Yea in fact a lot more than that. Diet, lifestyle....Barca players sacrifised a huge lot in the past to maintain their dominance power which should be highly respected, even though I dislike them most.

That's what i mean, hunger, Pip. To press with that intensity, the players have to train ridiculously hard to keep up with the fitness level. Obviously the players didn't do so this season since they have lost it. The Dream 3 has finished. New blood won't help much as well. The only way out is to hire someone like Pep that can re-lit the players' hunger. IF there is someone like Pep.....

The whole Barca team has lost the "hunger". End of an era for me. You can see Pique is thinking of bedding with Shakira rather than scoring a goal back.

I just can't see him succeed as a DM in EPL due to that weakness. But then he is actually a good cover for Cabaye, and a very effective ball holder when partnering Perch. I don't want him to be sold as he has a lot more to offer.

Seriously, he can't play as a DM, he is terrible at LB, he offers nothing and can't beat anyone at left wing..... Is there a position, or a way, to "utilize" his ability? He is my most likeable player during his first few seasons but now it's time that he should quit, probably together with Colo.

Re Cabaye, I actually think his position is alright during the 1st half vs WBA. In fact Cabaye always tends to play further up when partnering Perch. The "sitting too deep" problem usually occurs when Cabaye's partnering Tiote. I blame Pardew for not having the guts to drop Tiote permanently as it is painfully obvious that Tiote is playing ridiculously bad, and Pardew has no faith on him as well. Cabaye as a result has to play deeper to protect the defence line. Perch + Cabaye + Sissoko is what we should go for now, and we should find a new DM during the summer. Agree that Sissoko should player deeper too. You have to give him space to run in the middle.

His defence is a huge letdown. I want Anita to start as well but I know defensively he isn't up for it.

Because of his positioning. f***ing obvious, this. This isn't down to the manager? How come his positioning was good last season for big parts but not this season when he has been moved forward a bit? I for one believe Tiote's positioning is down to Pardew completely. No. Take Adam Johnson's goal as the example, and look at where he stands, and what's his decision. I am a defensive midfielder in real life, and I can tell you a defensive midfielder can never allow anyone to take shot that easy in that position, never. It is not down to Pardew or coaching. It is just shit judgement and poor football intelligence.
