I think its awfully clear how important he is to this club after watching him play today. Goals, assists, sometimes drifting in and out of the match aside - his leadership and presence is exactly what this club needs. He's vocal, hes a joker, he's a true club captain and I'm proud to have him as our captain. I'd love to see him jump into management/coaching after he hangs up his boots. I think he has a future in it.

Oh Joey B, what a legend.
-
Only this club. What a crazy week.

Warren Barton is absolutely fired up on FSC over here in the states. I love how he continues to drill into the general American viewer that Newcastle are a top club with history that needs the proper management. Its refreshing to hear that over here, most people haven't a clue about us bar the chelseas, man utds, and liverpools. I'm fired up right now listening to Warren Barton - hope we come out roaring - this one is for Wor CH.

As long as we don't get relegated...
-
If we went on to get Jurgen, I'd have a heart attack... I doubt this will happen and assume it will be someone like Pardew. I obviously hope I am wrong with my assumption.

Don't tease us with this, oh lord.
-
that was the best post i've read today.
-
Oh lord, not this again.
-
I'd love Niko in our team. Don't really see it happening. We need another striker so bad.
-
Worst match I've seen us play in quite a while. Carroll is a class above everybody on our squad today. Bring on Chelsea.
-
Anyone read his wikipedia? "Despite continued injuries, he established himself as a regular in the Portsmouth team. He was an invaluable part of the team that won promotion to the Premier League in 2002–2003, which earned him a lucrative move to Real Madrid. Stone cost £50m and was seen as the final piece of the galactico jigsaw. Stone's career in Madrid was short-lived. A bust-up with captain Raul, after keeping him out of the team all season, led to his exit from the club."

stupid by barton, i still love what he's done on the pitch for us. its going to hurt us the next 3 matches - looking forward to getting him back on the pitch. end of story.

Anyone who cheats on Cheryl Tweedy has got to be the biggest fool in the world. :-p
-
His 2nd goal was top drawer. I've said it before and I'll say it again - he is immense when a manager believes in him and gives him time to get a run of games under his belt.
-
I cant wait for his one.
-
Hope Nasri lights City up. Frankly hope any team that plays City just massacres them on the pitch. Would be something if other supporters of other clubs boo'd the f**ker too.
-
Well done by the club to lodge a formal complaint, even though it may not lead to anything. I'm very proud we've done that. I'm still abs shocked that this actually happened to HBA, and I watched the match live on the tele.
-
The more I think of that match, the happier I am that Iniesta burried the winner.
-
We've needed someone like him for years. Absolutely amazed at how well he maintains possession, wins tackles, and plays good/smart passes. And gotta admit, when he stood over de Jong you know he was standing over him fuming over HBA like all of us.
-
I've played the game my entire life - I don't see how anyone who has stepped on a pitch can say that was clean or not as bad as it looked. Like what has been said before, scissor tackling is absolute disgusting way to tackle and It's just as bad as going stud-in. The whole freaking point of a scissor tackle is to take the trailing foot...Hm, looks like thats going for the player not the ball. I can't wait for the return fixture. De Jong would be smart to feign an injury or be left at home. Give them hell.

Tiote looks bashful and nervous haha. That joke was prob fully in Spanish and everyone around is like wtf? Xisco laughing too.
-
I had such high hopes for him...shame really that he never developed into the player I/we all thought he'd turn into.
