  1. Presumably along with "Cockney Mafia In" and "Ashley, please keep killing our club" Any of you got a firm preference on who you think should replace Ashley to move the club forward ? Point is most fans do NOT think Ashley was killing the club - quite the opposite - and that the so called "NUSC" could do far more damage to Newcastle than the so called "cockney mafia" ever did.
  2. I think fraudulently claiming to represent Newcastle supporters is a concern for most of us and as you say, the name they have chosen for what is nothing more than a small Ashley out pressure group, is very misleading.
  3. The latest ramblings of this non-representative publicity group, even with the addition of a couple of "celebrity" speakers proves that shouting for a pie boycott and a "Cockney mafia out" banner may be just about the extent of their capabilities. I hope the people at the FSF are intelligent enough to realise that only a very small minority of Newcastle supporters agree with the sentiments of NUSC, and the ridiculous statement regarding not using SJP as a venue for their annual meeting, "unless the situation at NUFC changes and we're happy with it" are dangerous. If the small pressure group which is NUSC don't approve it doesn't happen. I would recommend true NUFC supporters oppose these publicity seeking lightweights before they upset the present owner further and we end up wasting more time, having an owner who can't go to the match and therefore has no interest in investing in the future, and putting off any potential new owners who think they have to appease this mob before they can do anything.
  4. In fact it's just Louise all over. Little wonder no fecker buys the Grauniad any more.
  5. So long overdue. Well done Joe lad. http://issue.monkeymag.co.uk/1A48e6304bb442f012.cde/page/5
  6. Go on Joe lad, tell Simon Bird exactly what he is. Long overdue. http://issue.monkeymag.co.uk/1A48e6304bb442f012.cde/page/5
  7. Right now they think they're a better side. Actually they're pretty crap despite the hype, but you'll never convince the deluded tw@ts of that. With our key players back we're the better side. Agree with what you say about "sooner or later" though, considering they haven't beaten us on wearyside since the first world war - it's got to happen sometime.
  8. 8000 people didn't bother going against Blackburn - I think that speaks more loudly than 83% of a few dozen people on a message board, a lot of whom don't go to matches. And 6000 didn't go against Bolton with KK in charge, no pressure groups or boycott and on the back of one of our best results in years. The macums are 10,000 down and Boro the same - are they unhappy with Quinn and Gibson - not really. Don't read too much into number stats mate, football demographics are impacted by many factors right now and to blame any downturn on a single issue is very misleading. In fact so misleading I'm sure that NUSC will be using it as ammo soon.
  9. Around the NE I speak to a lot of supporters who I think will subscribe to the popular press view that Ashley and Wise are the axis of evil and should be hounded out but I'm surprised how many are sympathetic to Ashley and think he would have meant progress. Most of these people are long time fans, getting on (mainly 40+) and attend matches. The degree of hostility seems to be much higher in the press and among the small NUSC mob than it is at street level, notwithstanding the staged for TV protests by charvers (most of whom never enter SJP) in the wake of Keegans walkout. I'd be interested to know who these people are. I dont; think too many of a sub 20,000 [which is what I would class as long term fans] will genuinely feel that Ashley was on course to emulate the most eureopean qualifications bar 4 other clubs, when they have experience of the utter s**** that passed for most of the previous 30 years. In short, thats a load of crap. Look mate just sick to your repeated insane rants about Freddie & Co and let me relate what I hear when I talk to fellow NUFC supporters I know. FFS now you think you know what my mates are saying better than I do !! Please notice that what I said was that most of the people I speak to (aged 40+) said Ashley's way would have meant PROGRESS, not INSTANT success which you seem to think is the only yardstick by which to judge anyone in comparison to Freddie's "glory days". If you still can't believe that take a look at the results of the poll above. At present 83% disagree with NUSC - which is a single agenda pressure group i.e. "Ashley and the "cockney" mafia out". Therefore by implication most of the 83% disagree with that stance. Geddit ? You really have to raise your level of debating above your belief that everyone who disagrees with you is speaking "a load of crap". In fact from what I've read on here the opposite is closer to the truth.

  11. I am pissed off at people thinking that NUSC represents them it, strangely it represents Newcastle United Supporters Club. Are you in the club? I am guessing no here, so it doesn't represent you. As 'the voice of Newcastle United Supporters' of course I feel they represent me. I have no choice in the f***ing matter. They are the go to boys for the national media. Christ, there latest bullshit press release is just as heartening as the rest... "Newcastle United Supporters Club today welcomes the departure of Vice President (Player Recruitment) Tony Jimenez from NUFC with an air of cautious optimism. As one of the key antagonists behind the recent traumatic events at NUFC that have led directly to the clubs current instability, we believe that Mr. Jimenez continued employment at the club had long since become untenable. With the club currently up for sale it seemed increasingly obvious that Mr. Jimenez role at NUFC was effectively redundant and we are pleased, therefore, that he is no longer on the clubs payroll. The committee of NUSC would like to express our cautious optimism at todays announcement and our hope that it can act as a precursor to the departures of other undesirable elements of the board followed by a quick sale of the club to a party who has the clubs best interests at heart. The departure of Mr. Jimenez must not, however, be used as a smokescreen, nor must his departure be a sacrifice that allows the current regime to maintain their hold on Newcastle United Football Club." f*** off you miserable c***s. Total w@nkers. Attention seeking w@nkers at that. Let's hope this fraudulent "supporters club" dies off before they cause more damage and embarrassment to Newcastle fans.
  12. please f*** off. Could you really expect anything else from him ?
