This really is one of the best forums on the internet.

I would love to have heard the conversation between those two. It may have been Nobby just feeling out future job prospects. Not sure if he is still a coach for Peru.
-
This would be the same Portland whose B team beat us last year pretty easily and won the MLS title. Also Portland is a class city. Taylor would be lucky to sign for them.
-
Last year was a disaster no doubt, but to be fair McClaren had nothing to do with planning our horrible pre-season and that was definitely a problem. He had no plan and was not able to make one.

Kieron Dyer, Carl Cort, Marcelino, ... Siem De Jong. I remember years ago I was scanning the headlines on the Guardian and there was this story: "Dyer expected to be fit for game on Saturday." And I was thinking: that might help us out. And then I realized we sold him to West Ham two seasons ago.
-
Mike: clarification: I was talking about Argentina. The others are also lame
-
I think Karanka is next (not on the list yet I know). The season will start out hard, he'll throw a fit (just like he did a couple of months ago), players will revolt (again), and he'll walk or get sacked.

I can't believe you'd actually dare make this argument. They were being signed to play for us, you complete and utter f***ing joker. Far too many weren't fit for the Premier League. Why do you have to reply like that man? For years this idiot (and others) have robbed a living from NUFC doing an utterly s*** job culminating in another pathetic relegation and people actually want to defend him? It's either wummery or selective ignorance and I've no time for it. Lies. You practically live on this Board man, and take every opportunity to act like a bully and have for over a decade. Don't pretend you have "no time for it" when you have probably tens of thousands of posts to your name on this Board and commonly post insults like this at 2AM. What you lack is manners and everyone knows it... except you apparently.

1. Try to keep Rafa, failing that, don't hire some c*nt like Brewce. 2. Sack Charnley... bring back Mort or someone who knows something 3. Sack Beardsley, I love him, but he is hurting this club and can't do his job. 4. Either hire someone good or scrap the reserves. Maybe KK was onto something there. 5. Either fund (and hire someone good... maybe even move Cathro into managing this) or scrap the academy

Too soon (for this thread).

I would love to keep Ayoze, but realistically he is one of our most salable assets and Spurs will probably come back for him and pay us stupid money. I am thinking we will be lining up with Mitro and Arma up front. With the right manager that should probably be enough to cause havoc.

1998 My 1st league game. I was at that one as well. Atmosphere was poisonous as it was just after the story about Hall and Shepherd calling North East women dogs and all the rest of it. eh? One of the red tops pretended to be arab investors and got the former owners to admit all sorts of unflattering stuff. Just look at his wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddy_Shepherd

Klinnsman in full Pardew mode talking up Guatamala and only hoping the US doesn't concede early. WTF man.
-
Caleb Porter. I'd even let him stay at Timbers and do both... I am that desperate.
-
The performance was not very good, the result was not very good, the other results were not very good... Looks grim.
-
Makems deserve this. They are the better team this game.
-
Rather than pushing out Cathro, what about giving him the reserves and academy and finally f***ing firing Pedro? He needs to go. He has been a disaster for ages. He has been a liability longer than anyone FFS.
-
Redknapp won't save us - relegations with Southampton and QPR. Redknapp was brought in to save Southampton and got them relegated. Also relegated QPR. Agree. Also Pearson would be a disaster as well.
-
I'd take Kets as well. Frankly I don't care if we stay up so praying for Rafa or Moyes is pointless to me. I'd rather have a club legend come in, relegate us but galvanise the fans behind him. This is a joke right? Which part? See Sunderland for a reference, they change manager every year and it gets them 5-10 games so they survive. He stumbles and they sack him, repeat ad infinitum... f*** that. The whole appoint ketsbaia part? No, it's not. Why would you think it was?
-
Ketsy gets my vote. He is realistic option (Rafa? Please. Many of those listed would not touch us) and would certainly command the players respect, in that they would have his hand around their throat if they didn't. Bonus points: we would not have to beg or trick him to get him here. He already knows the fans and the City. He is a championship level manager and that is where we are going to be. A perfect fit.

I dont think we have been that bad TBH. Dummy has read things well
-
Karma is a bitch eh Catts?

I would expect a clear loss. 0-4. An injury to Shelvey would be typical.
