Over the years it has been incredibly rare that I would want any player from the USMNT to play for NUFC. Donovan, Dempsey... Friedel. That is about it. But its has finally happened. The USMNT has massively improved and NUFC have been on the massive decline. Now, f*ck, I'd have Yedlin (especially if we sell Deboosh), Green (not that he'd leave Bayern), even fucking Kyle Beckerman... that last one depresses me.

An all eastern US and Eastern Canada final would be fine by me. I was thinking by co-hosting, Canada would actually qualify (hell it may even help their development for the game). The US is too big as it is for the travel/cost for average fans and adding a massive country like Canada only makes this worse. So why not regionalize it? I would prefer the West Coast or Cascadia because yeah I believe the crowds and the weather are better.

On that note, I vote for a Cascadia or West Coast WC ... By joint hosting with Canada they will at last qualify.

Los Ticos are hugely underrated and IMO better than the USA. I believe they will get something from the next two games.

Wasn't sure to post in here or NWOAT but... Spoke with Gabriel Obertan here in lovely Santa Barbara, California. Said he has no future at NUFC (no shit) and his agent is actively looking for a transfer to another club either in England or France. Says if he ends up staying he will get no time playing. I bet half of you forgot he was still on the books.

Also Mike that is a bit harsh. I thought he was world class in a few games. The Everton win over ManU a few seasons ago comes to mind. He was amazing.

I thought last summer in the Gold Cup he was playing really well and was a shoe in for this year. Okay the Galaxy has been poor this season but WHAT THE FUCK Altidore has been utter garbage. Is Klinnsman seriously considering playing him up front alone with Dempsey just behind him? An idontgiveafuck Donovan is a better choice than this.

I go to Galaxy games and will be in Portland to see the Timbers this summer but it's just not the same. If back in the NE I would defo try to watch the Heed and the Spartans as alternates

They are still playing better than us right now... But with their horrendous fixture list I can't see a way for them to stay up now. A shame, I would have liked them around next year with us beating them for a change.

Porter is not merely a good coach ... He is a great one. What he did with Akron is near miraculous. The timbers are individually not a great team. Both the Sounders and the Galaxy are much better on paper. This is solely down to Porter. I would take him at NUFC and he is the only manager associated with the MLS that I would say that about.

Despite the poor start the Timbers will win this year. My team the horrible galaxy (I feel shame even acknowledging I go to the Home Depot Stadium) will be a distant 3rd or 4th in the conference before playoffs begin.

The hyperbolic feelings of hate on here (of the makems and even Pardew) are ridiculous and make us all look as bad you depict the makems to be. Honestly most of us should rise above this pettiness. If it makes you feel better just remember that even if Sunderland won the treble it still would not change the fact the their "city" (lack of cathedral aside) will still be second rate compared to Newcastle... It has less culture, less affluence and less relevance. And yeah it has more poverty and more charvers also. Now you can hate them for that if you want, but IMO it's a waste of time.
