Things can change quickly but for this to happen a monumental collapse would be needed, can’t see it. I read one of them say they play shite against the “meathead” teams, full of self importance those fuckers mind. If you look at form for the Marras and the teams just below the 6, its very tight projected over the remaining fixtures. They got some really fortunate breaks when they were winning games, 2 in a row where the opposition scored goals which were wrongly disallowed and would have changed the result and a few others they were lucky to win. Overall they've never looked particularly convincing and to get promotion you really need to win most of your games.

Most of us will probably admit that the first time we saw the Hayden/Longstaff pairing named we were very concerned, but there's no doubt the pair have performed way above what anyone expected during a very difficult run. Can't be anyone with black and white blood who isn't immensely proud of what Longstaff has achieved. They'll still be out when the others are all fit but shouldn't be too concerned, like our central defender strength in depth they'll all be needed over a season. Just a shame we couldn't get ourselves into a decent position by January so they can all be used to cover a busy league and cup schedule.

our fans every team's cup final  loads of games in hand  Posh boy smoothie chops will need to get a few anti-Newcastle references out quick to keep the half wits on board.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-1 Newcastle United - 11/02/19

I don't buy there being some big conspiracy against us at all. We don't get pens because we don't spend much time in our opponent's box. Hopefully this changes now Almiron's here. What about the all the red card decisions, what's the reason we don't get them then? Which ones? We get just as many the other way. Lascelles should've been sent off at least twice this season, especially for that two-footer 155 games in the PL since an opponent was sent off, 18 Newcastle players dismissed in that period. Complete and utter pisstake. People can say what they want about things evening out or going both ways etc, but such hard facts and the number of controversial game changing decisions which have gone against, just this season alone, elevate this to something way beyond coincidence or just bad luck. -
Jack Dross they're calling him
-
If Rafa played chess he'd be world champion.
-
Was surprised when I checked the odds that they are only fourth favourites for the league behind Luton, Pompey and Barnsley, what with their wage bill and "our fans" and "everybody's cup final" and all that ....
-
They may be getting nothing as someone said the fee doesn't cover the outstanding amount they still owe for Khazri. Also sounds like the Bordeaux coach knew next to nothing about the deal - almost as if it was pushed from the Sunderland side to help reduce the outstanding debt ?? Perhaps The Don and Poshboy aren't being totally straight when they're wooing the masses
-
He isn’t. Well that's that then. Now he'll just have to mark Leroy Sane and David Silva out of the game on his debut
-
If he's eligible I think Rafa will involve him. Think he'd prefer to throw him into a cup game rather than a league game.
-
Or tragic/hilarious depending on which angle it's viewed from

Saying Perez is shite is like saying a no deal Brexit wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Simply not true.
-
Playing Accrington, Walsall etc against playing PSG, Lyon, Marseille While true, he won't be anywhere near the first team at Bordeaux. Why not? I'd use the logic that he's nowhere near as good as Adam Armstrong and arguably no better than Ivan Toney and neither of them would.
-
When they eventually receive the full fee it should cover most of Cattermole's salary for another season. See they're all excited about beating a Man City schoolboy XI last night. #ourfans #everybodyscupfinal

"A" fan really but "fans" makes a better story Ayoze divides opinion but few could deny that he contributes a lot and is involved in many of our goals, often in tight games. And to be honest I've yet to hear of anyone who gives a fuck about what he does when he scores apart from some media and on line platforms.
-
We know he's fast but a couple of times yesterday he went on overlapping runs and his pace was just breathtaking. There can hardly be anyone faster than him in the league. Just wish sometimes when his pace opens things up for him he would go direct and have a shot because he normally drives on to the bye line looking for a pull back by which time defenders are covering.
-
He was excellent yesterday like.
-
Fault lines seem to be developing down there as they attempt to bore draw their way to the play-offs. Seems to be a lot of infighting and apparently they were squabbling amongst themselves at Scunthorpe yesterday. The Don has taken to Twatter to try and calm them down
-
Well played young fella. Stepped up when needed and shown great maturity for one so young.
-
Pivotal in an excellent back three today.
-
Typical Ayoze performance today, worked hard, played intelligently and was rewarded with the goal he deserved.
-
He is so good. We just look so much better when he plays.
