You knew what I meant

If we sign a decent left sided AM/winger, Perez is gonna struggle to get into our best team, which is mental when you consider there has apparently been interest from some big clubs for double figure fee's.

Official: Yoan Gouffran signs new contract with Goztepe

He's still utter shit. If he can put in a 7/10 at this level if we can't get rid of them though, he might be of some use here and there. Ideally we will sign a winger and Gouffran won't be in our 18 man match day squad. -

It might be worth keeping him as a squad player if he is only worth peanuts in the transfer market, and he can put a decent shift in at this level. He is useless in the Premiership of course. -
I would agree for an outfield player, but if we were playing against a lot of teams in this league we could have got punished today for his flapping. I'm not sure we can afford to fuck about when playing away from home against physical teams.
-
If we go back up, he is a player who could still be a huge asset in the Premiership for us. He has been Palace's top scorer in the last few seasons (from what I believe anyway), and it seems he has been lumped up top on his own when Palace were desperate since they got promoted. At worst, he could be a good option from the bench in the Premiership when needing a goal (and not thrown up top on his own). Maybe he could even score goals in that league alongside Mitrovic.
-
As much as I don't like to make such comparisons, he's gonna be our Defoe. When he's on the pitch, we are a lot more likely to score. One or two chances, goal.

Darlow Gamez Hanley Clark Dummett Shelvey Colback Aarons Diame? (match fitness?) Perez Mitrovic -
Mitro should rack some assists up this season alongside Gayle. They should be absolutely perfect for each other.
-
Ings would be a great signing but I can't see us going there. We 100% need another striker who can hold the ball up, because without Mitrovic we really struggle with that. The only way I could see Ings playing for us is if he played out wide (and out of position) in a 4-2-3-1 or an unlikely 4-3-3. I was thinking of a wide player who would be good for us and I haven't seen Jason Puncheon mentioned. Probably because its unlikely mind, and I don't know his situation at Palace. Him and Ritchie would be perfect out wide imo.

Article on Hart by Carragher. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3749475/Joe-Hart-12-months-prepare-Pep-Guardiola-don-t-feel-sorry-him.html Does he see something different in Sels to our other keepers? Interesting snippet anyway.

Anichebe?

The interview is no longer free. Can anyone paste it on here please?

If we get Hanley in (or someone else) I'd say we might be okay at CB. That's assuming Jesus, Hayden and Dummett can all cover there as well.

  The last few pages are brilliant.

Discounting how shit he has been for us apart from a handful of games, Colback and Shelvey would comfortably be a very good partnership in that league. Grant Leadbitter has just been promoted with Boro. Shelvey would comfortably get double figures in assists and possibly goals imo. We have to let anyone leave who doesn't want to be here though. A lot of the players in the 09/10 promotion team have constantly repeated how important it was to get the unhappy players out of the dressing room. -------------------------Any of our GK's-------------------- Anita------------Mbema*--------------Lascelles----------Dummett New---------------Shelvey----------------Colback------------New ----------------Armstrong?-----------Mitrovic*--------------- *If they will stay It's a bit of a gamble with Armstrong. We would preferably bring in a goalscorer, but Armstrong could be a big player for us if he can step up a level. I would like some experience in there, especially in the defence, but if Anita and Lascelles keep up their form, and nobody bids for Mbemba, you would want them in the team.

It's so fucking clear what had happened.

Should be interesting that on Saturday actually

The worst thing we could do is keep him, no matter what deal he is on. He takes up a squad place, and if he stays then the board will just see it as one less position that needs strengthened. If Taylor leaves in the summer then he will have to be replaced. He is just not reliable enough.
-
There's absolutely no harm in taking him on loan like. What's the worst that can happen? If he looks shite then we've lost nowt. On the other side of the coin, if he started to look anything like his own self with a fresh start then it is worth it.
-
Townsend is far better than Phillips like. Phillips is decent enough.
-
Maybe they see Townsend as his replacement then and feel they need to sign him now. Not the same type of player of course, but we'll not find anyone like Sissoko anyway.
-
I think the signing of Townsend would be a clear indication that Sissoko is away in the summer
