You forgot Richardson. I couldn't care at this moment though, its all to much of a fucking mess at our club to worry about them. If we could get this sorted and get promoted at first attempt they could finish in the top 6 for all I care.

This fumed me when I seen this today. If it is true that he offdered him a contract then that obviously means Ashley is giving up hope of selling. Shearer must have said some things he really didn't want to hear back in May for him to resort to this.

If the wage bill is going to be that much of a problem then I can't see many players we can afford to keep in that squad. How much was Martins reported to be on, £65,000? If we're getting rid of one of our better players on that sort of wage then surely that means that we want shot of nearly everyone but our youth players. I would like to see a lot of them leave, but where does this leave us if we're not in the market for players. Coloccini, Smith, Barton, Duff and Geremi must surely be on the priority list to get rod if (although we will be lucky to find any takers for half decent fee). Its likely that Harper, Beye, Enrique, Taylor, Butt, Nolan, and Jonas aren't far of £50,000+ a week as well. Out of that lot I reckon only Harper and Taylor will be spared if bids come in. It seems like we only have Bassong, R.Taylor, Guthrie, Ameobi, Carroll and the kids who are likely to be on manageable wages. I realise i've just stated the obvious but it hits home even more when he's just come out and stated Martins had to go due to his salary, yet he is one of our better players and we have loads of players on £50,000+ a week.

Surely if the worst happens and the fat man can't sell he must decide enoughs enough and invest in at least one striker and a couple of defenders. If we go into this season with this squad minus one, two or all three out of Beye, Bassong and Coloccini we are seriously fucked. We can't compete with such a small squad. We're not even talking about the quality of the squad here, just the size of it.

I went this afternoon as well. Was in there for about 45 minutes. I wanted to put my shirt on my old seat higher up in the Leazes where I used to sit when Sir Bobby was manager but they weren't letting people up there. Had a good look around and it was great to see all of the different shirts and tributes from all over the place. I spent quite a bit of time just standing at pitch level looking at the pitch and dugout and thinking about all of the great times under him. I really didn't want to leave. It was easy writing stuff on my toon shirt for him, but when it came to writing a message in the book it was a lot harder. Felt like I should have kept adding more. I'll post some photos soon.

Should try and get permission to get a permanent SBR flag up in SJP.

Beattie fits into Stoke's team perfect. Stoke also have the likes of Etherington who have the ability to put a good ball into the box. If Beattie was in that team of ours last season he would have really struggled, no doubt about it. Jonas and Duff did not do the business when it comes to making chances at all. I tell you what, although i'm not comparing Carroll to Beattie at all, i bet Carroll would have got a few more goals if he was in that Stoke team than he did for us. Our teams creativity (especially coming from crosses) is a big strikers nightmare.

I keep surprising myself that I keep managing to hate Mike Ashley even more than I already did. We've all said that it would have made complete sense appointing Shearer so the squad was in good shape for the start of the season and the fans are on board. He's fucked up yet again big time. Its clear he's not going to get what he wants for the club. I want to see them lot out of our club as quick as possible, but surely if he's not going to accept an offer less than £100m he could have just appointed Shearer and let him do his business in the transfer market. He didn't even have to fund much of it, he could have just let him sell before he buys. Alternatively he could have funded a promotion push with £10-20m and added it onto the amount he wants for the club then he could have been in a lot better position to get his £100m if we got promoted.

It's a canny dvd actually as it goes more into the season we survived in Division 2 when he first took charge. Aye I've got the old video of it. I noticed the DVD of it appear around the time KK came back. Just thought it might be someone on ebay trying to trick people with a home made DVD rather than it being offically released on DVD. I'd love all of the old season reviews in a box set like. They'd probably actually be a good seller as well at a fair price.

Is that Keegans Kingdom a real official DVD? I have seen it on ebay a load of times but always assumed somebody has converted it from vhs to DVD. Seems a bit weird that they would release this as an official DVD now when you have all of them other old videos which would sell a lot more which haven't been released. On a side note I wish everything would just get fucking released on DVD. Got the Spenders on DVD not long back but they are converted from video rather than offical DVD's because they haven't been released officially. Pisses me off.

If we do end up losing our best player then I would be happy with R.Taylor at right back. I'll be gutted to lose Habib though. If we had of got everything sorted out early on we might have been able to keep hold of some of our good players with a promotion at first attempt push. If we lose Beye, Bassong, Enrique, Jonas and Martins then even with the players we might manage to bring in to replace them ( ) we are still gonna have to build a whole new team and squad if we get promoted. At least if we got straight back up we would have had a few good quality Premiership players to form the basis. We're gonna have one or two maximum the way things are looking.

When did Shearer tell you that you're his captain

I'm not arsed either way what happens with him. I think he would do a decent job in the Championship and he would be a handy player, but if he buggers off to Sunderland then I will be quite amused as well because he is hardly the type of player you would expect the mackems to sign after all of this big money talk.
