Looking at those numbers it looks like they've got something like 20-25k paying fans and the rest are just their for the free tickets. I mean Sunderland do their own catering as well right? So that should push their match day revenue up in comparison to ours (since we outsource catering). Yet our match revenue is 2.5 times their's.

I still hate this cunt so much!

Fucking irritate me those two. During the match John Anderson was saying how we really want "one of the big boys" like Liverpool in the next round. As if we're some tiny club that never gets to play big games so we should want that chance ahead of a better chance of progressing.. I mean FFS we played Liverpool last season and the season before and most seasons for the last god knows how long. I couldn't give a shit about playing Liverpool, I just want a draw that gives us the best chance possible of getting to the semi's.

Aye its great to have everyone playing so well, no matter who comes in they do a good job. Such a contrast to years gone by when you'd pray that certain players wouldn't be involved.

Spurs fans are f***ing stupid. Oh its ok lads we can sell him next season for £10M, don't worry about the repayments they will just not exist anymore. Surely one of them didn't think that? Oh aye plenty believed it, the evening standard actually peddled this bollocks as well The story was they offered £16m, we responded by telling them we wouldn't sell for a penny under £30m. But we would accept that in five payments of six million pounds. The financial god that is Daniel Levy saw his opportunity to accept that offer because obviously (in Spurs ITK fantasy land) it meant they only had to make those payments while Sissoko was playing for them, because they're special and not subject to real world contracts. They actually thought Tottenham could just sell him on if they didn't fancy him, keep the fee but stop paying the six million per year to us as soon as he was off their books

Had a look and if they lose their next two they'll equal the worst ever start to a Premier League season (unsurprisingly that team were relegated). They'd then need three points from their next two games just to keep them equal with the record, any less and they'll break it. Next four games are: West Ham (A) Arsenal (H) Bournmouth (a) Hull (H) So they may just hang in their for now, but IMO only a matter of time before they're crowned the worst ever.
-
West Ham away first, then Arsenal at home. Lose both and surely its the worst start to a Premier League season by any team ever?
-
Their next game is an absolute must win, lose that and they'll be in a position worse than they've ever been in before.
-
Not been given the chance IMO. Still a bairn too. He's not. He's 26 on Thursday. Defoe's twice his age so hes still a bairn by comparison.

Decent point, as I never saw Pele except on old vids, and Maradona was past it by the time I paid attention to football. He was a hasbeen playing against Australia in 1993 and a drug cheat at the 94 World Cup. But to use this notion and go back to HTT's point that Shearer was a better CF than Ronaldo (!), I'd suggest that there were half a dozen or more strikers in my lifetime better than Wor Al. Apart from Ronaldo, there's Van Basten, Gullit, Weah (admittedly only for 2-3 seasons), Batistuta, Henry - and that's before getting to the debatable ones. Everything you've mentioned their is extremely debatable, shudder to think who you'd come up with as debatably better. I mean Weah better for 2-3 seasons? Better for a couple of seasons (debatable as well BTW) means fuck all.

Better than Di Matteo (not saying much there like). But they better have a plan for who to replace him with if he ever gets them promoted. Absolutely rotten manager outside of the Championship.
-
Massive lads fan?, they saying he was a homosexual chubby chaser ?
-
Anywhere showing this in Newcastle?
-
He's only been available for the last 6 matches, I'm sure he'll get his chance under Benitez and we'll see what he can do at this level.
-
Yeah one looked very difficult, behind him and he did well to get good contact and on target, dragged one wide but it was far from a sitter. The header he definitely should have done better with. But listening to the radio you'd have thought he'd missed three sitters.

How exactly do you decide who is or isn't thinking about things properly? Someone has the opinion he'll rip this league up, you obviously disagree, lets wait until he's actually played a few games to see who's right eh?
-
Blanking out last season then? You're banging on about how you heard he was going to tear up this league though, suggesting that's proven wrong, fact is he hasn't yet played enough minutes to make up two full games in this league..
-
Aye but man this just shows the problem with the game, its so high profile you just aren't allowed to be dodgy as fuck and completely corrupt in private anymore. Its all made public, and thats just wrong! If something dodgy happens it should be sent only to the FA and never released to anyone else, that way the FA can sweep it under the carpet and keep the gravy train running at peak efficiency. That's pretty much what Mclaren just said anyway
-
Even worse, the player would pay tax on the £8000, so he'd be left with about £5000 after tax, then the manager gets £4000 of it tax free under the table..
-
Ok, here's hoping it gets out from police inviestigations or someone leaks some of those videos unedited eventually
-
Didn't the Telegraph say they've given these managers a certain amount of time to respond before going any further? No doubt there are legal discussions going on right now, but I don't think that means the full videos or more specific info will never be released.
-
If you watch the video's released so far they've hidden the names of clubs/managers that the agents and managers (so far only Allardyce) talk about. No doubt so they can keep them for later revelations. They can back them up by simply removing the bleeps from the names. Maybe they haven't released anymore so far because everyone not actually shown in the videos directly will be doing everything they can to stop it coming out.

Well Huddersfield have less points from their last 4 games than we do and that's been our bad spell. Villa are 2 wins from us, but we're 2 wins from top. They also have significantly less points from their last 4 games than we do (their points total so far is the same as the points we've got from just our last 4 games), so they're hardly catching us.
-
Aye win tonight and we're third, 1 point off second. A lot of new players bedding in as well so its far from silly to suggest we still need time to gel, so yeah far too early to worry.
