Yeah ok fair enough Still might get the odd cup game/goal but I suppose its not going to make too much difference.. Anyway on how many I think he'll get. Last season went as badly for him as possible, shit form, shit luck, the whole team playing terribly. He got 9 (outside Europe) so I think its reasonable to think he'll get at least 12-15 next season. If he gets 15 that would be very good going considering I expect him to play no more than 38 games (including cups).

Agreed ! Remy and Thauvin i'd be happy with. Would give us all a much needed lift signing someone young exciting quick and skilful like Thauvin ! At the moment our only two really creative players from out wide will be HBA and Remy. If one of those are injured then we are really going to struggle to create anything yet AGAIN this season ! If not Thauvin then Scott Sinclair for £6m or similar player would be a very decent signing for us. Can't see us paying his £60k a week wages though. Just watched Thauvin again on youtube looks like a hell of a prospect ! F*ck it spunk the lot all £20m on Thauvin Joe !!! Just get him here !!! He's meant to be available for £8m, so I definitely wouldn't be bidding £20m But yeah on a quality player who's very young and only going to get better we should be prepared to pay what's necessary to get him, even if its £10m or so. Think people are saying being careful with your money is the right and logical way of running a club, instead of throwing cash around. Neither way means you'll automatically get the right players for the positions you need to fill, that comes down to the people making the decisions and which positions we need to fill. Freddy spent loads but we still went years with problem positions that he'd ignore year after year.

Especially if he really has £20m sitting their to spend.

Arsenal didn't nearly just get relegated. Finished 4th in fact. You didn't think just maybe that was tongue in cheek? Having said that Arsenal certainly have even less excuse than us for spending fuck all and not improving the squad with the money they have.

Definitely, at least we've spent something this window Arsenal have brought nobody in (a youth player for free doesn't really count) and have sold/released something like 20 players and brought in £10m in fee's.

Clubs often agree everything with a player before agreeing a fee with the club though.
