Strange performance I thought. Some good running and dribbling to put them on the back foot, a good cross for Cisse's header over the bar and again for his goal. But 2 passages of play stood out for me on a more negative note. 1st one was when HBA did very well to win the ball meaning Cisse could break from inside our own half on the right hand side touchline but when he did so HBA stood still and didn't bust a gut to break with him. 2nd was when we had the ball for quite a long period and no one would pass to HBA even though at times in the move he was free, in space and made himself available. Players in question were Anita, Sissoko and Tiote iirc. After the move broke down HBA went towards the touchline with his arms out wide complaining to Carver about it as it was visibly obvious they had appeared to deliberately not pass to him which was very strange.

Would he have scored those 2 standout goals against decent opposition though? He's a flat track bully.

I'm suggesting his reluctance to do what they were telling him and shrugging his shoulders and putting his arms out wide is.

Wonder if one of the senior players is Debuchy - his form definitely improved once he had Sissoko in front of him. Sissoko and Cisse were hammering HBA at the Cardiff FA Cup game, giving him pelters for not closing down the keeper amongst other things.

Pretty sure I saw Yanga Mbwia in Eldon Square this afternoon with a big floppy wooly hat on.

Listening to Pardews presser it sounds like HBA is only on the bench.

doubt it, will be literally a ban from ground , be able to do owt he wants, before- with phones,but bear in mind, be very hard for him to judge something he cant watch. He'll watch the game on an illegal stream in a hotel room at the sandman and communicate with the players pre match and at half time using facetime.

before Pardew came in he only played about 2.5 games man.

Unfortunately they have a few games to come against those teams around them which will see them safe.
