No, I just think if someone says “there are better options” (which is what was said), or one thinks that there are likely to be / must be (“surely”) alternate and better options, then one can expect to be asked for evidence for that opinion. Tbh this is mainly due to a problematic culture on here of regurgitating pessimism as pure fact, not to do with your view. I was also mainly interested because I can’t really think of anyone more suitable and gettable, but i no longer watch enough European football to be informed
