Rapinoe and Morgan could be argued as better players than Wambach, but if you are playing Japan and you are going to do a Stoke on them, I would pick Sinclair over any other player that played for either the US or Canada today. Canada played well on the break, played well in the air and put in some crunching tackled that would have probably destroyed Japan's more technical and patient style. This Geordie manager has done an amazing job with Canada. They have been poor for years and he turned it around in less than 12 months. I have no idea how he did that.

He's an average second choice keeper who's made plenty of errors. Canny fella and loves the club which is fair enough, but these circumstances result in a lot of delusion regarding his ability. I'd say the delusion goes the other way myself. There just are not that many keepers that are better than Harper that we could reasonably sign and none of them would be willing to be 2nd choice.

Carroll has been consistant in his story that he was bullied/coaxed into signing for Liverpool and I can see the pressure coming from everyone for him to do so. This time I can see Carroll being much more forceful about what happens regarding going to WHam or here or somewhere else. He obviously thinks it was a mistake to leave (and everyone else thinks so) and now he is probably trying to not make another mistake. As an aside, I would rather he signed for WHam myself and think he would do well there.
