  1. I'm sure it's been discussed ad nauseum, but worst case and push come to shove if there is an unworkable rift, who goes? Instant obvious reaction is Mitchell and I think everyone is rightfully attached to Eddie, it's unthinkable he would go. However, in the grand scheme of things sporting directors generally outlast managers and are higher in the hierarchy aren't they? Guess it depends who PIF feel is in the wrong. However no-one looks good if someone leaves. If it's Mitchell you basically give all the power to Howe and might as well let him pick the next DoF. I don't think that's good for the long term either. Howe leaving for England would suck too. Hope everyone just finds a workable way through.

    John Ruddy

Thought it was getting a bump because he was retiring for a second.
  3. Please don't. It's hilarious. What's with the half empty stadium?
  4. Complete brain fart and forgot that! Remember it happening and approving at the time too lol
  5. Nice additions and great to keep Becky longer. She could do with some higher level experience around her after losing the assistant in the off season.
  6. While a sale would be good for PSR we are short on homegrowns if we manage to get into Europe. We are still a good 2 to 3 years away from bringing any or the highly rated youth signings through and here long enough to be eligible. Can also see him not wanting to sit on the bench all the time though and that is his future, most likely.

    Jamal Lewis

Was just about to say Sao Paoulo must be the Brazilian club we have been rumoured to be buying lol
  8. He and Miley should be close ish to returning to training after the international window. Miley was October I think, Calum similar.
  9. I think he will start Kelly over Hall but the rest is likely.
  10. Maybe Poch will hold off signing with the USMNT a little longer..
  11. On the upside, our squad seems to react well to the whole being underestimated, written off and us against them (top 6) seige narrative. We will need it the next 4 months.
  12. Surely bringing 2 CB's in means they are dealing on Guehi lol Extra cuntishness They have Riad, Richards and Holding on top of the new two CB's coming in.
  13. I liked the pure optimism and joy of August 2005. Luque, Owen and the surprise return of Nobby last minute. That was beautiful. Until it quickly wasn't lol
  14. Is that how Brighton is getting funded now?
  15. I'd imagine any club that receives a bid from us for one of their players, will look at how high we were prepared to go for Guehi and immediatley slap an initial 20-30m on top. Today is surely an absolute non starter for permanent deals.
  16. He wasn't wrong. He didnt need to delete. It moved very quickly from rumour to dismissed and then "done".
  17. Definitely bullocks then!

  19. We got stuck in PSR jail again.. using our one phone call to Nottingham. Not convinced they are willing to bail us out this time!
  20. Chalobah is essentially right sided Lloyd Kelly. Solid squad addition, slight upgrade on Krafth (arguable). Would still leave a need for an upgrade RCB. Surprised we haven't looked younger for a RCB as we have some experience to protect whomever would come in. Schar is good for at least another season.

    Marc Guehi

I simply refuse to believe we live in a world where there aren't a plethora of alternatives to spending nearly 70m on Guehi. Not a dig on Guehi, just simply unfathomable there aren't at least two dozen alternatives within that price bracket. I don't buy it. By I guess neither will the club.
