Thought so too. Definitely a good report between Rafa and him. Considering his reputation for being standoffish for the majority of players he definitely seems to have a soft spot for Jonjo. He never actually got to manage him at Liverpool did he? But think he signed him before he left. Means absolutely nowt but Wijnaldum also seemed particularly happy. No reason for anyone not to be, back into training until anything else materializes.

He is gone now, move along. Pardew will sign enough decent players this summer to get Palace enough points to survive, then he will ruin them midseason...and repeat cycle.
-
Happy with this but hope we add another winger too to compete with sicknote-but-wonderkid Rolando.
-
Get in Ayoze lad. Big year ahead.

Its Habib Beye mark II. We will get over it. It is just a shame we were given the impression he wanted to stay and pay us back for our faith in him. I fear for him at Palace. Maybe Bolasie is off.

It was long past time to get out of dodge for both parties. Best of luck Colo.
-
Not convinced about berbatov. Don't think anyone wants rid. Just naming players that will likely have suitors and have been linked away.
-
Very disappointed. But expected no loyalty. Shame it was indicated he was in for the long haul after the spurs game. Hope it works out for him but looks a short sighted move at best.

Likewise selling. Gouffran, Riviere, Thauvin, Cisse, Tiote, Shelvey, Wijnaldum, Townsend, Sissoko, Krul, Janmaat, Mbemba, Perez, Dejong, Colo, Saivet. Obertan, Marveaux, Cabella are already out. Then there are the fringe youths like Vuckic and Sameobi.. we can't rid of them all. If we do we half to replace the majority of them. Have absolutely no idea who will be here come September.

Would prefer Caulker over Hanley. If Rafa can get him back to his Cardiff form and back on track we would have a great player on our hands. Still lots of holes to fill. While the press are pushing a LB I wouldn't be too surprised to see us stick to what we have in Haidara, Dummett and Mbabu. I think they would be just fine in the championship. Definitely need a RB though, not convinced by Anita though. Will surely need at least one or two CM's. No way we keep Tiote, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, possibly Saviet and Shelvey too. 4/5 Signings seems very conservative. We will need nearer 8-10 if we end up selling the amount of people that looks likely.

Delighted for him if true. Hope he sticks on the same path and shows the world what he is made of.

At 35 and a 5 goal return in 25 games, safe to say he will not be someone we sign. ..Signing tmrw.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-sunderland-could-field-11544647 Weird. Good for us, shit for lower league teams. Better experience for our players than the reserve league. Would we just have reserve friendlies or would we do both.

Just enough time to alert other clubs to hijack the deal lol.

It's pretty simple to come out and say something if he wants to stay. Statement has come from him yet which makes me certain he is in the least keeping his options open. He can do so much better than palace either way.
-
Absolutely gutted on this one. But at the end of the day if he doesn't want to be here and can't buy into the rafalution (cringed when I typed that) then he should rightly be on his bike.
-
Another complete gutter. One of the very few players I desperately didn't want to lose. 1 down, mbemba to go.
-
Can't believe all this preciousness from the Argies.. fucking retiring at 29 with others likely to follow suit. Pull yourselves together and man up. I forgot doing something for your country is only an opt in opt out situation dependent on your mood. Absolutely disgraceful.
-
Probably still has that "promising" reputation there as he joined us as Monaco's top scorer. For a club like Nancy they will think maybe he just wasn't suited to the league and can do it for them. A potential steal given he won't go for much.

Don't see any indication why he's better than what we have though, it certainly isn't his goal record. I'm not against it, but i imagine if you are to sign a striker it's for someone whose more of a guaranteed goalscorer not another promising, young but raw talent to go with Perez, Mitrovic and Armstrong. He's quite quick though isn't he? Pace is something we definitely lack up front and if we're going for a striker, one who can motor a bit would be a good addition to the squad. Different to what we have for sure. Definitely Pacey but good in the air despite his height.

No idea Ian, last time we were down Watch ESPN website carried most of the matches. This time, it definitely sounds like BeIN and maybe Fox+ will carry a handful (May have made up Fox) so will have to pay for some official radio subscriptions or something to follow I guess? I'm abroad (Turkey), and obviously won't have the pub option any longer as they tend not to show anything outside of the Premiership. However, if you can find someone with SkyGo who isn't using up their four devices (I use my dad's) and then use a VPN, you can watch anywhere in the world. I'll probably see more of our games this year than last seeing as we'll be a popular draw in the Championship. For what it's worth my Aunty and uncle who live in Canada said the last time we went down they saw more of our games than ever before. Currently though no one had the deal for Championship games over there, but with is and Villa both being relegated I can see them selling deals across the world. Fingers crossed. Think there will be a fair few games on, Shaw doesn't have BEIN though. Provided they are on somewhere we should be able to get them online.

Love it. Cheeky hint maybe? Would be genuinely shocked if he came back. He looked like he had a ton of promise but we never got to see it, for reasons we are all aware. That said would think there are better options out there if we are bringing a central mid in.
-
Daily fail saying talks have taken place. Seems weird unless we are selling Perez. Armstrong and Perez aren't instant starters bringing in another similar striker at the same stage of their career seems strange.

20m would suit me. Could absolutely find two players with that money that will have the desire and hunger to perform for us every week not just when they feel like it.
