    Queudrue?

Fans getting upset at the possibility of signing a gash player? Whatever next? He is not "gash". He is decent. Who do you expect us to sign as backup left back then? Some peoples expectations on here are unbelievably fucking unrealistic. You sort of people will be the same people booing the team of the pitch on the last home game of the season if we only finish 7th.

1.Its paper specualtion 2.Allardyce said he wants 2 left backs. Do you expect him to sign Bridge and Heinze as our left backs? 3.Its July 6th. Over a month and a half left of the window and we've already got 4 signings in. Potentially another 4 on the way and maybe even 5. I can't believe people are moaning about this.
  3. Is there no older keepers about on a free or who would cost next to nowt to get in as 3rd choice so we can let Krul go on loan? Don't say Pav either
  4. People on here worry far too much tbh. Chill out

  6. I'd like to think the 2 you've mentioned are the back-up's to the 2 CH's we're hoping to sign. I'm aiming for the stars mate. Think big, be big. blueyes.gif We can't get two big star centre halves in this summer. We aren't a big enough attraction for them. We might be able to get one in. I'd be quite happy to get an experienced one in now like Campbell or Hyypia and maybe get a year or two out of them then possibly sign Woodgate when Boro go down (fitness depending) blueyes.gif Seriously though, Allardyce has said himself he wants 2 lefts backs and one more centre back as far as the defence goes. I can see him bringing in a proper right back as well if a good enough one is available. Rozenhal will not have come here to be a 4th choice centre back, and i think it would be a terrible decision to take Taylor out of the team now. I think he'll go into next season full of confidence and really step up a gear alongside some real defenders. I'm not wanting to start one of the Taylor debates though anyway. I would be looking for Campbell or Hyypia to slot in alongside him unless we can get a top defender in at his peak which i doubt.
  7. Rozenhal will be one of our top 3 centre halves next season along with Taylor and a new one.
  8. It was also on the news on century around 7 o clock. Don't know if thats been posted. Doesn't mean anything, but that bloke of the forum isn't the only person saying it.
  9. McDonald was the first to point out Parker was shite so perhaps he isn't as clueless as some might think. As I said yesterday, he's far better going forward than he is at defending and he'll be doing alot more of that here than he ever did at Chelsea, he's a better winger than Milner though so hopefully he'll get played there with Beye coming in at right back. I'm not getting in this daft Parker debate again, but Parker is clearly not shite. He had a poor season last season though. The point is though McDonald comes out with things and he has nothing to back his statements up with half of the time. He seen Parker play week in week out though, so it was fair of him to come to his own opinion about Parker. He is coming up to his own conclusion about Geremi though without even seeing him play at right back really. He was saying tonight that Geremi is an awful defender and he is worse than Solano at right back as well. I want a natural right back in as well but if we end up starting the season with Geremi there, then give him a chance rather than coming to the conclusion that he can't play at right back to save his life already.
  10. To be fair though McDonald and Slaven probably haven't even seen him at right back. McDonald makes things up as he pleases, and i don't think he played right back when he was at the smogmonsters. McDonald thinks Gavin Peacock was a solid centre half before he moved to Chelsea and he also thinks Sasa Curcic was a centre half. Ignore the gobshite. Anyway if you want to see what Chelsea fans think about him have a look here: http://www.cfcnet.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=27760 Most of them say good things about him.
  11. If we did have to push the boat out to sign him, and pay slightly above his value, i think its still worth it when you take into consideration that we are now financially sound, and the best bit of all, the brilliant signings we've already brote in for the prices we've paid. If we had to pay £8m for Bridge it might sound a bit overboard but Rozenhal, Bridge, Geremi, Barton, Viduka in for around £17m. That isn't bad business imo.
  12. I know people say you shouldn't pay big money for full backs really, but i would pay £7m for him definitely. He is good enough for any team in the Premiership. The players we've brought in so far would mostly be good squad players if they had signed for a top four club probably. Bridge is actually good enough to play every week for a top four team and be a quality player. Rate him so highly.
  13. Best of luck to him. Seems like a top guy.
  14. Ramage is crap but he has more to offer than Pattison. Ramage is ok as 5th choice. Pattison is piss from what i've seen.
  15. Why would Yobo leave Everton for us though at the minute?
  16. We have to offer them new contracts without the clauses in, or with a massive inflation in the minimum release fee in the next couple of weeks and see what they say. If they don't sign we should actively look to sell. We can't afford to get fucked off on deadline day.
  17. Aye, and in this case, we don't know what would happen. Gudjohnsen/Owen would only be short term, 1 - cos Gudjohnsen is ageing, he's got two years in him at most, and 2 - Owen'll soon be buggering off. Pointless. Which is why i say, i'd rather Owen left for Gudjohnsen, rather than Martins. How do you work out Gudjohnsen only has two years in him at the most? He's not even 29 until September. He doesn't rely on pace, and his style of game means he can be a top top player for another 5 years probably.
  18. Aye but we don't have a choice over which one we want to keep. We have no control over them staying or going. Lets just hope they are both here come September 1st
  19. I really want both of them to stay, but i think Gudjohnsen and Owen would definitely be best together. I'm not taking anything away from what Oba can be, but Owen is so fucking good at making them runs to perfection, and Gudjohnsen has the ability to pick them out with his eyes closed.
  20. You're right tbh. Martins isn't as good yet, but he will be. If it's Owen that's going - then it's good business. Gudjohnsen for Martins isn't wise imo; cos where Gudjohnsen's only got a couple years left at his best, Martins is yet to achieve it. But we're not going into that again. You shouldn't compare Martins and Gudjohnsen though. Both totally different types of players. Gudjohnsen will be able to play at the top for years yet because he's such a clever player. He's easily got another 5 seasons in him as a top player.
  21. Eidur Gudjohnsen has got an unbelievably better football brain than Martins. He is a superb player.
