good job for us. I think he's just bene unfortunate since he moved to Villa. Beye, Bullard (if Hull go down) and O'Hara would be a good start. I know Bullards getting on now and he doesn't fall into our U25 criteria so we probably won't even be in for him like but he would be a good signing depending on wages. We can't really be picky next season, we need to sign players who are going to make sure we stay up first rather than worry about sell on values.
  20. Sit the bastard down and sort him out. I don't think any of the current coaching staff can handle him properlybut we can't let him go. We need him now and we'll need him next season as well. We've had Shearer punching Gillespie and Bellamy chucking chairs about before in the past. Carroll isn't anywhere near their class of course but we're not in a position to get rid of any of our players just out of morality. The truth is we will not be able to replace him if we sell him because we already need a load of other fucking players all over the pitch.
  21. Remember in 2006 when Edgar's contract was about to expire and we were all concerned about losing him after a few good performances
  22. Although he's clearly not up to playing a key role in a major tournament anymore, I would rather have him as an option coming off the bench than SWP or Walcott when it comes to a right sided midfielder like.
  23. He's only recently had a run of form, for the first and most part of the season he's been shit, as well as in his previous first team performances. IfWhen his form runs out he'll once again be useless. He actually looked good at the start of the season imo but he did lose form and he had a poor patch. He will lose form again, its all about finding consistency and learning. You can't expect him to come into his first full season and be consistent and bang in 25 goals. He's never played more than a handful of games before, never mind be one of our main strikers. I have no problems at all with him being one of our main 4 strikers next season as long as he's not starting and we sign a couple of good Premiership strikers (highly unlikely).
  24. I'll never understand the stick and criticism Carroll gets as a player for his age and with the contribution he's gave up this season. Impressive first full season imo. He's not a world beater but he can improve and he's certainly got time on his side to go on and become a good Premiership striker.