  13. It probably will and it's certainly not good. The "cockney mafia out" mob are getting their way. Problem is they won't have a f@cking clue who we need to replace them.
  14. Aye, as a mechanism for supplying instant success it has proved sadly deficient. As a mechanism for supplying almost instant relegation though, it's proving worryingly efficient. that i suppose we'll have to wait and see (and hope not). i still feel we were closer to relegation under allardyce than we are now. For largely the same reason - lack of investment in the squad. (Though I never wanted Allardyce and think he would never have succeeded). how many more times does the nail have to be hit squarely on the head here exactly...how many times do you need telling that giving a s*** manager loads of money still takes you backwards. how many times do you need to be told that its impossible to appoint a winning manager every time, and good managers - if you find one - will piss off to clubs that back them if they are with clubs that don't. But crap managers like all but one of those Shepherd appointed usually piss off to be unemployed. .................. after trousering several million pounds from the NUFC coffers.
  15. But the so called NUSC is nothing like a supporters club, it's a single agenda driven vehicle of the usual self important and attention seeking suspects and in no way represents Newcastle fans. No sane Newcastle supporter would touch it with a barge pole.
  16. That statement as a standalone I tend to rather agree with, but in the case of this thread it almost seems out of place. The NUSC is releasing press statements which are neither reasoned nor helpful. They're more blind prejudice and inflammatory. So true, as I've said doing something is only better than doing nothing if the action you take is beneficial. In this case we would be better off if they hadn't released these statements. Yep fair points. But it appears - and this has been the problem with NUFC fans in general for a while - that people are happy to moan and bitch about things on here, other forums, at work, in the pub etc but would never do anything about it. The people have, good on them. They don't have to have people pulling them down for it. If you've got such a problem with what they are saying - tell them. If they don't change when enough people tell them then by all means have a go at them. I think fans should stick to moaning and bitching to put it bluntly. There's a reason lunatics aren't usually allowed to run the asylum. Putting out statements discouraging sponsors, suggesting customers buy their pies from Greggs etc. shows why it's best fans just stick to being fans. So true. Maybe a supporters club along the lines of that in the 70s and 80s would be a good idea. Nice shiny lapel badges, away trips with Armstrong Galley and piss ups in the Magpie ! Now that would be worth supporting
  17. It's been niggling away at me for a few weeks but how do you know that Keegan didn't turn down every player they suggested and that's why we're short on numbers? I'm not sticking up for Jimenez or otherwise, but no-one really knows the truth do they, apart from KK, Jimenez, Wise and Llambias? Aye, thats the way it is with the "cockney mafia out" mob I'm afraid. As he said "signing one or two decent ones isn't enough" - so lets hound him out and then we'll have NO one bringing in NO players at all. That's progress for you. At least there'll be one less "cockney" around. Yippee !
  18. Not sure how everyone is getting this so wrong, Jimenez doesn't find players, he's just a negotiator/deal maker. Vetere is the person with the knowledge of players, he's the man who identified the likes of Bassong, Jimenez's job would simply be to try to make the deal happen. Wether he's done a good job or not I'm not so sure, we missed out on quite a few players and ended up short in a lot of positions. Wether that was his fault or Wise's or even someone elses who knows, but I certainly wouldn't say there's much evidence that he's done a good job so I'm not sad to see him go. You almost dared to say "Keegan" there.
  19. Considering their attendances are so far below capacity (around 80%) they could do worse than give us a few extra. No doubt however lots of "loyal" macums will be getting dragged in for this one.
  20. Doing a good job, which it certainly seemed he was doing, was never going to be enough round here. To the baying mob being an Ashley appointment and not living in Newcastle was enough to want him hounded out. Sad.
  21. Ashley's 'structured' plan as you put it was designed to raise the sell-on value of the club, nothing more. Clubs with debt are less attractive options, even more so in a credit crunch. Clubs without debt are very attractive options, even more so in a credit crunch. He will find this out very soon despite the on-field mess as he gets himself a healthy profit for his initial investment. That has been his intention all along. I'm not surprised you see it another way though, given your absurd claims in the opening post. More like KK blew a hole in your hopes that Ashley was the real deal, that's what this is all about. You don't want to admit he isn't and never was the real deal. Instead you'd rather denigrate a man who has done far more for this club than the man you laughingly claim as the best ever chairman or owner we've ever had. When the football world is criticising the English game for selling it's soul to any foreign billionaire who fancies buying a club, you and the angry rabble have got what you wanted by forcing out Ashley. You will soon find out who your protests have brought to the club. I hope you are happy with the new owners. Ah, so it my fault and fellow fans' fault. 1st of all I never protested and I never wanted Ashley out much less forced him out. This is all of his own doing. You're just upset because he's not really the man your title claims him to be despite you and everyone else, myself included, hoping he would be. Face up to that reality (I have) and stop kidding yourself, you'll feel much better for it and will start to see things more clearly. I'm not sure what I expected when he arrived really, I just think he should have been given longer than a year to show it and not allowed an emotional walk out by Keegan (his 3rd at Newcastle alone) to bring things to an abrupt and messy end. The knee jerk reactions you seem to prefer are really getting us nowhere.
  22. Another victory for the sub prime mob ? Who next lads, who do you want as his replacement ?
  23. Well written Heza. Good luck with your cause. As a veteran of the old Leazes End and the spine tingling noise we made I'd love to see a real atmosphere back in the ground. Back then there was no tannoy music and the atmosphere started building up long before kick off. Perhaps a return to Ben Shermans, braces and Doc martins might help.
