Sven has it all, there are few better club managers free and about, his intimate knowledge of the World and especially premiership wont do us any harm. Most people hate us as it is so having sven will only fit in with the current trend. Dont think he has the passion to instill into our players though, cant see us being as up for the derby next year as we would be if Allardyce was in charge. Lets just hope Roeder isnt just being moved upstairs for Shearer to come in.

Think Fred should come out and make the announcement deny he is sacked, walk back inside, then immediatley come back out saying "Just Kidding, Hes gone" before launching into 'Lets all have a disco' and dancing around.

Roeder staying on?

the last two appointments were the most important decision FS has ever made. Why should he be given the chance to f##K it up again. Not Roeders fault he wasnt good enough anyone of us would have taken that job proudly.

I cant understand people sometimes. Martins is 22, he hasnt been at the club or in England for a full year, he has all the attributes to be one of the best strikers in the world, he's certainly different to any striker we have ever had at this club yet people are happy now to offload him for a minimal profit. Then later we will question the clubs ambition. The club will never improve if people cant cope with anything other than instant success. So Allardyce takes over and has a bad half season and people will be on his back, all his players drop dead of the plague and he will get the sack for not being good enough. Its no wonder we are laughed at or pitied or hated, we have become the most impatient, desperate, cynical set of fans in the country (not without reason though). It wont matter who gets brought in, players, coaches, tea lady, someone will be on their backs from day one.

Alex Inglethorpe tbh tbh tbh.. The chances of us appointing a foreign coach are as slim as fat freds waist minus the pies. Theres plenty of great foreign coaches out there that would come a do a decent job, the board simply wont look into it.

Think everyone underates Bents all round abilities, he is very good in the air and holding the ball up, lets not forget he has played the majority of the time at charlton as the target man in a 4-5-1 and still bagged the goals. Would add something we dont have and gel well with what we do imo. That said probably better strikers to be had for that kind of money.

Roeders tenure has been much like Dalglish, bar the fact he hasnt ripped apart our team and replaced it with pap. He has come into the club when it was imploding from the inside, he has the vision and thinking, just not the ability to manage or make the right tactical decisions. Allardyce would rightly be an improvement, but if we are getting rid of Roeder is he the best we can get? Come this time next year and we have the same injury woes and we are playing more long ball football than we are presently we will be in the same situation. Yet again we start from scratch having lost ground on potential signings which will end up with us buying at the end of the window, change in coaches, set up, style of play etc, a squad that will see alot of change yet again because Allardyce doesnt fancy half of it or they dont fancy Allardyce. Better we do it now than four games into the season, at least we are learning on that front. I never thought Roeder should be given the job, and i dont blame him for taking it, he has a true love for the club and like SBR he will be out on his ear when he would be better being moved up or elsewhere in the club. Inconsistency has become a staple at this club, at least we arent straying from tradition.

Being a Newcastle fan certainly gets you on the road to a career in cynicism, but regularly coming on here gives you your diploma and doctorate.

As much as I wanted Chelsea to win they didnt deserve anything from this game, consistently playing at least 5 players behind the ball at ALL times is never going to get you anywhere. Anyone slagging the atmosphere is just sour grapes, the atmosphere was good. Both sides were poor but chelsea at no point looked up for it and Drogba looked like the only guy interested. Will be alot of change at chelsea in the summer players and staff. Fair play to Benitez he has done well again to get Liverpool so far, I hope this time regardless of who they play they get a real good tonking.

Could do with pushing Rodent upstairs and bringing big sam in. Likelyhood of anything happening before the end of the season is nil.

Would certainly take Benayoun, although I think Bouazza of Watford would also be a good alternative for depth. Konchesky is pap, imo of course.

wont make a shred of difference to us bar the fact one team will be finishing higher than us. The lack of fight and interest in the majority of our team would treat the derby like a friendly, Roeder certainly would be able to fire them up, until half time at least. Then if we dont score in the first 10 mins of the second half its back to being uninterested.
