  1. isnt dyer 28 this season? would not class him as a young prem player especially the way he likes to play and the position he occupies. Sarcasm tbh. Bramble and Dyer are both shit.
  2. Add Bramble and Dyer to the list. They're still at an age where they can become top class and if Bramble cuts out his mistakes, and Dyer reaches his world class potential then us and Portsmouth could have two amazing players on our hands.
  3. Your not allowed to praise Taylor or Milner on here. They're clearly at the age now where they should be top quality players, sell while we can before they are over the hill tbh.

NUFC.COM are nearly always good with their transfer news. They put up speculation, but thats all they put it up as. When they say they understand a transfer is close they are usually pretty sure the deal is almost wrapped up.
  5. Tim Cahill is overrated btw. When he's not scoring goals he doesn't contribute much at all and picks up silly bookings. When he's scoring goals though it covers up for his limited football ability.
  6. 96/97? You can't get it on dvd. The first season review to come out on dvd was 01/02. All the old season reviews on video are deleted now i think. Your best bet would be ebay or the Back Page if you haven't already got the video
  7. Jesus man, we've only missed out on one defender. Our defence isn't cursed, our managers have just been too blind to fix the problem.
  8. Any idea what time a decision is expected?

when did he say that ? He's said on countless occasions since signing Viduka, that defenders are now the priority. Which is absolutely true. I can't see him signing another striker before he brings in someone for the backline, if at all. I haven't heard him saying that. Having brought in a striker and an attacking midfield player, then it is probably right though, as they were by far the most urgent. I would also say that 3 strikers and 2 attacking central midfield players, one of which is injury prone and has completely wasted his ability, isn't enough either. He said he is happy with the strikers now and said don't believe anything about any players we are linked with other than defenders from now on until we have a new defence in place. He said Viduka is in competition with Ameobi. So as long as Owen and Martins stay then those 4 will be our strikers next season. He never said anything about the midfield though. Theres probably still a midfielder or two to come in after we've sorted the defence.
  10. This is only taking into account signing made from June-August. The Gullit ones might be slightly wrong but i think they're right. You could argue for some of the managers that there was no transfer window back then i suppose.

Nobody but Michael Owen knows what he wants to do at the minute. We will certainly not be looking to bring anyone in unless he does leave though.

Does it have to be said again that Allardyce doesn't want anymore strikers?

So because two other club with two different managers buy two different players that are totally s**** we should expect crap players for £6m as well? Surely £6m is a club record for a fullback, it should be a special purchase. I remember seeing sagna in youtube for the Best 11 players in the french league. Let's really hope arsenal doesn't come in and steal this one away too. They are self destructing themselves with henry leaving. Would love to cast an eye on him, but Arsenal being interested and at £6m tells me that he does have a talent, £6m though is a lot of money. Good RB's though are worth their weight in gold, same as LB's but there seems to be one or two English options ATM available for the LB position. Baines, Bridge or Shorey, andy of those 3 for around the £5m is a sensible move, if this lad is in the same league as those three then i can see why were after him, but even £6m is expensive since he wants to leave, plays in France and isn't English (over hyped and over priced EPL player) What is our club record for right back at the moment? If i were to choose between baines, bridge and shorey, i would baines here. But sam thinks otherwise with baines not meeting his height requirements lol. 5m for baines or shorey is definitely a good price tho. I can't believe people believe the tripe Alan Oliver prints.

According to wikipedia ( ) he is a 24 year old French right back who won his first call up to the full French squad last month.
  17. Stephen Glass had a lot of fans when he was here i think. Plenty of people thought he should have been in the team. I was one of them. I remember on one of his last games for us at SJP when his contract was coming to an end, he got a recall to the team but Bobby wasn't in the dugout that day. I forget why he wasn't there but Glass played a blinder and i think he scored as well. Typical that Bobby wasn't there when he put in that performance. I remember Sir Bobby said that he would make sure that Glass would not go into the next season without a club and said there was a one year contract for him if he wanted it, but Glass decided to move on. That goal he scored against Derby blueyes.gif
  18. I used to like Brian Kerr. I used to watch him in the reserves and he was a good touch tackling midfielder. Only ever played on the right wing for the first team though. He got a bad injury though and he moved to Scotland. He's doing decent for himself in the SPL though anyway. Shit league tbh.

He's a very good player but we aren't after any more strikers so its bullshit. Only if Owen or Martins go will we be in for a striker. We're stuck with Ameobi
  20. James Milner - Newcastle's player of the season 06/07 Tin hat on.
  21. He's a very good player. I'm happy with Milner though. We have other priorities. Right wing is just about the least of our worries.
  22. We've got more money than Boro, and although many players are money motivated i am 100% Milner is definitely not one of them. As if any of our players would leave our club for yours you deluded idiot.
  23. I love the way you lot seem to think you are going to sign Milner. You obviously haven't seen this today: Keep dreaming though smogs. I think the mackems could finish above Boro tbh.
