Aye. The only people who say they don't care about money are the people who have more than they need. Barton getting his 50th chance is my main gripe of course, though I am looking forward to seeing how he'll embarrass himself and QPR next season. He's a fucking knob head mind, saying shit like that. I'm sure he made some kind of political quote regarding money a while back and says shit like this. As you said the only people who can be blaise about money like that is someone who can afford it. The fuck he spend reportedly 70K a week on anyway. Jeez I'd be living a life of luxury on 70K a year.

I know they haven't suffered the thins that a lot of other clubs have but, they have been loyal and I'm sure they'll by far have the biggest following in the lower divisions even if its not quite on par with their current following. There is no question, regardless of the fans that Rangers the football club need severe punishment. I'd be very surprised if criminal preceedings are not brought forward at some point. I bet there are some very twitchy businessmen connected to Rangers at the moment after the news about Stathclyde police. Just hope somewhere in their past that there is evidence against twitchy face arry somehwere (one can hope)

I agree especially at such a young age. Hopefully the new initiative that the FA have voted on will help grass routes. But still I think overpricing if Premier League/English League talent is a factor in a lack of oppourtunities for home grown players.
-
I would imagine alot of their support will stay loyal, so will probably by far have the biggest attendances in Div 3 (if they end up there) however, playing staff could be an issue. I can't see how the can uphold their insistence on players stay against their will, so they'll be looking at rebuilding a big chunk of their squad. However, they should be able to pick up the cream of the crop from the lower divisons.

I think people are just frustrated, as he has not come out either way to say something. I think he does want to stay, but is waiting to see if a "super" club will be interested. I think his agents are more interested in him signing for Galatasaray than he is I think it would take an amazing offer for him to leave us, unless he really hates playing the wide role that could well be a factor in all of this. I will be gutted if he left, but not sure he can be as effective wider as he was playing centrally.

The new owners own Ibrox so yes. Will the official vote still take place, seems like no point, I suppose for it to be "legal" the SFA will have to have the official voting process. Still can't believe that the owners are trying to force players to TUPE. Surely their lawyers know they haven't a leg to stand on?

Part of me can't wait for my kid to be old enough to play football but another part of me is dreading it for peoples attitudes. I'm not sure if I can handle the aggressive parents, or coaches who want to win at any cost. Luckily the club I play for have a good kids set up, the training looks fun and engaging, not see what the parents are like when a game takes place mind. I took my little one up the park a few weeks ago, as soon as I tried to get him to do something like just pass it back and forth with me and pass in the correct way he hated it, yet give him the ball and let him run around kicking the ball and he was having a whale of a time. Then I stopped and thought am I here for Alex or here for myself, I wanted to teach him, he wanted fun. He is 4 FFS so i just let him kick it around, he laughed his little ass off.

This maybe a Giggs, but we need more and more English players playing in the Premiership week in week out. I know the FA have rules of certain amount of home grown talent but clubs are using the homegrown as a loopole. Fabregas for example is considered homegrown. So much pressure on clubs to produce results that buying a £2 million pound bloke from Poland is seen as less riskier than picking Joe Bloggs from your youth team. The English premium on home transfers is scandoulous. Why the fuck is someone like Rodriguez (who I haven't seen by the way) cost £7 million when we bought a player who scored goals in Ligue 1 and the German League costs a little more. Connor Wickham and this is not just a dig at the Mackems, why the hell is he costing nearly £10 million. Andy Carroll is a prime example, had a great end to our Championship season, a great start in the Premiership and becomes one of the most expensive players in the world. I am not in the camp that Carroll is shite, he clearly is not but be he is not worth anywhere near £35 million. Addressing these excessive fees is a big factor in improving England. Jordan Rhodes has bags of potential but he's going to cost between £6-10 million, making good sides look elsewhere, he misses out on better coaching and playing with better players which could take him to the next level. Players used to move up through the divisions, can't see why that can't happen now. Someone like Gary Monk and Ashley Williams are decent examples. They played in the 3rd tier of English football, decent players at that level, teams would not take a risk on them, but both, whilst not being amazing have look solid in the Premiership, so these plays at lower levels can make it, but their chances are limited. Holt is another example but he only got his chance in the Prem because his club moved up through the divisions.

