  1. Best of luck to him. Seems like a top guy.
  2. Ramage is crap but he has more to offer than Pattison. Ramage is ok as 5th choice. Pattison is piss from what i've seen.
  3. Why would Yobo leave Everton for us though at the minute?
  4. We have to offer them new contracts without the clauses in, or with a massive inflation in the minimum release fee in the next couple of weeks and see what they say. If they don't sign we should actively look to sell. We can't afford to get fucked off on deadline day.
  5. Aye, and in this case, we don't know what would happen. Gudjohnsen/Owen would only be short term, 1 - cos Gudjohnsen is ageing, he's got two years in him at most, and 2 - Owen'll soon be buggering off. Pointless. Which is why i say, i'd rather Owen left for Gudjohnsen, rather than Martins. How do you work out Gudjohnsen only has two years in him at the most? He's not even 29 until September. He doesn't rely on pace, and his style of game means he can be a top top player for another 5 years probably.
  6. Aye but we don't have a choice over which one we want to keep. We have no control over them staying or going. Lets just hope they are both here come September 1st
  7. I really want both of them to stay, but i think Gudjohnsen and Owen would definitely be best together. I'm not taking anything away from what Oba can be, but Owen is so fucking good at making them runs to perfection, and Gudjohnsen has the ability to pick them out with his eyes closed.
  8. You're right tbh. Martins isn't as good yet, but he will be. If it's Owen that's going - then it's good business. Gudjohnsen for Martins isn't wise imo; cos where Gudjohnsen's only got a couple years left at his best, Martins is yet to achieve it. But we're not going into that again. You shouldn't compare Martins and Gudjohnsen though. Both totally different types of players. Gudjohnsen will be able to play at the top for years yet because he's such a clever player. He's easily got another 5 seasons in him as a top player.
  9. Eidur Gudjohnsen has got an unbelievably better football brain than Martins. He is a superb player.
  10. I wasn't trying to say it as a plus point.
  11. Don't believe it man. More paper shite. Why the hell would we accept that offer for Owen? Its not as if we want to sell him. I am quite confident the only offer we will accept for him is one that activates his clause.
  12. As if we're gonna accept that for Owen
  13. If both deals come off in addition to the already signed Viduka, Barton, and Rozenhal then this will be on one of the best transfer windows in recent memory. Plus there's the possibility of Geremi. Can't wait for the new season. We could be right in the mix if we can keep hold of Owen and Martins (or am I getting carried away?). Plus a left back blueyes.gif

Stop worrying about it. Its all sorted. Move on.
  15. pre or post rozentahl? He said today that Rozenhal will probably start the season on the bench so that probably answers the question
  16. If we can keep him then great. I'd rather keep him than sell him. I think he has a chance of being a top quality striker. If we do lose him though i think we will replace him. Got plenty of time, lets just hope the Martins situation is resolved sooner rather than later. If he keeps us waiting for longer than a couple of weeks though then we should sell him ASAP cos it would be a nightmare getting to August then getting an offer which activates his clause and we would have to make a panic signing at the last minute.
  17. One thing that does have to be said though is although Martins and Owen both score goals, they don't really do much else in terms of team build up and linking up. Its good to have a striker who can go 70 minutes without touching the ball, then scoring with his first chance, but would it be good to have potentially two players who you might not even realize are on the pitch for a lot of the game? I rate both of them like. Don't think its good for the team to have them on the pitch at the same time though.
  18. Martins scored 11 league goals. Acceptable for a first season. If Ameobi had played last season it would have been his 7th season. 11 league goals therefore not good enough.
  19. From the way Owen's played since he's been back from injury I wouldn't get my hope's up about him this season. *lost for words*
