It's a pretty miserable look to charge £100 for a polyester jacket given the current position on transfers. I know it isn't a quid pro quo, and that it will sell out in about 3 days so there's your answer, but it's hard to shake the feeling of being treated as a customer instead of a fan or a member of a community. It seems quite contemptuous. I appreciate that yes, one can just not buy the merchandise. But the juxtaposition between the weekly drip of new tat and absolute silence on the sporting side of things currently looks ugly to me.

While I agree in theory they don’t seem capable of concluding deals effectively. Based on what you see / know is that an inaccurate or unfair stance?

To me he looked plenty good as recently as last season just gone. I agree that it would depend on the price.

Yeh that’s fair. I think I’ve seen mcginn play well enough times other than that match. Maybe I’m insane or wrong on the player but I think it would be a great buy, depending on the price.

I remember watching and thinking he was playing well. I’m sure he scored a screamer. A lot of times I’ve watched them I’ve thought ah he’s a really good player. Ba Mcginn would immediately improve the depth and talent of our midfield options. Price dependent, of course.

I’d advise anyone to watch McGinn’s performance against PSG at Villa park last season in the CL QF before dismissing the idea. Immediate improvement on longstaff, willock and miley. If Arsenal did this instead of Norgaard I suspect people on here would say “why aren’t we making that move?”

Would do unspeakable things for mcginn, he’s class

Or a novel strategy: multiple deals being done simultaneously. It strikes me as fucking weird that we can only do one at a time like we’re an automatic till.

Seemed happy enough to come last year.

Gobshite of the year? j/k, your info is really appreciated. If we sign Guehi that more than salvages the window but I don’t see how Parish will be anything other than a pain in the arse.

I hope for our sake he comes here and Brentford are an easier 6 points than before.

To me it looks like he’s well prepared to consider players based abroad, but values proven PL track record if he can get it. I find the stuff about him having some bias towards PL-based players inaccurate and tedious when it’s repeated as fact.

Missed the bit where ekitike, Khusanov and sesko had PL experience

Not today. As much as I enjoy some of his work he’s embarrassed himself a few times over Trafford. Love his greatest hit selection about Isak not being for sale.

Because the owners are incompetent
-
These idiots don’t deserve him. At some point you’d think he’ll grow weary and go somewhere where his employers are capable of backing him.

Have reached the reluctant conclusion that they’ve no idea what they’re doing. It was enjoyable, briefly, thinking Newcastle had ambitious, wealthy, active and clever owners. Never learn.
