    Fabian Schär

Has to be said he was a massive upgrade on Lascelles. Beast and also very good on the ball.
  2. Fuck the haters. Has been and will continue to be a very important player for us and score very important goals like today, Brighton away in the Championship, Stoke away on new years day etc.
  3. I'd Assume he'd been given a budget etc and all of his requests if he did mind. Rafa and the players being a likeable bunch compared to Pardew and his mercenaries is what's keeping a lot of people from jacking in or boycotting.
  4. To be fair though, Ashley and Mort went to pubs and drank and mixed with fans in his first year in charge and a lot of people lapped it up.
  5. Was probably the real reason for him going on the show.
  6. Strange one this. usually when we get players to sign long term contracts they leave not long after for a handsome fee. He's usually the glue that holds us together, but with Lejeune back soon and likely to be paired with the better looking than Jamaal Fernandez he could be used as the finance for any January deals that Rafa wants to do. The old sell to buy malarkey.
  7. I don't think the crowd will swell behind Mourinho tbh. Most man utd fans on my timeline hate him and always have, said he was "not a United" manager from the start.
  8. Is that Sorensen any good? Cal Roberts has been around the u23s for ages as well, is he any good? otherwise we have no real striking options other than what we've done so far, except for Muto in for Joselu.
  9. Peterborough September 1992 is probably the best NUFC away day ever with the Sheff Utd Semi Final at OT a close second.
  10. Perhaps. I've been going to the match since i was 8 years old and am 50 now. I've seen much worse than this, BUT always with hope that it could get better. The hope is draining now mind, but going to watch NUFC is and always has been such a massive part of my life i just can't bring myself to stop going. Protests are all very well, BUT until someone makes the fat bastard an offer he can't refuse he's going nowhere.
  11. Not a chance in hell i'll stop going. Fuck Ashley, i was here long before him and i'll still be there long after he's gone as well.
  12. Good shout, that was only a couple of years ago too. He was worse than Joselu like.
  13. guivarch and andreas say hi. Frank Pingel and Rob McDonald were worse and so was Ray Clarke. Before my time old man! I'm only 50 FFS, middle aged i'll give you, but certainly not old!!!
  14. guivarch and andreas say hi. Frank Pingel and Rob McDonald were worse and so was Ray Clarke. Riviere too Aye, him as well.
  15. guivarch and andreas say hi. Frank Pingel and Rob McDonald were worse and so was Ray Clarke. Before my time old man! Take it from me they were far far worse.
  16. guivarch and andreas say hi. Better than this lump of shit. No they weren't, you're wearing rose tinted specs if you think they were anarl.
  17. guivarch and andreas say hi. Frank Pingel and Rob McDonald were worse and so was Ray Clarke.
  18. He's a lovely bloke but that chance when he was through on goal just shows he is totally devoid of confidence as a striker. He just shit himself and didn't know what to do.
  19. I live in Norfolk now so no. Have no desire to step into Newcastle on a matchday and be round our "fans". I'd be too pissed off and not how I want to spend a weekend. Don't see or speak to some good mates over it all Are you from Norfolk originally?
  20. Aye you just crack on going to games still I will do thank you very much. When you've done something for 42 years it's not that easy to just stop doing it. Some people seem to be able to, fair enough, but my dislike of the owner and his methods isn't going to stop me going to support the team i love.
  21. It's frustration at the fact that Ritchie gets hooked after an hour nearly every week when there are far more obvious candidates. I just didn't clap, didn't boo, but really understand why a lot did.
  22. Other managers substitutions have been booed in the passed so why shouldn't Rafa's? I can remember people going berzerk (me included) early in Keegans reign when he took Steve Watson off as he seemed to be an easy target as a young kid. Atsu was absolutely shite today and should have gone off for Murphy at Half time (in fact Murphy should have started instead of Atsu). Rafa's hands are tied by a lop sided squad devoid of decent forwards and top heavy with centre halves, but does he really have no input into what we buy? Why buy Schar and then not even have him bench most weeks? Why buy Muto and not play him, it's easier to start games than to come on as sub when we're chasing a game and try and make an impact. Today was a day for playing on the floor with pace yet he still picked Joselu over Muto. I love the bloke and don't think we could do any better ever as manager, but he isn't above criticism and some of his decisions are bizarre and do seem political when we really can't afford to be doing things just to prove a point.
  23. The problem the midfield have is the lack of movement and presence up front, they've got nothing to hit and the ball just keeps coming back. We had 2 glorious chances in the first half. Joselu clean through on goal and shows a total lack of confidence and self belief, dithers trying to decide whether to use his left or his right until he gets tackled having using neither, should have scored. The second was a free header under no pressure whatsoever by Diame from 10 yards out, didn't even hit the target. penalty was unfortunate, but correct, but i thought Ayoze was definitley fouled when he turned Maguire and that should have been a pen for us. Kenedy should have just conceded the throw instead of ridiculously slicing it out for the corner that led to their 2nd. Lascelles was fouled for that goal as well. It's alarming how thin on the ground we are, without even any U23 forwards to draw on.
  24. Yet it's only a few months since we looked much better than them on their own ground and they've lost their best player since. What's gone wrong ? Leicester were on their holidays too. Little chance of catching Burnley or finishing lower than 9th. Yeah possibly but there were still a few to play and we were excellent. I was mainly replying to Ian saying they are much better than us. I don't think they are "much" better. Cue 0-3 defeat I thought they were one of the best teams we played at home last season. Not sure how much difference losing Mahrez has really had on them either as Maddison looks class.
  25. Should have scored when he was through after nicking the ball off the centre half in the first half. Tame back pass to the keeper in the end.
