Diame Hayden Ritchie Sissoko Atsu? Gayle It looks good to me, I just have a feeling Rafa would be more inclined to start Sissoko on the left of that and have him and Ritchie alternating every so often.

I'm interested to know whether Rafa see's Diame as a player he would want in the 2 of his 4-2-3-1. I'm not convinced that Sissoko influences Colback's selection though, unless we were really short of numbers. Especially if we get Atsu and another winger in. Where would Sissoko play if he ended up staying? Ritchie is most effective on the right.

I don't think there's any chance of us getting a centre midfielder in this window now. I share some of the worries in that position, but I think we will probably be fine. Shelvey is frustrating as hell, I just hope he can find some consistency and that should keep Colback out of the team. I would guess if things aren't going well, then that position will be the priority in January, because that seems like the position where we're most vulnerable.

What would Sissoko not playing have to do with Colback starting?

I've noticed Rafa mentions the word experience an awful lot since he has took over. This was probably why he picked Taylor at first, then he realised there was no hope with him. He seems to value experience a hell of a lot.

I have noticed this all summer. Every time we have been linked with a left back, Ryder has stated that we need cover at left back, yet for most other postions he just never uses the word cover. He fucking loves Dummett

Young defence like. Yedlin 23, Lascelles 22, Mbemba 22 (allegedly), Lazaar 24. It would be good if they could form a solid defensive unit which was capable of replicating it in the Premiership. Would love a good settled defence for once.

We need it really, when you consider what our front 4 might be like at times. There is some pace there, but we could do with some genuine pace to add to it. Where does Perez fit in our team if he can find some form soon? I'm talking about our first choice lineup. Rafa favours the 4-2-3-1, but if we spend decent money on another winger then you would expect them to go in on the left of the 3. Would Diame playing deep, and Ayoze in the middle of the 3 work?

I'd love to see an injection of pace, good wing play and crossing. It's hugely lacking. To stop looking lob sided and one paced would be great. I would take Stephen Glass back to be honest. Used to really like him.

Would be good if we get Atsu and Lazaar in this weekend, then we can hopefully concentrate on getting the two big ones in, a winger and striker.

He should be a good player in this league at least, and that is what matters right now. I think some people forget we're not in the Premiership now. Worry about that when we get back there.

Surely bullshit. Janmaat is obviously leaving now, but we have Anita, Gamez, and we could easily get away with playing someone else at right back if desperate. Rafa starting Anita at right back today, and not even putting Janmaat on the bench, surely confirms that he has decided Anita is gonna be one of his right backs now.
