Could have really done with another centre back and someone to play on the right. Geremi isn't up to it.
-
Why did you bother keeping it quiet? Its hardly like this 'bid' stands a chance.
-
Have the Trust said anything about this idea from Roberts?
-
No. Its a ridiculous idea.
-
That Roberts idiot is slavering through an interview on SoccerExtra now. How can they sit there and and not laugh at him.
-
True. Suppose booking over the internet is easy enough though. Yesterday I phoned up at lunchtime and was on hold for 15 mins listening to the same shit sunday lunch adverts at St James over and over. I just had to hang up at go to the cash turnstyle instead.
-
On Saturday I decided to go late because I didn't have a ticket. Just went straight up to cash turnstyle in the Gallowgate and there was nobody there. Because of that I decided to pay cash last night but the line was 30 mins long. Good job I went up early as I just made it in for kick off. There weren't THAT many more home fans last night, so no idea what made it so different.

England v Germany at Wembley 2 years ago.

Roberts applied for the Berwick Rangers job in November. He didn't get it. The man is a tube!

Its on page 2492 on Blackberry. ha

I think Aidy Boothroyd's got a lot of potential but think this job is too big for him at the minute. One thing Jones would have is experience, and he's better than JFK, but Jesus - is this what we've come to? Not sure if you've noticed, but we got relegated. The sooner some people realise this the better. Anything to get us promoted for me. Hardly unearthed McCormack. He'd scored in the Champions League for Rangers. Was a good player at Doncaster and Motherwell too. Granted, his best form has been at Cardiff though. Really, saved Coventry from relegation in his first job, granted he couldnt help Coventry the second year, but saving Southampton from relegation and taking them into Europe doesnt exactly count as a f*** up in my eyes. Took them to the FA cup final aswell didnt he? He is thick skinned and used to over demanding fans, has worked with big (named) players and took Celtic into the last 16 of the Champions League twice.. I dont think he would be phased by the job here and would certainly be as good a bet as any name mentioned so far. Who do you want in charge? I wanted Strachan after Bobby left because of the job he'd done at Southampton. Good manager in my opinion. Id be pleased if we got him now.
-
Campbell here would be great for defenders like Kader and Taylor who can only learn from him. We've lacked quality experienced centre backs for years. I can remember even Bramble looked far better alongside Woodgate.
-
He could have easily quit and took a job elsewhere.
-
I'm sure Moat, being a fan will search for investment when he actually is in charge.

Im ordering my ticket in the morning. However, it will be pretty pointless considering we have next to no chance of scoring now that Duff is on his way. Best we can hope for is a pen and Barton on the pitch.
-
Thinking exactly the same. It makes me sick to the stomach what they have put the club and its fans through this summer, and David Craig sits there in his Durham office arselicking them.
-
He wants to join them as well so I suppose he's off. No replacement I expect.

The puns below each pic are shocking.

Get away man. There's nowt in that article whatsoever. Hopefully, but there's clearly a lot of money gone on him being our next manager, considering he's now odds on (see other thread). When he was our manager I didn't hate Kinnear, it's the s**** he's come out with since that's moved me to that. I know he had a go at us fans, but does anyone have the actual quotes. I want to read them again to refresh my hatred for him. Actually, hatred is quite strong for Kinnear when the world has Mike Ashley in it.
-
It seems like the rumours are coming from him again. I just hope, really hope that he's spouting his usual shite.
-
By the way, one of our rivals were delighted with signing Paul Hartley. They would be creaming their pants if they signed Duff or Smith. We have to realise what league were in.
-
We can't afford to sell anyone (well maybe Geremi) until we start signing plays. Keep.
-
Damien Duff. Have you even watched him for the last few years in our strip? To be fair we didn't play in the Championship for the last few years.. Is he going to try harder against worse opposition or something? No he's going to be better against worse opposition, because, well... they're worse Its not difficult like Dave Not if he puts in the same pitiful effort he won't. I can't get over how split this is. It has nothing to do with effort when it comes to Duff. If anything he is one of the players who puts in the most effort. Thats not saying he's good, but in my opinion his effort isnt in question. Shearer wouldnt have been praising him at the back end of last season had Duff not been arsed. We can't afford to sell him by the way because we have no replacement. Duff would be one of the best players in this league, and looking at our pitiful squad, one of the only players I can see getting any goals. They're not going to come from our strikers or centre midfield (maybe Barton appart), thats for sure. Remember, we arent likely to sign anyone. We can't just sell everyone whilst sitting back bitter about last season. We would just be shooting ourselves in the foot.

People should even be comparing 1993 and now. Back then the gap between the leagues was tiny compared to now. We were loaning players to Premier League teams back then because they couldn't get a game for us in Division 1. Footballs changed. Go for what works now.
