Its a bit random for the Chronice to report this sort of story if its just specualation so late in the day.

A few hours ago my mate whos a Sunderland fan said that Jones is on his way for a medical on Monday but he said a fee has been agreed. He's a Sunderland fan and his source was the popular "I know someone whos friends with" but he's not an idiot. He mentioned this before this story had broke but obviously the storys differ. I can't see him going on loan mind.

He left at a late stage in his career for a much better club with a proper manager and with much better short term prospects. It hasnt worked out for him so far but I do not blame him one bit for leaving us. As far as I'm concerned, if he is cheap then I would sign him straight up if he was available. He's better than what we've got and better than what we will be able to get in our first season back up. Thats all that matters for me like.

They had a points scheme thing going on last year for away matches didn't they? Would 9 points actually be a lot if they brought that back in when going to apply for Sunderland, Manure, Smoggies etc? I've been to quite a few away matches but not all of them were bought from my season ticket. Suppose the ones which were and cup matches must have built a few points up though.

I've just been in contact with the box office to sort out an issue with my account on the official website box office and have now managed to log in. I no longer have a season ticket but I did have one from August 01-May 07 then I had one in 08/09 as well. Obviously I missed the 07/08 season which means that I had to get a brand new season ticket and lose any loyalty points etc (or so I thought). Anyway to my surprise I have just logged onto my account now and they have all of the details for the tickets I have bought from August 00-May 07 and I have 9 loyalty points. I was shocked because you usually lose all of the loyalty points you have when you don't renew dont you? It does not have details of the season ticket I bought in 08/09 which makes me think there is a bit of a fuck up here and the box office haven't cleared all of my past applications and purchases therefore meaning I haven't lost any of my points from the first time I had a season ticket, but they have cleared last seasons points. Surely a fuck up eh?

Aye I had a season ticket up there last year and enjoyed it apart from being further towards the middle bit where most people sit down.

How come when I go to buy a ticket from the online box office it says they're £15? I thought ticket prices started from £20.

Whats it like up there this season? Does it fill up or is it half empty with 10,000 people missing? Gonna buy a ticket for next week but I don't want to go up there if its empty.

I think if we go up and he keeps playing well then Simpson might get a contract since he'll be available on a free. I don't think theres any chance the other two will stay beyond this season though unless Hughton is still in charge.

On the pitch we will probably never see a defender as good as Woodgate in a Newcastle shirt again.

Theres a good chance we will see one up front with Carroll like but does nobody think theres a slight chance we will push R.Taylor to right wing with S.Taylor at right back witho ur new loan signing coming in at centre back? Whether that would see Lovenkrands or Geremi playing on the other wing I don't know.

It'll be great if just one or two of these young lads come in the neet and perform well. We already had the likes of Krul and Ranger come in and show they have something to offer, so another couple would be a huge bonus. We look at our squad as a very thin squad which it is, but theres no reason why one or two of them can't shine and fill one or two gaps in our squad of players capable of doing a job in our first team in this league. Ranger has certainly filled up a position in the first team squad. It would be huge if Kadar, Tozer or Tavernier shone.

I reckon it'll just about sell out like. If both of us are near the top and with it being a fake derby a few days before Christmas I can't see why not. Shame about the kick off time though the bastards.
