  1. i really carnt see spurs going down, id rather they just won today, pull clear now, and leave Bolton nearer to us. This really, same goes for the Stoke/Man City match. Its nice to see them down there but realistically its only a matter of time before they click and storm up the table then things might not be looking so clever for us. Pompey, bolton, smoggies, the scum, stoke and west brom are the teams we need to be losing.
  2. I had totally forgotten he could play LB and CB. Would make alot of sense if we can get him in, if we dont slot him in at CM we can ease him in at LB with Enrique. Still not convinced we are actually in for him though, even less convinced we are even close to be getting him.
  3. Yep, paperwork wasnt done in time, so wont play tmrw. Think it says so in the chronicle article today. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2009/01/31/kinnear-hails-versatile-defender-ryan-taylor-72703-22825382/
  4. Money from the Given sale used to pay the next installment to Deportivo? That is if that rumour is true. ah right. seems pretty ridiculous that we cant play the lad till the window passes. really pointless paying £6m for him in the first place. its probably Kinnear not liking the guy. Id like to see him get a proper chance. Could have some much needed goals in him. If Martins aint fit for tomorrow. Xisco could be really useful The rumour was that we have paid so much to Deportivo up front, with the rest coming after he makes 10 appearances (apparently £2.5m). With the club as skint as it is, we might have to sell a player to fund the next installment, which would maybe explain why he hasn't got a look in but wouldn't explain why we would agree to that especially if we have no money to pay for it. Imagine if he had set the world alight and then come 9 appearances, sorry Xisco lad you're being benched. So confusing.. Ye it is. His scoring record in Spain wasnt what you'd call exceptional but he was supposed to be canny. He's more than worth a go for us at the moment, though. He played well against Hull I though yet was dropped the following game! Such unprofessionalism at this club. Yeah, I'd like to believe thats true but maybe its just the fact that Xisco is shite and not suited to the league at all? More than likely its both knowing this club.
  5. Looks like Taylor is tied up now, medical is completed just ironing out the contract. Lets hope N'Zog and his Arsewipe agent dont throw the toys out of the pram at Wigan and fuck everything up. On the outside it looks like we are selling two big players, but I think both deals are for the benefit of the club, both players also wanted out so its best that they go. Will the money be invested back in transfers, I bloody hope so but watch this space. (dont literally)
  6. Why? If we get 10M the last minute I'll be happy. We need the money asap if we are to bid on other players. If they sucumb to letting us have a player or two in exchange with some cash a last minute deal wouldnt be so bad. As it stands however we need the money to push through the deals we want. The other advantage might be seeing the Citeh arseholes twitching and bidding a bit higher if we take the hard line, certainly working at Blackburn.
  7. If this isnt wrapped up by sunday afternoon we should pull the plug.
  8. If anything we were overstocked on the left wing, Taylor should bring a bit of balance, albeit not quite the same league of excitement as N'Zogbia is capable of. would like to see us get another pacy right winger, but we need a LB, CM, Striker and experienced CB before then! I'd rather have Taylor than N'Zog as it stands (don't think he's a better player mind). If we can reinvest the money I'll be happy. Unless we somehow spend it on Alan Smith again.
  9. Harper S.Taylor Bass Colo Enrique Duff Nolan Butt Jonas Caroll Lovenkrands subs: Krul, edgar, Smith, oba, Lua Lua, Ameobi, Is what I'm expecting, I would be happy with that too.
  10. Nice business out of both Shay and N'Zog who cost us a pittance, almost makes up for the fact Owen will leave for nothing.
  11. 14m on Bellamy, 12m on Bridge, looks like 20m at least for Santa Cruz.. but 5m for Given? He will bring more to their team than any of the other three, absolute fucking disgrace we should have point blank told them to get fucked and ignored their calls until they stopped taking the piss. Cant believe we will take less than 10m for him, we really have no need to sell. If we manage to get some players in return I would be happy but even that looks off the cards, bastards.
  12. This. Shay will be applauded no matter how much of a cunt he is being right now.
  13. bit of a shocker, essential we get another CM now. Suprised it hasnt been mentioned officially, although that will probably come out tmrw.
  14. Looks like this one is going to happen, doesnt look like it will be in time for Sunday though. Expect him to be wrapped up tmrw, watching the game on Sunday.
  15. This amongst other posts. There are no guarentees with either pair, but at least Taylor and Nolan have the premier league experience behind them right now we cant afford any time for someone to "settle in". We need to run, limp, crawl or hop to get up the table and out of the relegation zone come the end of the season. Bring the foreign players in over the summer imo, unless we have money to burn and get all four.
  16. Decent filler until Habib returns. Hope we can push this one through today, although its probably already too late for Sunday.
  17. Plenty of time left yet, might not work out but I'm sure we have a take it or leave it offer on the table maybe they will come back to us on Monday with something we can work out.
  18. Cant believe he is only 26. Thought he was knocking 30 at least!
  19. Only one paper has claimed they value him at £18 million, every other source says £12 million. Thats good news for us if true, just need them to accept our offer and entice him here... easy.
  20. if they think he's worth £18m they're actually all insane Not least when they will go out and spend another 80m on two midfielders in the summer and Veloso wont even get on the pitch.
  21. Even if we have bid 10m for Veloso, isnt that 8m short of what lisbon want? Sure he will end up running to city.
  22. I really hope we dont sell him for anything less than 10m. We have absolutely no reason to.
  23. Fully expect Barton to be out in the summer, which will be a shame.
  24. Rings a bell - see Joey Barton. Hope he will be a great signing but past experience tell me that playing for Newcastle usually means you become s***! Thats alright Nolan is apparently shit to begin with, maybe it will work in reverse?