Those DDs will be in 3D in the cinema soon. Worth a watch just for that. It be like those waps are in my face. But I really want to sign DDebuchy

I checked in here just for a little bit of excitement, I was dissapointed when there was no more news on Debuchy. Then I seen RodneyCisse' avatar

It is the fans I feel sorry for and the players I suppose. The fan certainley have done little wrong apart from support their team througth thick or thin. I am sure some opposing fans would say we're a bunch of kuntz if we were in a similar situation. The players are somewhat innocent too. Ok some of them have taken a high wage in the past but would any of us turn down lucrative contracts if offered. The players however, are likely to play decent level football again, whereas the fans will have to support a 4th tier team, or the club could go completely into oblivion. Some people need to do time over this mess.
-
It was worth watching purely so you could hear the commentator shoe horn in a line of "Greece have now wiped their debt" bet he was like a little kid at Christmas when Samaras scored.
-
The fact that the agent has spoken and there is speculation on us raising the offer makes me think this will not happen. Maybe the club does shit like this as a smoke screen for their real targets.
-
Call me fucking wierd, but when I watch football I am not thinking to myself why have inset team only got insert number black player(s)? It's fucking irrelevant. Some of the replies on that thread are facepalmtastic.
-
As someone mentioned a lot earlier in the thread, Rangers being 'hauled' out of the SPL may hurt Scottish football in the short term but in the long term it could benefit. Celtic all of a sudden become less of a pull for players, they may have to rely on their homegrown talent a bit more and Scottish players will get a bit more exposure at a higher level. I think players will see Celtic as less of an option next season without the big derby rather than with.
-
I hope to fuck that in future the SPL put it in their rules that any Newco must at very least start in their lowest professional division. This is a shit position to put the chairman/boards of member clubs. Financially they hurt themselves by voting No. Yet vote yes and piss off your fanbase.

£5 free bet on Ronaldo to score 1st - Portgual 2-1 - 25/1 £5 on Portugal, Germany, France , England to qualify - 6.34/1 I thought going France may push it up a little more?

Don't think I'd be too thrilled if that was our new manager tbh. I suppose it could be a different way of putting "if he's not fully committed then we don't want him". I'd be very surprised if Sig ends up at Swansea. The buzz around town is pretty good over Laudrup. Who would have though years ago a legend like Laudrup (regardless of how good a manager he is) would even consider being involved with someone like Swansea. To be fair the feeling towards Laudrup at the moment, he could say he wants to shag all the fans wives and they would hero worship him.

A mate who works for a coach company in South Wales just sent me pics of the Newcastle team bus in their yard. When I asked him why, he said it broke down in Newport, it is being used by Belgians on a corporate hospitality trip Does this make me ITK The bastard won't nick anything for me.

What a picture, the man is class!

Yeah it looks pretty weak after Cisse and Ba. I suppose we should be a bit more confident, we are in Europe we finished 5th, it's not as if de Jong and Ba are in the elite list of strikers. Rotation will be needed next season. Given the speculation and clauses around Demba Ba I'd be surprised if we kept him for next season. It could also be a situation where Pardew sees de Jong as more suited to the wide role so is prepared to lose Ba. Then again, who knows Pardew may go back to the 4-42 next season?
-
Surely a bid for him means that we are likely to see Ba off then? Haven't see much of de Jong but isn't he more suited to the wider attacking role that Ba finished the season playing?
-
Tough start, one positive though. If we come through the 1st 4 fixtures with a good points tally we won't have any of that daft "they haven't been tested yet" kind of shit. Even though not an easy start it could have been much worse. I would take WLWD out of the 1st 4. And who knows how new Chelsea will gel together but I am assuming they'll be more challenging for the title next season than challenging for top 4.

Pards! What a legend. He is nearing a cult hero status. Who would have thought that when he first joined. Get in there Pards! Thank God he never managed John Terry, every player would be petrified.
