    Rodrigo Gary Vilca

Shouldn’t have been so shit, probably made more money than playing in Peruvian league as well. edit to say I have no hate for the guy but we should have scouted better, he was a nobody in Peru not even highly rated or anything.

    Jeff Hendrick

Well we did beat Milan to his signature.
  3. Baffles me why our ownership are so passive with all of this. Take the PL to court over restraint of trade and collusive practices,
  4. Wouldn’t be against it if all clubs were given the same headroom but fuck off with it being only for clubs in europe.

    St James' Park

Overrated yes but the point was the finished product can look decent compared to what it looks like now in an unfinished state.

    St James' Park

It’s not complete yet, see Boxpark Shoreditch London, can look pretty decent.
  7. That statement really means nothing, players kiss the badge one minute and sign for another club the next. He could stay, he could go (and not necessarily to us), no point in worrying.

    Next season

We can’t have another injury hit season so I reckon we’ll get 4th next year.

I think (I hope) tomorrow after the initial disappointment most will see the football projects heading upwards and this is just a minor blip. More positivities than negatives. Plus the euros in few weeks should be a distraction.
  11. We’ll see re this keeper but Bruno and Isak signed for us when we weren’t in europe. I think a managers plans for a player and their ability to improve their game and being part of a project which is stable and heading upwards is more important. Don’t get me wrong the elite players want champions league but we’re not fishing in the Vinicius Jnr/Bellingham pool. The calibre of player were going to be after are a step below, good players with a stalled but back on track career (Isak) or players with potential to step up (Bruno/Gordon/Botman) and I don’t believe not getting conference league will prevent us signing that level of player as they should be able to see beyond this season. Nothing personal but I hope you’re wrong about conference football affecting our recruitment plans.
  12. Oh well, we shouldn’t have been in a position where we relied on others. Summer rest, some new signings and the league to concentrate on could put us in the CL places again next season.
  13. If he’s going, he’s going. Conference League wouldn’t have kept him here, some european games would have been nice but not a difference maker to a players decision. In saying that I hope he gives us one more season but if he doesn’t I’m sure we’ll reinvest well.
  14. Don’t think lack of European football will change the signing situation. Conference League isn’t a big enough draw to be a difference maker between signing and not signing.
  15. Palace majority co-owner looking to sell his share, sounds like the other owners weren’t into the idea of the multi club model. Also states he may look to buy into Everton if 777 partners fail with their attempted purchase. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c7221jz51e1o
  16. Not up on forum ITK’s, has Shadow Puppets got form?
  17. Where’s the talk of Pope going coming from? Would have thought Dubravka and Karius out leaving Mamardashvili and Pope with Gillespie as third choice?
  18. Good goalie but after a second serious shoulder injury it’s too risky not sign another elite keeper plus he’s 32 so only going to decline.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

If the opposition being Man U wasn’t enough.
  20. Jordon when it comes to the business side of football often speaks sense.
  21. ?That guys never living that down (on this forum anyway).
