FFS, Sturridge is the most over rated one footed striker we have, shouldn't be anywhere near the England squad. Yip, put him on his right foot and he's worse than shit.

Watford appeared to have done something like this the other week as well. -

Aye but a 5? I thought Atsu was poor mind, hardly involved and missed a sitter. Ayoze was anonymous. -

Sat back and invited pressure and then when we got forward and pushed their incredibly high line back we passed backwards so they could push up and defend the halfwayline again. Lack of pace up front meant they could do that. -

Handball Handball in the build up and offside as a player right in front of Darlow appeared to flick his foot at the ball/touch it. The ref today was absolutely shocking. The corner they got in the first half when an offside player was allowed to play on and then kick it out of play for a goal kick with it hitting no one was probably the worst. -
My daughters friend and her mam saw him in the co-op in Dunston on Wednesday night, had a picture took with him with is now on facebook. Said he was doing great and gave the 3 kids a fiver each for Halloween.

Newcastle United vs Cardiff City - 05/11/16 @ 3:00pm - No TV

I remember it going off on Strawberry place before the game with a well known Cardiff loon and his mates (was on the bbc documentary and wrote a book I think) taking refuge from our lot in the club shop. They brought an absolutely p*ss poor following of approx. 500 fans max the last time they were here in the PL on a Saturday afternoon though, the 3-0 Pardew protest game. The then landlady of The Bridge told us to buy a few at once as she was stopping serving because of the Cardiff fans behaviour (abuse to staff, throwing beer around and generally trying to goad people) Welsh coppers with them aswell who didn't seem to give a shit I walked over the High Level Bridge from Gateshead into town and they were surrounded by high viz jackets outside The Bridge. Was bother all over the shop that night but when we played them in the PL last time they brought next to no fans up. Think they've been allocated 3200 but returned a block of 500 in the old singing corner, dunno how many of the remainder they've sold though. -
Why? Plenty other players have played for England over the years while playing in the 2nd tier. Trevor Brooking and Steve Bull are 2 that come instantly to mind.

I think the night time kick off for boxing day is shit. There's only a limited skeleton service on public transport during the day, running off about 1800.

Mick Martin going into church this morning.

What's he done now? Nothing, Neesy's a dick. Actually no, you're a dick. But yeah, Mitrovic gave the ball away 3 times in added time. I think that's what Neesy's referring to. Exactly, thought we were worse after he came on. Lost the ball a few times. We were worse after he came on, less pace up front and he doesn't win stuff in the air or hold it up which is what he's supposed to be there for.

Rotherham United vs Newcastle United - 01/10/16 at 3pm (not on UK TV)
ujpest doza replied to 54's topic in Football
I was thinking similar when compared to now. Even the Rotherham support, all there to a man at the end and cheering that consolation like a comeback goal. All standing and packed in led to infectious crowd behaviour like, you just didn't want to miss a thing. Weird hearing our fans singing You'll Never Walk Alone. Everybody's fans did tbh.
