    Hatem Ben Arfa

Does he actually play off the strikers or is he more of a left winger?
  2. From what I've seen of Best Id rather actually have Ranger, Xisco or Harewood. Thats not saying anything about the quality of them players mind.
  3. Why? Best is absolutely shite and it looked like we weren't going to sign another striker. Now we are left with 4 strikers, one of who is a 18/19 year old not ready yet and that might just be the thing which makes us go for a new striker. If we replace Best with better then it would be a blessing.
  4. I think we'll definitely replace him. Hughton clearly doesn't fancy Ranger yet. If we're talking of signing any big name players though then I would think Robbie Keane is a lot more likely than Bellamy. He's Irish, got a good attitude and he's probably on less than Bellamy.
  5. How would we get Bellamy though? Theres quite a few stumbling blocks. His age, transfer or loan fee and his big wages being the main ones. I don't see how we would overcome them with Ashley like. Also, something tells me Hughton wouldn't quite fancy having someone like Bellamy around the place. I hope I'm totally wrong though, a fit Bellamy would keep us up.
  6. Just putting a posistive spin on it, as well as Hughton probably needing a new striker now, it might put a bit more urgency to get this Arfa deal done one way or another so we can move on.

Without trying to sound a cunt, this could be a blessing
  8. S.Taylor - Campbell - Colo - Enrique The question should have been who should partner Colo.

  10. Also: "talk of Steven Taylor being unhappy and wanting to move away is way of the mark"
  11. I suppose you think I should tell you my source Anal
  12. He's in talks with Galatasary but hasn't signed yet. Just text for more information again and got this: "The word on the grapevine is that if United offer Emerton a two year contract he will happily sign on the dotted line next week. He is holding out as long as possible and I understand he wants to sign for United if the contract is right. I also have it on good authority that he will take up the vacant number 5 shirt despite Sol Campbell's imminent signing".
  13. Before you ask, I can't reveal my source.
  14. A person I know with great sources and who never lets me down told me word for word about an hour ago "he's 100% signing next week, I have it on good authority he will be having a medical with Brett Emerton next Monday and will definitely be signing".
  15. Forgot all about Perch there as well. Is he quick though? I haven't seen that much of him really, just when we played them and the odd Forest match I watched last season where I didn't take much notice of him. If we sign Campbell that would be the last of the defenders I would have thought. With Perch, Simpson, R.Taylor and S.Taylor able to play right back, Campbell, Colo, Taylor, Williamson, Perch and Kadar able to play at centre back, and Jose and Kadar left back I think we will see that as us covered although I wouldn't agree when it comes to the overall quality beyond the best few players out of them lot.
  16. The thing that worried me the most is the lack of pace in our defence apart from Enrique. Having said that I think S.Taylor, Campbell, Collocini, Enrique would be better than a lot of back fours in the Premiership if they could all stay fit. Taylor is prone to injury though and Campbell won't be able to play over 30 games I wouldn't imagine.
  17. Aye it is there. I watched the USA and Algeria matches there. There was a bit of bother for the USA game but didn't notice anything for the Algeria match. The screens a decent size but the sound isnt that great. The pints are £3 or you can buy 4 cans for a tenner (they open all of the cans up for you when you buy them for some reason). It does get quite busy but its easy to get in and get a pint. Its decent enough like but I wouldn't travel that far for it. I'm just going to the local for the Slovenia match. Its only really worth going if the weathers nice and you're planning on staying out in town afterwards imo. Attracts some pricks.
  18. Look at where Man City are comapred to us and look at Given's age. He owed us nowt.
  19. He'd be much more effective than Nolan in the Premiership for us like. Part of me thinks I don't want him back after the spineless performances he put in for us and the way he used to go missing and not look for the ball when we were playing shit, but realistically we aren't anywhere the level we were at before and he would offer us some legs in the middle which we desperately need. Its never gonna happen like but I'd take him for £5m or less if we sold Nolan for a few million. I'd be a lot more confident of us staying up if we get some legs in the middle of the pitch
  20. Born 1986 Seaman Neville A.Cole Adams Ferdinand Beckham Scholes Ince Gazza Shearer Sheringham
  21. I haven't heard good reports from his loan spell at Derby. JESUS. Stephen Hunt i mean He looked quite impressive in the few games I seen him play for Hull last season.
  22. I'd definitely take Nicky Hunt for the right price. I wouldn't really target any West Ham players like with the wages they are meant to be on. We should definitely do what we can to get O'Hara. I'd love to see us go for Robbie Keane but I can't see Spurs loaning him to us and they would want a fair few million plus he will want a hefty wage for a permanent transfer. Daniel Sturridge on loan anyone?
  23. How many of them would get in our current team? Half of them? Quite scary really.
  24. I was looking around trying to find where the missing 6000-7000 were but from what I could see there was no more than 2000 exmpty seats.
