  1. classy player but do we need another midget?
  2. Geez you guys, fair enough I havent seen him at Rennes, but he was truly shocking at Birmingham and Chelsea were more than happy to offload him. One of the few occasions I might say this, would rather have Carr.

Rozehnal played half the season in DM didnt he? always good to have a bit of versatility!

    Want Diouf?

Throw in the fact: -Carroll looks to be (should be) getting loaned out. -who knows where Owen will be, if he doesnt go this summer, more than likely will in January. -we wont really want Viduka starting every game at his age. -and shola is shola. -Injuries (Sam and his team should get this sorted, but this is Newcastle United) an extra utility player might well be usefull. Depending on all those situations, I wouldnt be suprised to see an extra body in upfront, (loan or permanent) ONCE we have sorted the defence.

    Want Diouf?

Well if he wants to move on from Bolton and step up he wont find it much different at any other club much bigger than bolton. A move might be in the offing but not until the defence is sorted, like I said earlier it wouldnt suprise me to see us get someone like Diouf/Giuly that can cover Duff/Viduka for the start of the season. Will we not be missing Martins for after xmas for the african nations?

I've never seen him play. But I'd definitely question how a defender that makes lots of defensive mistakes could possibly be voted player of the season.. If the rest of the team is a mixture of Ramage and Pattison? Is the french league made up of Ramages and Pattisons then because he made that team of the season aswell. Ive never seen him, dont get the chance to watch any of the french league either. I wasnt saying they do have a team of Ramages or Pattisons either, even Sunderland arent that blessed.

    Want Diouf?

Diouf is the only player worthy of filling the void left by bellamy for player best to wind up opposition fans and players. Can see Sam looking at this type of player though, we will need short term cover for Duff and maybe viduka for the start of the season. Despite his love to hate persona, Diouf is a very good player, wouldnt want to spend anything over 4m on him though
  9. Id be really suprised to see Big Sam go for players this young, and certainly inexperienced. I think we have a good core of youth. Krul, hunty, taylor, Edgar, Milner, N'Zog, Carrol, then troisi and lua lua. I guess you could even count Martins and Barton as players still rapidly learning. We need some solid experience in the side, the only young players he might sign imo are the likes of Leighton Baines who have already played and looked good in the premiership. I guess you never know, but I dont think we need to buy the best youth right at this moment, need to solidify a bit first. Like the big man says, he needs to buy time by getting results, and you cant win matches with 11 james milners!

had a look many times but you have to sign up to view, and i feel so dirty.
  11. Absolutley.. I think the main thing that makes him look like a twat is the fact he only just waxed lyrical about how he wasnt all about the money, like other footballers. Glad he will be playing for us next season though, always been great when I have seen him. Also agree more of a Gerrard than latter Keane. Should be an upgrade on Parker though and will be interesting to see if he can work any better with Emre. Its a big season for the turk, he was a completely different player last season than his first. I was quite excited by what we saw from him in his first year, he was exciting and always looked good at attacking players and dribbling through them. Unfortunatley the only consistency we got out of him was on the injury front. Last season, whilst less consistent on the injuries (still not a bad effort) he was a completely different player, didnt seem half as dangerous going forward and like Parker had a role crisis, so it will be intriguing to see if/where/how big sam employs him. Utilised the right way will be just as exciting as a top form Barton, but we will sorely be missing some height in the centre circle and around.

    Marcelinho for one.

    Kanoute

If thats the case we would be better getting someone in on loan then surely??

    Kanoute

And i'm still against it...I've always thought he was crap in the premierleague and have been watching a few Seville games and I just laught at how crap he is...21 stupid goals even Ameobi would have done that... People were against it then and that was for around £2-3m. Had a belter of a season for Seville though. Always thought he was a bit inconsistent in the premiership. An upgrade but not a hugely greater improvement on Ameobi, albeit he does have the right to claim he can score 20+ goals a season.

    Chopra

We got £500,000 for him didnt we?
  16. Would still love him here, not least for his versatility, would be the missing attacking link in midfield or great upfront.
  17. I agree, he looked suprisingly solid defensively today, i thought that was the weakest area of his game, but he showed alot alround today. It was just an U21 game but still he looked a class above. The height factor shouldnt be an issue, I really hope we press ahead if we have any interest in him.
  18. Didnt they offer West Ham £1m for him.. quality if true.
  19. Should have won that, never mind.
  20. Leading you up the wrong garden path maybe? For a team that is gifted in shooting from range you think we would be a bit more bothered with closing them down for long shots!
  21. Baines looks quality. sod it if he is short
  22. nugent nearly through! Taylor has a habit of popping up in the right place in the box, always positive!
  23. Nice. Will be a good buy for Spurs. Certainly bring them something different to what they have. To be fair for the ludicrous money they got for Carrick, they can feel justified on blowing it on someone that will be alot more use to them.
  24. If Roeder was still in charge we would be begging them for Diarra on loan again.
