Is it not £42m more? Gone from £4m into overdraft to £38m in credit (?).
  2. Yes he should be playing deeper, but not because he has any problem keeping possession with his back to goal given support. Because he's class on the ball and bringing him deeper would allow us to get him on the ball more.
  3. Useless with his back to goal and can rarely bring others into play?, I've heard it all now like.. When the ball is played into his feet with his back to goal he's very good at keeping it either with a sharp turn or intelligently passing it off, assuming there's anyone near him. Obviously when there's no other Newcastle player within 40 yards he's not going to be able to bring people into play and its going to be difficult to beat the entire opposition defence by himself. But his initial control and ability to turn away means he certainly could keep the ball reliably and bring people into play with some support. The reason the ball doesn't stick for us is purely down to lack of support from midfield and not Ayoze.
  4. I'd get no enjoyment, don't even like the bloke really, hasn't really tried for us in a long time, just runs around a lot.

Would surprise me, see no reason at all for it. Can't win games, isn't good with the media, likely to lose his temper and explode at some point. Plenty of free options out there better than him.
  6. Love the way he receives the ball and turns so quickly, always thinking ahead, such a classy player and also works hard, what a waste he is playing for this fucking mess.
  7. Eh? He goes in a bit late one footed, you see plenty of those all the time and how many are given as a straight red? It's a clear red imo. Disagree, but whatever
  8. Eh? He goes in a bit late one footed, you see plenty of those all the time and how many are given as a straight red? Wish it was since then he'd be out of the team longer, but no such luck..
  9. Obertans actually been pretty good, sometimes not sure if he actually means what he's doing, but he's managing it either way.
  10. Gary Neville man, does he even think about what he says before he says it? Talking about how season after season we drift off in the second half and end up in a disappointing position, yet in the same breath say Pardew was doing a very good job here.
  11. He probably is, that's just currently the highest offer.

    Sunderland

They won't go down. They were in a far worse position this time last season with even more difficult fixtures to play and stayed up. The 3 that's there now will more than likely go down but if one of them stops up it'll be at the expense of Hull. They were in a worse position last year, it took a miraculous turnaround in form and a total collapse from the teams around them to save them. This time around Leicester, Burnley, QPR and Villa all look capable of picking up points and outside of playing us Sunderland are being walloped at home by 4 by shit teams every week. Think they'll need another 6-7 points to stay up, they might get them, but its not a forgone conclusion IMO.

Steven Taylor drinks his own piss at home. He hasn't even been picked to go to the island due to coming down with a severe coconut allergy. Out for the first season, might be back for the last two episodes of season 2 or more likely somewhere in the outtakes if they ever make a DVD.
  14. He is shit like, but better than Colback at left back.
  15. We've been shit as usual, but how the fuck do you play Football anyway with a ref that gives the opposition a free kick every 30 seconds no matter what?
  16. We're braced to deal with th departure of Tiote Fucking hell, brace yourself for possession, brace yourself for not giving the opposition 10 extra chances per game.

the lad started out suggesting there are reasons other than ability he's not been offered PL jobs, you then cited gary megson as an example of why this isn't correct and that he's not getting jobs because he's not very good Gary Megson is an example of the shit managers who get appointed each year in the Premier League to absolutely no fan revolt of any kind. Yet to say that McClaren hasn't been employed as a PL manager for almost a decade is solely because fans wouldn't accept him post-England? Guff. It's an absurd suggestion and it should've been very clear what I meant. Thanks for making me waste my time reiterating it again. Theirs a definite stigma with Mclaren, quite diffenrent to Gary Megson who is simply a non entity.

Pardew was given a lot of time and a lot of good international players. I think the received wisdom that no good manager would want the job is not true. A lot of managers would have envied Pardew's privileged position. What you mean working for peanuts?, defending Ashley to the hilt,? having no say on transfers? and also what you are forgetting is once we had injuries to our "purples" the squad was so wafer thin that we had no decent replacements, and at times it was the same when players were sold and not replaced. So therefore the majority of managers would definitely not envy Pardew's position because as soon as we got a few injuries or suspensions he was basically hung out to dry, while Ashley soaked up the rays in Barbados. I cannot foresee any manager worth his salt agreeing to work under Ashley and Charnley, I will believe it only when I see Shteeve holding a toon top in the SDA, (and speaking in a half dutch half geordie accent) You mean like when Cabaye was sold and we had no replacement so Pardew played Gosling? Except we had Ben Arfa and Marveaux sitting on the bench.. Don't make excuses for that clown, Ashley is an evil cunt but Pardew fucked himself again and again with his absolute incompetence and the reason he licked up to Ashley and made so many excuses for him was simply because he was desperate to keep a job that was way above his level.

Doesn't look like we'll be ending the season mid table though, more likely 2 or 3 places above the relegation zone.
