  1. Bollocks was he average all the time, he had some very good performances. You could count them on one hand. He was a winger who did his best work in the centre of the park, but when we played him there games passed him by. I don't know how we could accommodate him, particularly now we've got Anita and Sissoko on top of Cabaye and Tiote. Maybe two hands , but then he's only made 28 appearances and plenty of those were short subs where he wouldn't have had time to produce a very good performance. Yes some games passed him by, and he played very well in others. Not an average player at all, just one that wasn't consistent, for a variety of reasons.
  2. Divn't complain man, their's obviously no demand for our game compared to the glamorous ties you listed above!
  3. Not particularly surprising, is it? That an FA Cup match between two PL teams isn't on TV (or available online) in 2014? Yeah, I think it's absolutely mind boggling. So many games on today, broadcasters don't give a shit about this run-of-the-mill tie. Far better ones out there. Number of games doesn't have much to do with it since there are quite few games being televised at all today. Just seems to be that most of the world doesn't give a fuck about the early stages of the FA cup unless its a big club vs a small club.
  4. Not particularly surprising, is it? This round of the cup usually doesn't get wide spread coverage so I didn't expect this game to be on. But I agree that in the current climate it is quite odd to see a competetive game between two Premier League clubs not televised anywhere in the world. I mean if we were playing these pre season in a friendly it'd probably be on somewhere.

  6. Did Owen just call Man City "Manchester United"?
  7. That's true, but if the players knew the game wasn't going to stop, how many of the fakers (of which most are) would stay down when they are not really hurt. That's the key to it really, you don't need to bring physios on during play, just leave the player there until play stops naturally unless he's in serious trouble. A player holding his leg or making ridiculous hand gestures as if they're in a rap video doesn't equal being in serious trouble. If this happens you'll soon find most of these players getting back on their feet much quicker because their is no advantage to it anymore.

    Sunderland

Not worried at all, we're in a good position, Sunderland are the ones desperate for every single point, all the pressure on them. Even if they somehow manage to beat us they're still going down

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Winger, wing forward or what ever other position you want to pin to him he's nowt like Cazorla or Silva. Play him in his favoured right wing position and tell him to get at the left back and create havok. Don't leave him on the bench to rot or put him on the left wing to provide crosses for the mighty Shola. Unfortunately this fuckwit disagrees

    Still think they'll go down.

They have 1.083 points per game since he came in.
  12. Let's get this straight. Never sad he was 'terrible' today - I said he should not start every game as most on here think. And you need to watch the Stoke game again - we was one of the most anonymous players on the pitch until we had the game handed to us by their players / Atkinson. But again, apologies for not bowing to popular opinion... He created more even in the first half then any other player while also being the most anonymous? Hows that even possible? Take your own suggestion and go and watch the game again. Their players absolutely handed the game to us, just not for the reason you claim. Must have been at different games then. Also - please feel free to elaborate on the 'just not for the reason you claim' statement? Whilst I accept being in group 4, what other reason am I claiming? You're claiming that Ben Arfa was only better in the second half because the 9 men gave him loads of space to run in to. When the biggest difference was that the 9 men allowed us to abandon our very defensive line up. That meant he could get forward much more and recieve the ball near their goal, which happened rarely in the first half due to the defensive responsibilities he'd clearly been given. Obviously some extra space is always going to be created by two men being sent off. But for the most part Stoke still had him double marked. Difference being he was picking the ball up near the opposition box with two around him rather than on half way or in our own half. So when he beats players he's then in a position to hurt them. Earlier in the game if he beat a player he would usually still find himself near half way.

Because with no threat we moved up the pitch and he started recieving the ball near their goal.
  14. He does have a tendency to over do things. But that's quite different to claiming he was terrible today and couldnt be bothered against Stoke until the sendings off gave him loads of space and made him look good Its ridiculous nonsense frankly. Fact is he played his part in a defensive line up first half and still created our only real chances. In the second half he was still marked by at least two just like the first. The difference being that the sendings off allowed him to get forward much more.
  15. Jesus Glad you noted that because i was just.......argh..... Guy created more than anyone else in half the time. Granted he was a bit greedy but if he wasn't greedy he wouldn't be Hatem. Well yeah, everyone is focusing on those two shots, ok they were very greedy but like f*** he's selfish all the time. He damn good will create chances if we actually played him, like last week. I know criticising HBA on here goes against the grain, but he was poor and looked disinterested against Stoke until two reds gave him the space / time to look good... Wat ? are you mental in the head ? No. I was stood 20 f***ing yards from him you retard. Your view wont help if you're mental like. Clown No it wont help if you're a clown either, quite right.

You've got absolutely no idea what you're on about have you? He was sitting deep and staying in a compact defensive line up until the sending offs loosened the rains. He had no less players in front of him in the second half. No. Not a clue. Well at least we agree you haven't got a clue anyway

  19. That was the point of my post, he made a mistake in a game because like anyone else he isn't perfect. Doesn't make him suspect (which is what I was replying to), he's a very good defender IMO.
  20. He's not perfect, he's still very good defensively though.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

He'd clearly been told to stay fairly deep when Stoke were in possession and to drop back towards right back if Debuchy made a run past him. He did that quite conscientiously and create a few chances on the few occasions he did get forward. Couple of excellent balls in behind for Sissoko and Debuchy and beat a couple to get a dangerous cross in before the sendings off After the sendings off he was obviously unplayable, but not because he had less players marking him, he had no problem with that in the first half. The difference was the amount of times he was allowed to get forward and pick the ball up near Stokes 18 yard area. In the second half he had far less defensive responsibility, and so he regularly picked the ball up well inside Stokes half, with the obvious consequence that he tore them a new anus. Excellent overall, set up three and was extremely unlucky not the score two himself. If Pardews can allow him some freedom and wants to go at Arsenal from the off then he has to start. But if he's going to go with keeping it very tight and orginised then attack in the last 30 mins (which is almost definitely what he'll do) then it might be best to save Ben Arfa till the second half. Not because he can't be orginised, because he was against Stoke, but because he's really wasted being so deep all the time.

No chance, us winning the league would be significantly more likely than relegation.
  23. How the fuck, the lads unbelievably useless in front of goal!
