  1. Before the Hull City game when they were lobbying I was offered one of their leaflets. I always refuse flyers offered to me in town as they do little more than create a huge litter problem. When I politely declined the leaflet one of the people in the photo in the Chronicle (i'm pretty sure it was he) said "so you're not a Newcastle supporter then". That made me really angry but sums up the bullying attitude they seemed to adopt in the begining. Now they realise that virtually no one is interested in their Cockney mafia out and pie boycott agenda ( a turn out of 50 ffs) they are adopting a more humble approach. I think they will fade away before long.
  2. still "embarrassed" then are we ? Yeah. I think these people are an embarrassment to the citizens and supporters of Newcastle. I see your level of self importance has now reached the height of using the royal "we". Should we be addressing you as Sir or HRH ?
  3. At best pathetic, at worst dangerous. These idiots really need to be stopped before they do further damage to the club and embarrass it's real supporters more than they have already.
  4. Why would Mike Ashley want to speak with these idiots ? By and large the same people who were displaying offensive banners towards him and organising the pie boycott. They can demand whatever they want but it just makes them sound silly. Perhaps a public apology to from them to all NUFC fans who don't agree with their "Cockney Mafia out" agenda and who are embarrassed by it might be a good starting point before Ashley is asked to apologise for anything.
  5. Most of those in the Leazes End that day were the same type of "rent a mob" who were demonstrating against Keegan's walkout. Agree what you say about Luton and Rotherham, Northern League clubs have supporters who are as passionate about their clubs as any Premiership team, just a lot fewer of them.
  6. Best CB I've seen in a Newcastle shirt for a long time.
  7. What are the "loads of promises" he made ? Which promises did he not keep ? Facts please not just the usual conjecture.
  8. Agree. We have a very large fan base but our supporters are no better than any other team and in many cases worse due to the amount of moaning inside the ground. SJP was once a place opposition teams dreaded but nowadays it's quiet and we're more likely to frighten our own players than the opposition. Nowadays people have to have a player they dislike as well as a favourite, and some players are on a hiding from their own fans if they make any mistake. On here a lot of fans put a political agenda before supporting the club and it almost seems they are more fervent about that agenda than the club's results or future. And some of course just don't support Newcastle at all and like to create mischief for the club while masquerading as supporters.
  9. Shola because of his style is extremely difficult to defend against when he gets at defenders in the box, he has very quick feet and gangly legs and any defender going in on him would have to time it perfectly.
  10. Give me proof!!!! on a search of "die" this came up..... by whitley hill east durham in the jimmy hill goading sunderland thread Jimmy Hills still alive mate and besides that, this was an ordinary footy fan like you or me,dont stick up for these cretins it makes you out to be just as bad and I know your not Are the Sunderland fans who throw sharpened coins at pensioners, confronted Shay Given on the pitch and generally run riot at the Stadium of Light every time they have a big game just ordinary fans too ? BTW respect for the lad who died and condolences to his family and friends, I'm sure all true Newcastle fans would say the same. So don't try to use the tragic event to deflect from the problems you have in your stadium and ignore them like your chairman and manager seem to.
  11. I loved how Barton almost ran straight for the ball as soon as the penalty had been given. So full of confidence and so eager to prove himself. Showed signs of captain material tonight IMO, gave instructions to Enrique before the game and Colo when coming out after half time. Completely agree, the best character on the pitch. Did you see him and Colocinni coming out for the second half? Whatever was said obviously didnt pan out but he was giving him loads of instructions. Proper leader. Barton had an excellent game and definitely looked the most "captain like" player in our ranks. He showed great courage in taking the penalty as he had more to lose than gain by doing that. Said a lot about his character. Thought most turned in decent shifts overall but a speacial word for Colo who just looks class and hats off to Shola who put in another hard working display and gave their CB's a bit to think about.
  12. What Keane said in response to the violence. "Nobody likes to see fans on the pitch, trust me, but hopefully the FA will go easy on us because the fans have to enjoy it. If one or two ran on the pitch, well they've had plenty of time to wait for the chance."
  13. It's not like it's a one off either, this has gone on year after year at the SOL and the people who run the club just bury their heads in the sand and ignore it. Mind with the FA being so soft on them who can really blame them.
  14. Regarding the latest pitch invasions, ticketless supporters paying corrupt staff to gain entry and outbreak of violence in the Stadium of Light on Saturday, last night's local ITV news programme gave it about 30 seconds and included some quotes from Roy Keane (predictable blarney) and an interview with a Sunderland fanzine editor who said the invasions were harmless. I'm not so sure Shay Given or anyone else who was being confronted would think the same. Not to mention any player on the receiving end of their regular racist abuse. This happens every time Newcastle or Middlesbrough visit Sunderland and until those connected with Sunderland Football Club stop turning a blind eye to the problem and the FA punish them appropriately it will continue.

