Well thats him done. Will keep Pardew company outside of the ground. Might be in breach of contract for this depending on the gravity of the breaches. Seeing as we couldn't give him away for free in the last two windows I would fully expect us to tear up his contract now.
-
Astounding he hasn't been sacked for this. In what other profession would the outcome be anything else if a manager headbutted a co-worker. Disgusting and he has got away with it YET AGAIN.

Good grief, was up at 3:30am on holiday to watch this shower. That said the time worked in my favour as I snoozed through periods of the second half! Highlight from me, which sums up one of our major issues, was the complete lack of organization during one of our free kicks. 6/7 of our players huddled around the free kick with no clue of who was taking it or what should happen, nobody in the box, Remy eventually takes a lame shot that comes to nothing. I was almost angry we scored. Seeing our coaching staff celebrating like we have one the league just because they have secured their jobs for a year..sickening. Bunch of charlatans the lot of em.

Newcastle United vs Aston Villa - 23/02/14 @ 1.30pm (Sky Sports 1)

Season is pretty much dead for many people now. I'd like to say I am looking forward to the summer and a new start but even that looks bleak with a complete squad overhaul looking likely and key players/fan favourites leaving. I am fully sensing a summer of Ashley selling up to dominate headlines. The perfect excuse for not signing anyone. I guess we have a few games left to admire Remy in a Newcastle shirt and sparing performances of Ben Arfa from the bench. -
Given the choice obviously Colo has been the better defend for us and Woodgate was a crock. But Woodgate was better imo. Willo and Taylor have at best looked solid but still liabilities. It was a different kind of calm and assurance Woodgate eased into our backline.
-
Never seen a defender classier than Woodgate on his day. Absolutly stunning talent. Agree with Crumpy on this one. It wasn't just his presence, calm, timing and positioning but his uncanny ability to make everyone around him rise up closer to his level. Colo has never really organized and inspired his defence like Woodgate did.

Yeah after a year of him playing poorly and mentally being a wreck he worked things out himself. Likewise Tiote. Maybe I am being overly harsh and maybe our coaching staff did well and it needed to take over a year to get him through it. He was class previous to coming here too lets not forget.
-
Yet another damning indictment of Pardew and our coaching staff's complete inability to man manage. Throw him on the list with Hatem, Cabaye, Tiote, Cisse, Obertan (although he was pretty much lost when he came here) and Gutierrez. Lets not forget all the promising youngsters we have all but now written off.

Honest to god, it would be a complete disaster but also the stuff of dreams! I am sure he would put money in to make a go of it buying players, we would certainly be back to the entertainers. In many ways it would be a match made in heaven. Would be the convergence of two of my biggest pastimes! Can't see it being a long term investment though and we would absolutely be more of a joke than ever!
-
Pretty sure that is a rhetorical question or poll I would take a drubbing and all our key players getting injured if it meant losing Pardew. Sorry to the players for saying that.

Winnet Sports claim Glenn Hoddle linked with DOF role

Unlike with kinnear, we can but hope that's the case. -
Feck me.. for the love of god please get rid of Pardew before he drives all our talented players out because he can't man manage them. Souness level hate doesn't cover it. Our coaching staff is fucking shocking. "Gaffer I have been feeling down.. can you help?" http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/274/872/d95.gif

Ask your mate if he thinks WHU, Charlton and Southampton fired him because their boards were 'too involved' in the team...? The trouble with many NUFC fans is that they see something in Pardew that 3 other decent clubs have not...or rather, maybe they DON'T see something that the 3 other clubs DID...! So he can't inspire the players or work them through tough times. He buckles under pressure, as does his players and doesn't know what to do with them in general? Sounds like a good manager? If the whole team excels I would imagine the players in it excel too, I am being pedantic but that is generally the case in most clubs. That said explain Cisse, Obertan, Santon, and Shola over the first half of the season.

Two words: Carlton Cole I will never stop following. The upside for me is that I now live in Canada, so the advantage is I don't get my nose rubbed in it every week. I don't get to live in the negativity or toxic atmosphere that I would back home and can't start to imagine the hell it would be living with it up close. Would certainly be tougher if we dropped down a couple of leagues. Championship wasn't easy to follow over here.

Good post Yep, although with the caveat that the Laudrup thing doesn't necessarily mean Swansea fans were right. Absolutely, boils my blood when other clubs supporters think Pardew is a "Decent Guy" and a "Solid Manager", "you are doing well up this season, despite all the Ashely, Kinnear stuff". If people are not a Newcastle fan or follower its all judged in a fleeting glance. Also to be noted Pardew is a cockney lovee, and sucks up close to the likes of Mourinho and Ferguson. Shame despite watching and taking in training sessions with them over the years he learned absolutely nothing.

Ultimately, as an outsider, you're 9th. Nobody is going to get sacked for getting you 9th. Not in modern football, with the lowered expectations it means for all but a handful of clubs. I am in no doubt about us finishing lower than 9th. Its all about how many teams can pick up enough points to overtake us. We will at best get a point at some of our remaining away games, if we don't lose them all. Can see us losing at least 3 of our home too. If we did that would be 24 points lost. Relegation is unlikely but we can easily finish 13th/14th imo.

Watched the interview on Sky. Looks like reality MIGHT actually be hitting him tonight. Think he at least realizes he is on his last legs with supporters. Half way to realizing the actual depths then.
-
Surely looks like he has lost the players.. presuming he had them at some point.
-
Worked hard, has no brain, has no one coaching him capable of making him anything but worse.

Winter has been here for 3 and half fucking years. Its been coming since Ashley walked into the club. Wish he was still as ruthless as he was when he sacked Hughton. -
