Totally agree those two were the worst players tonight. At times Ramage couldn't even handle Dean Windass FFS. Them idiots who were in the news drove the wrong gingers out of Newcastle.

Personally i don't think we really need to replace Dyer, but if Allardyce thinks he needs another attacking player to come in then i'm fine by it. Smith won't get you many goals but he is a good player. An extra body won't do us any harm. Allardyce has his plans in his own mind for the way he wants our team to set up so if he does sign Smith then he obviously feels he needs him. I'm happy enough either way.

He seems a better all round player now the ball is being mostly played on the floor, his link up play with midfield has been excellent. I wonder if Owen was offered a new contract? tbh, I always thought his link up play was good on the deck, even last season. Don't really understand the stick he gets considering what he gives the team. If he was called Andy Carroll and came from Gateshead we'd probably have built a statue by now. Honestly, bored to death of that s****. That argument ONLY stands for Steven Taylor - who is a good player. Does anyone, anywhere, really think that Peter Ramage is anything more than Unibond League standard? He has quite clearly said there he is concentrating on defenders, and he hasn't sold any player for Smith to come in and replace. Because someone who knows Darren Fletcher has said Smith will sign in the next 2 days, as well as it being all over the local papers in Manchester? Just a guess. Its been all over the papers that we are selling Owen and Martins. If i said i knew Michael Owens cat and he told me he was signing for Liverpool would you take it as certain? I don't believe it at all, and its not blind hope in keeping him. Why would we sell him when he is our only fit left winger and Dyer is on his way as well. He can't replace both of them in the space of a month when he's struggling to find the 3 defenders he wants as well.

I've never heard a bad word about Barton or Lee before. Respect Barton a lot for his efforts, and Rob Lee is a legend as far as i'm concerned. Best midfielder to play for us in my time.

Which side do you think he is most effective on? Obviously he's right footed, but i've been really impressed with him when he's played on the left. He's got a decent left foot on him, and he's got a quality shot on him. Obviously if he plays on the left he is gonna have more shooting opportunitys when he cuts inside. I am a big fan of N'Zogbia so i'm not saying Milner should be our first choice left winger, but i think we could get a lot out of Milner on the left. Opinions?

He is obviously targeting players he think would really improve us, rather than just "better than what we've got". I think thats obvious with him not going for the likes of Luke Young. We'll have to wait and see if we do go in for Baines. If he doesn't even go in for Baines then he's obviously aiming really high, and we're struggling to sign the quality he really wants.

How's that work? Why would Richards be over-hyped just cos he played for Man City? Which sounds like what you're implying... Because we knock our own players down at every opportunity when they make a mistake? We always build our players up then knock them down at the first opportunity. I can't believe the amount of shit Milner gets. He's 21 playing in an awful team with nothing to aim at in the box yet he had a good season last season taking all things into consideration, and we've still got people saying he's shite.

It's not true, that's just your opinion as you overrate our young players and when anyone questions them you throw the "Well lets sell them because they're not the finished article at 21" line like a big tart. True story. I overrate them? I think Taylor is gonna be a genuine quality player and the same for N'Zogbia. Apart from that i think Milner is a very handy player who IF he improves his crossing can be a good player for us. I don't think anything about the others. Is that overrating them three like?

If Richards played for us and Taylor played for Man City, then Taylor would be the natural replacement to John Terry, and Richards would be getting polls made comparing him to Peter Ramage after a bad performance in a UEFA Cup match when Ramage looked decent for a change. True story.

He also played up with Martins a lot of the time and he had more shit games than good ones.
