i know, muppets, that steve curry as well, from the daily express i think (ask ozzie), tried to make the same point on jimmy hill's show on sunday morning, he got shot down from all angles. bottom line, bolton were 5th/6th when he left. worse was that idiot on jimmy hill saying newcastle fans were against Sam because he was a sunderland player what a cunt makes us sound fickle as fuck i'd burn most journalists they dont understand a fucking thing And "his excuse for employing all those backroom staff is that they only got 70 hours of injury to Newcastle's 400". What a fucking excuse, though, eh?

    Well done Freddy!

  3. I think FIFA did that, actually. Still, we should do it anyway.
  4. As well as the missing "just", the idea of "properness" was never a bad one. I understood it, certainly. It was a way of getting across the idea of someone who was not just capable of tippy tappy tricks, but able to bring it to bear in a useful way at a critical moment - not just to impress in a practise match. Someone who could stand up to examination. The trouble with Souness was, however, that he's a bullshitter.
  5. That is a fair point, it's their own stupid fault for not disobeying the transfer window rules and signing a new striker who'd carry them to safety.

    Trivia Question

I don't know how it works for sure, but I imagine a season ends on the day of it's final match. The question is when the next season commences, therefore. It might be that we're already in the 07/08 season at the moment, if you see what I'm saying.
  7. Simply the wrong result and should be rectified.
  8. No doubt Allardyce will be chuffed. If most others feel the same way, I think so too.
  9. I'll go along with whatever Allardyce's decision on this is. I respect his track record of dealing with difficult characters, getting their heads straight and motivated for the club. If he thinks he can't get him going again, then it will be best that we move Zog on. Of course, this will all be water under the bridge if he responds to a manager with credit and goes back to being a great young player for us next season. Unless he starts hitting women and spitting at tramps, but let's put that aside for the time being.
  10. Wasn't it Riley who was staring straight at Olly Bernard when Thomas Gravesen nearly shattered his shin into a million pieces, ignored it and went and gave Everton a soft penalty against Woodgate thirty seconds later? Those Robert and Bernard decisions, I was fucking seething for days afterwards. I thought he caught Bernard on the top of his knee/thigh? Aye he did. I remember the big screen at Goodison actually showed the replay of it (which even then they weren't supposed to) and the away section went absolutely mental! That was Neale Barry. But you're right. See?
  11. An old hatred of mine, ranks above Riley, Neale Barry. Now trains other referees...

    the legends

That's true isn't it? Allardyce refused to be interviewed after finding out that Shearer was on the interview panel, quoting "I've never been interviewed by a player before and I'm not starting now" I thought that was common knowledge. Certainly not as far as i know. Someone else might be able to confirm this, but i think i would have read and remembered that. Sounds more like typical McDonald shit to me. Hey surely I'm not the only one to have heard this - I thought it was as good as gospel! Never heard anything about him walking out before it started, but certainly, the story was he was interviewed by a small panel which included Shearer. Which he didn't appreciate. Couldn't comment on the veracity of it, but the story is quoted and/or alluded to in the mainstream press every so often.

    .com on Allardyce

I don't think they're sitting on the fence in the slightest in private. They've made various remarks over the past couple of years in Bolton match reports that have essentially suggested anyone who would want Allardyce would have to be a mad idiot. I may be talking balls, but perhaps they feel they're influential and don't want to prejudice Allardyce's (possible) coming time at NUFC.
  14. It would be the most sensibly-timed sacking since... Christ knows when. Imagine, a full pre-season for a new manager to prepare.
  15. Sylvain Distin is the in the top 4 centre halves outside the top 4 of the premiership. In the premiership. IMO. If that makes sense. (The other 3 are King, Yobo and Campbell, what order you wanna put em in is meh) Woodgate? Not for me. But whatever, thats the sort of company I would put Distin in. Are you including injuries in your thinking?
  16. The idiot believes Craig Moore will be looking for a new club next season. I believe this club will be located in Australia as he's been saying he'd go there this Summer ever since he arrived here two years ago. I also believe Oliver will be writing for the Chronicle next season - mores the pity.
  17. Just about to say that. And Celtic. Dyer and Harper were both for Liverpool. Emre - Galatasaray
  18. He only came in when Phil Brown left for Derby, didn't he? If anything, that would show Allardyce can recover from a setback and strengthen.
  19. I wouldn't be particularly distraught... I presume there would be reasoning for the move - either a decent profit to be made on the deal or concerns about all this injuries he's picked up of late.
  20. Either way, it's as shite as 'this'. Efficient, though.
  21. If it is, I am the originator. Even if it isn't, I still am, strictly speaking.
