He knows he is no longer good enough himself but he tried his best because we have no one left. I know it’s painful to watch but you still need to appreciate his effort. Mad respect from me. He is dying for the club
-
we are in heaven when we won the last game, and we are in hell when we lost the last game look at the player threads. Look at Ramsay, Gordon, Barnes, Nick. I know being football fans you have to have passion to enjoy the game, but that doesn’t mean you can be that fucking impatient to the point that you simply ignore the reality. luckily football clubs ain’t run by fans.
-
Just checked the stats Firmino in his first season, 49 games 11 goals Nick so far, 37 games 9 goals All including sub appearance
-
The Firmino who widely regarded as a flop in his first 12 months?
-
I am probably in the stage of not caring what the performance is like. As long as it’s 3 points it can take the pressure off from Howe and the players. You can see that after the final whistle. Hope we can win the next few one and turn things around.
-
I want him to stay but seriously if he cannot turn this around before the end of the season he will either be sacked or receive no transfer fund this coming summer. No way PIF would double down the gamble after seeing such a trend
-
I would be honest, a double derby loss to Sunderland, in this season where we should be top 6 and they should be relegation fighters, would be historic. Yea we want Eddie to stay and we will try to play down the importance if the above really happened, but I can imagine what the stadium response be like after the final whistle The players have to win this for Howe. They own him this one.
-
I like your idea but what if the caretaker manager/head coach does a better job, say bring us back to Top 6?
-
perfectionist. They always act like that. Excelled at his own area due to spending all of his time on every details, and always want control on any factor that might have impact on his own territory. I have seen lots of these people at work. Howe is that type of person. I genuinely not surprised
-
What I can’t understand is he looked worse and worse since coming back. His best games probably were the first two games coming back. It’s really weird.
-
It’s two-way business. Howe also has to listen to his coach, I mean the newly hired one, not just Tindall
-
Sometimes when a person is in a bad form, or crisis, or whatsoever, he would simply do everything wrong, until it reach the reset point. This all happened to us, may be at school, in a relationship, at work, within a family, etc I would say KK was and should be remembered for his good rather than his bad during the final few months. And probably this would apply to Howe as well, unfortunately. Certainly some people doesn’t deserve this treatment like Pardew. But KK and Howe are in the same category to me. and yes sometimes it really need a change, for every party’s good.
-
I think it’s a consensus that Howe wasn’t doing a good job this season.
-
It’s not his fault that he is the only RB available the one who decided no loans in at Jan should be sacked
-
Strange question. Does the local media heard something?
-
I am never a fan of paying premium for EPL proven players. In fact all the players need to settle, and learn to fit in a new system. They all need time and training sessions. Even existing players need to. Howe didn't make Murphy a solid RW 4 years ago. It took him 2 years. Our early success definitely changed the mindset of our fans. That’s very obvious, and imo that’s unfair to the manager and the players
-
The patience is gone. That’s my feeling after so many years here. In the past people would give more patience towards the manager and the players. I still remember the old saying “never judge the new arrivals until next season”. And look at the Elanga, Ramsay, Woltemade thread.
-
Looking at the response here I started to think it’s better for Nick to go. We don’t deserve technical players, despite roaring for one to change the dynamic - once we got one we either can’t change our tactics for him or our fans simply have no patience to wait. for his own career he better find a new club. Bayern would gladly pay less then what we did and makes him top scorer next season.
-
What a proper response for a injured Newcastle player
-
It really depends if you think Howe has to be, partly or not, responsible for the mess happened in the DOF position, which ultimately leads to the multiple transfer window failure, and Howe take control of the business last summer - fuck it up royally I mean, Ashworth left, Mitchell left. No problem, they are cunts. But did they really get the power to take control of the transfer, or did Howe always get the final say and hence they feel no point to continue? Not a dig at Howe, but whether he is a victim of this mess is debatable. And some of his “rules” are really frustrating. Say absolutely no loans, because they won’t be helpful in the long run. Fine. But if we are fucking short-handed then these loans must be useful. I still in shock that we didn’t bring in a cover for the full back position, especially the left back.

Go on then...Rate the January 2026 Transfer Window

Wilson knows Howe well. -
if we really want him we can still agree a deal with the player joining in the summer
-
improving starting eleven, may be. Improving the squad? No. Another LB cover for Hall would greatly improve the squad.
-
Since so many want him gone in the transfer thread I think a lot of people would be happy for this? Sometimes being a fan is really easy.
