  1. EVEN MARLON HAREWOODS LOST FOR WORDS http://www.yourprops.com/norm-48c6ca7f2fe8b-Beetlejuice+(1988).jpeg
  2. All of them are/have been top players but Scholes had that extra special ability. He was a seriously top top player at his peak and his vision, passing and shooting ability was unbelievable. His brain was a step ahead of most players. Very clever player and I don't think the other players are as good as Scholes at his very best.

  4. Aye, one of the key things this summer for me will be what he does with our midfield. If he doesn't sign some new cnetre midfielders then that will give a clear indication that he thinks Nolan and Smith are good enough. He has to be brave and forget names and reputations.
  5. TEAM HARPER SIMPSON VAN BASTEN WILLIAMSON COLOCCINI ROUTLEDGE GUTHRIE NOLAN JONAS LOVEN CARROLL More than happy with that
  6. Nah not for me like. Square pegs in round holes. It would be weakining our defence as well as he is just about the best defender in the league (even though Williamson has been impressive and Hall has been solid). He wouldn't offer anymore than our other central midfielders either when it comes to legs cos he's not fast either. It would just be taking something away from defence and not adding anything significant to our midfield. If Jonas is back and we moved Guthrie into the middle in place of Nolan then we would be a lot more effective.
  7. He was excellent in that run under KK. Decent with a few vital contributions. Far from excellent. Best he played for us though.
  8. Wigan aren't as attractive as they were before. They have always been a shit club but they had some stability and good players under fat head. They've lost a few players now and they're likely to lose one or two more. I doubt they are attractive in the short term or long term really.
  9. Another thing that the signings of Routledge and possibly Moses do is make it an even bigger possibility that we won't see much of Nicky Butt again. The signing of Routledge means that Guthrie won't play out wide much anymore therefore he will either be in the middle or he will be first choice to step in for Nolan or Smith if they are out. Unless we get more injuries I can't see where Butt is gonna get in anymore with him being 5th choice when Barton is back (we hope anyway). If we signed Moses it would give us more options to use different systems as well.
  10. I think Carroll alongside Lovenkrands withj Routledge and Jonas on the wings and Guthrie in the middle would get the best out of Lovenkrands and I think Carroll would be a lot more productive in front of goal with some pace (allowing more space for him) and more creativity. That is of course if we didn't play the hoof game.
  11. It would actually make more sense to start Kadar considering that this lad will probably only be here for a month and its an ideal chance to give Kadar a little run in the team. Not sure if Van Bommel would have signed though if he wasn't promised to start in the team.
  12. Just realised I'm off on Monday Get in. Not that I'm saying we will sign him but it will be nice to sit back and watch the last minutes deals go through knowing that we've done good business in this window and we are in the race to sign Moses
  13. I don't know but Carroll wins an awful lot in the air and he's not been helped by the fact he's been flicking it on to the likes of Kevin Nolan. He hasn't had Lovenkrands alongside him very often. I don't like the long ball system at all and we shouldn't use it. I'd like to think that Taylor and Routledge can offer us some service down the right tomorrow, and if Taylor can put a couple of balls in the air then I'd have considence in Carroll getting on the end of it. A lot of the time this season we've resorted to the long hoof or hoping Jonas and Enrique can create something. Now we should have that extra bit of serice down the right. Routledge and Taylor is potentially a lot more creative down the right side than Simpson and Guthrie (who I really like but he's not a winger).
  14. Carroll wins a lot of balls in the air and I think he would be a more effective partner for Lovenkrands with flick ons. I like Ranger but I do think Carroll is a bigger goal threat at this stage. People will argue and say Ranger has 2 league goals and Carroll has 4 but I don't think Ranger would have scored many more if he had started all of the time.
  15. -------------------------Harper-------------------- Taylor------Williamson------Colo--------Van Basten Routledge--Guthrie--------Smith--------Jonas ----------------Carroll-------Lovenkrands--------- Thats how I'd go. I know it will never happen and Nolan has scored some vital goals for us this season but he has been very poor recently and to get the best out of him we would need to work the system around him. Would definitely start Jonas, Routledge and Loven though for their pace. The thought of them 3 on the counter attack with their pace, plus the prospect of Jonas and Loven linking up on the left side of the pitch and Guthrie in the middle with his ability to create chances (and the fact he has legs unlike Nolan) excites me a lot more than any other team we could put out tomorrow I actually think theres a slight chance Hughton might go: -----------------------Harper----------------------- Taylor-------Colo-----------Williamson------Van Basten Guthrie--------Nolan-------Smith-------Jonas ----------------------Routledge----------------- ---------------------Carroll------------------
  16. Where would he play though if he signed? Surely he would want to be a first choic
  17. I haven't seen that much of him really but he is rated highly by people who have seen him. Surely if we match whatever offer them teams put in we would be the most appealing for him to join. We're the most likely to go up and he might fancy a crack up here. Saying that though, there will probably be Premiership teams who come in for him.
  18. Routledge, Jonas and Lovenkrands should be the first names on the teamsheet when it comes to the front 6 as far as I'm concerned.
  19. Why on earth would he put Routledge on the bench? If he's fit and he's been playing in this league regularly then put him straight in from the start. He'll be raring to go and what better place to start than a home match against his old club where if we put in a decent performance we will win and thats only good for confidence. Start the new lads (if we sign Williamson as well), lets not fuck about.
  20. I used to tell him he was a decent young player.
  21. Its funny how attitudes change so quickly. Not long ago most people were moaning and negative after it looked like the Williamson deal was off, Harewood was crocked and there wasn't anything looking close. Now we've pulled Routledge out of nowhere, we look like we're gonna sign Williamson and then we'll be able to put out full efforts into signing a striker to complete our squad for the rest of the season. We could still do with more depth like but realistically we're not gonna do much more than that now. These players aren't exciting names like we've been used to in the past, but at least they're a great age, hungry, proven quality in this division and they will feel they have something to prove if we go up.
  22. Guthrie 8 assists? I knew he had a few but didn't know it was that many. Good to see Jonas up there as well. It says on our official website that Routledge has 7 goals in something like 49 games for QPR which is pretty much a seasons return. Not too bad for a winger.
  23. Very happy with this! I'd almost resigned myself to the fact that Hughton didn't think we needed some width on the right then out of nowhere we've gone and bought a pacey right winger at a good age who is a very good player in this division. This signing could turn out to be our best and most important signing of this window. Even if we sign another striker, a natural right winger will give us a whole new dimension.
  24. Lets hope so. Straight into the team in the middle.