  16. This summary of his day out was posted by Junkhead in another thread. It has to be aired here in case anyone missed it. anyway, a short report from my quick trip, just for the sake of it.. I arrived at Newcastle on Friday night, hit the clubs with my friends.. the city was buzzing before the game, such a positive, warm feeling.. had a great night. I forgot how much I love the city and how friendly people are over there.. I enjoyed the next day, despite the defeat.. it was crazier than I thought it'd be.. ..and the guy that told me to take notice of the transition between Newcastle and Sunderland.. f***ing hell, you were spot on, my friend.. Sunderland, what a dump.. I swear it can rival even Bulgaria's biggest shitholes of towns.. and the people.. I got the impression that 90% of the population is charvers..
  17. Did you throw the firework at the police horse? maybe I did.. anyway, a short report from my quick trip, just for the sake of it.. I arrived at Newcastle on Friday night, hit the clubs with my friends.. the city was buzzing before the game, such a positive, warm feeling.. had a great night. I forgot how much I love the city and how friendly people are over there.. Sunderland, what a dump.. I swear it can rival even Bulgaria's biggest shitholes of towns.. and the people.. I got the impression that 90% of the population is charvers.. Is that not a bit of an insult to Bulgaria ? When people say that (tell the truth) about Sunderland in this country they get told off by politically correct people for doing so.
  18. He should face an FA disrepute charge for that remark, once again turning a blind eye to the crowd control problems they have at the Stadium of Light season after season. Mind who know's perhaps he is aware of the illicit payments they take to let ticketless fans overcrowd the stadium and he doesn't want to be rumbled.

    Nile Ranger

I watched him for the first time recently and he does look (play) like Adebayor. He has a lot to learn but he has so much going for him and and all the attributes a top striker needs. I reckon he's gonna be a big star unless something goes badly wrong. The last 17 year old I saw with such natural ability was Gazza, who after watching play for the first time I told anyone who would listen that he would play for England.
  20. Be philosophical. We take beating them for granted - so although we enjoy it we wouldn't get that excited. For them it's the pinnacle of their club's ambition and achievement - we should be flattered really. There again if you can't be philosophical you could just stick the head on the tw@ts !
  21. From nufc.com Like anyone who has ever watched them on TV would be surprised. Ah, the press box - that small piece of Switzerland and bastion of neutrality, which is why you wouldn't see us in there in a month of derby days. We feel duty-bound though to pass on the observations of someone in that area on Saturday, who witnessed the unedifying spectacle of two overjoyed mackem lovers openly embracing each other at the final whistle. The actions of a pair of punt(ers) who had infiltrated the media enclosure under false pretences perhaps? Yes, in a manner of speaking....step forward the BBC's Jeff Brown and ITV counterpart Simon O'Rourke. Impartial my arse.
  22. Proof about the tickets one? 3 earlier posts Quote from: BooBoo on Yesterday at 05:09:35 PM Desreves mentioning that tons of fans got in to the away end yesterday after bunging the turnstile operators. Some charvas behind me slipped him £20 each and got in. There certainly was a hell of a lot more people than seats I noticed, shocking that they did that! It wasnt just one or two either, there was lots of it going on with two people going in on one turnstile click. The kids behind me said they were going to go as high as £60 but the mackem operator accepted £20. Incredible really, that in this day and age where safety is paramount, that this is still allowed to go on.
  23. FACT Northumbria poilce are still wading through evidence of crowd disturbances inside the SoL from the last two Boro matches. FACT Every time we play there there are pitch invasions and serious missile hurling. FACT Turnstile attendents employed by Sunderland AFC are breaking the law and seriously contravening safety regulations by taking illicit bungs from ticketless fans to allow entry. FACT Sunderland AFC turn a blind eye to all of this and feel they have some kind of indemnity from the law. FACT Sunderland's manager pretends such behaviour is acceptable and merely fans being enthusiastic. FACT The FA do not take the Stadium of Light's problems seriously and their fans will continue to behave in this way unless action is taken.
  24. .......... or even more radical get a certain Premier League club to control it's stadium in a modern and legal manner and not continuously turn a blind eye to the behaviour of their thug fans, or allow turnstile attendents to take bungs to allow ticketless supporters in thereby contravening all safety regulations.
