We need seven or eight (if we want cover for wilson) signings in my opinion: Centre Back (x2) (Ake & tarkowski/Bot) Left back (??) Right back (Trippier) Defensive mid (??) Ball playing mid (??) Right wing/Striker (Lingard) Striker /Nº 10 (martial)
-
Or 451 (more realistic)
-
Think it will be more of a 4-2-3-1 With maxi up top
-
Wouldn´t mind this... Bit slow though if caught on break
-
Eddie Howe must have watched videos of us playing, and he must have seen just how sub standard Clark is in everything he does. Yes, he tries hard, but his best is only suitable to a league below the one he is in... Manquillo Schar Fernandez Lewis These lot played the best we have seen for a while, why on earth would we put Lascelles or Clark back in when both have looked absolute mince for a long time....
-
This, but I would call it a 4-1-4-1
-
Would swap out ritchie for lewis (he was decent against Norwich) and we have a team capable of both defending and attacking. Still not sure about Shelvey, maybe hayden in there for a bit more cover
-
Everybody knows and has commented on Clarks one or two glaring errors every game. he is a complete liability... Why on earth he is on the pitch instead of fernbandez is anyone´s guess??? Cost us the game last night. Very basic defender at championship level at best
-
Ritchie tries hard but he is no defender, krafth doesn´t really do anything, apart from back off until the attacker gets his pass/shot off, as far as I can see... Manquillo should be playing and Fernandez, don´t know what the story is there.

The next two games are must wins (Norwich/Burnley) and if we get on a run we could pray for an away result at leicester. The 2 mancs will beat us, then everton and southhampton which we might get something from. I would say 6 to 9 points max until the second week of jan when new recruits (scouted and signed on 1st jan) might be bedded in. Let´s say 12 points in jan, I still think we will be in the bottom three and a good six points or so from the nearest teams... We have a decent run of games where we could pick up points in Jan Feb (watford/leeds/villa/brentford). Fingers and toes crossed! Come on Eddie, make yourself a hero!

Very poor today... as always. What we ever saw in this guy (pricetag), got ripped off at 5 mil!
-
Really getting on my tit ends is ASM, letting them pick their passes every time. Haway mate, try a little bit ffs
-
Fraser instead of murphy means we are going all out high press and attack mode. Little worried about the pace of their attack on the counter against our pedestrian back three.
-
Same as last week. 3-4-3 but without clark and darlow. Good decision there, but not sure about krafth in a back three
-
I would rather go with the same formation as last week but with a couple of tweaks: -----------------------Dubs-------------------------- -------Schar----------Lascelles-------Fede------ Murphy--------Hayden-----Shelvey------Almiron ------Joe lin----------Wilson------Maximan----
-
He was well spoken of during his time at Bilbao, he made a very average squad top half of the table european contenders and a few cup finals. Barcelona he just couldn´t get them going and kind of forgave the low performances from their aeing players. Would be a good fit for MAnu
-
Aubemeyang always plays decent against us. They look too strong at the moment and are confident. To get anywhere near close, we need to ship out Darlow and Clark otherwise we have too much liability in our defense...
-
Hesitant three times today when he should have been out and clearing out the ball and player. Looks very low on confidence. The first through his legs was unforgivable.
-
No, not a great game for him. He will get better though, all the players looked much more positive and had more bite to them.
-
Back three all made too many mistakes, lascelles was unlucky with the bad touch. Lots of crappy fouls. Would Fede make much of a difference? Better than Clark...
-
The change in the whole team was quite outstanding. Just ten days with them and its probably the best 90 mins we have seen in a couple of years. Darlow was very poor for the one through his legs... FFS! Unlucky not to get three points. P.S. Toney looked the dogs Bs!
-
Shelvey is definitely capable, a change of attitude and an added motivation might just provide the impetus for a complete 60 mins performance.
-
Shearer, Albert, Lee (for our current needs)
-
I´d like to think that Howe has watched videos of Clark and knows he´s a liability (giving pens away, getting turned all the time) and changes him. Even though Lascelles can´t trap/pass a ball quicker than a Turtle he will probably be in there just for his commitment and size. I imagine he will go with something like: -----------------------Dubs---------------------- Manquillo-----Lascelles------Fede-------Ritchie Fraser-------Hayden-----Shelvey----ASM ----------------willock-------------- -------------------Wilson--------------- I have put shelvey in there instead of Longstaff just cause he is "capable" of passing the ball better, if his attitude has also changed he might be good for 60 mins....
