I thought they were both fogged off. Seem to remember the ref for one of them coming out at half time with a orange and possibly pink ball and trying to see if the linesman on the far side could see him. They couldn't which was a shame as we were 1up at the time. The ref may well have been Vic Callow but no idea why that just came into my head. It may be the drink. Regardless in my 26 years of going to see the Toon the lowest attendance excluding the Cesena game was the Spuds game this year as indicated about.

I'll stand by original points thoughts but its now an 8.25 and moving upwards. The Bolton result for us and last night results for others have raised the likely safety bar and lowered our prospects of getting over it. Hull is now a must win as it deprives then of points and if people think 9 points is the required total they almost have to come against Hull, Stock and the Smogs. And i don't think 9 will be enough.

Retard. Thick as mince.

Would it be treachery to start supporting another, slightly more local, team?

Especially if it was Hibs. -
I managed to leave my tickets for Wigan in my flat and they got them reprinted and i picked them up down there. They made me take photo ID so take some with you.

There was talk a few years back about them going back to Feethams as it was still in good nick. Is this still the case or did it eventually get flattened? Reynolds Wikipedia page lists his latest activity after release from the nick as selling perfume in pubs!!!

I hope you were being sarcastic then.

Surely that must be Gomes in goal....

7.5 (moving upwards) We're a team that can't break teams down that come to defend at SJP, so winning the Pompey, Fulham and smogs games becomes difficult evidenced in Stoke, Wigan, Bolton games - 5 points. Mancs, Arse and Chelsea at home are there for us to try an exploit teams who come and play football against us. Likely to involve a couple of heavy beatings but maybe Arse there for the taking if we fight them for it. Evidenced in Villa game - 0/3 points Away from home we're likely to get picked off by everyone so maybe looking at sneaking a win somewhere and another draw - 4 points Will 9 keep us up, doubtful and we'll be depending on others. 12 might still be tight though. Yes there are plenty of worse teams but they'll start flighting for it an i'm not sure we can or know how to.

Push by Ronaldo. Fair enough

Pre Match: Newcastle United vs Everton - see OP for N-O podcast!

I think its only straight red cards that have a time lag to allow for appeals etc. Double bookings are generally just a 1 game ban so it'd be next week. Not sure if he then got a straight red what would happen as he'd be facing 2 bans. -

Shame really enjoy giving that little twat some abuse. -
Did anyone go to this game - Blackburn away - this day in 1992
leazes.ender replied to Big Geordie's topic in Football
I think from seeing the highlights and commentary that there was something about not giving up the ball back after an injury or them playing on with a man down. Our goal came from a backpass freekick IIRC and something reminds of 2 fingered gestures featuring from the little twat too. I might have to dig out one of my really old Newcastle videos to check. -
Brilliant. Managers like FSA and Southgate rest players in the cup and what do they get... a replay.

Which CL team uses Shite Hart Lane then? We've got the balance right with our little corner flag clocks. What more do you need?

Agreed, i'd join a proper supporters club but at the moment they are meerly afront for an Ashley out group from what i've read/listened too. With recent events or lack off, do you not think they are justified in wanting Ashley out? Looking at the state the club is in I think they are holding the clubs interests at heart by attacking the man that's caused it. Think most of you have been hooked again by this 5 year plan bollocks, just remember a leopard never changes it's spots. You're missing the point. A supporters group should be there to support. If you want a group set up to be a voice on a particular issue then set up an action group. There's a key difference.
-
I'm all for having a supporters voice but they went about it the wrong way with there key objective to oust the owner. Far more sensibly they should have opened dialogue, or tried to, in order to establish some facts first. Unfortunately they are now seen, and likely always will be, as a militant faction. That will create division and they'll be ridiculed for the same reason as the previous 'spokesmen' they so badly wanted to avoid being.

I bet by the morning Terry Vegetables is being talked about.

Sky saying the ref got it right. Did he bollocks. Not convinced he saw it which is fine, so he takes advice off his officals. CORRECT. Then he gives him a 2nd yellow card. WRONG. Violent conduct is a straight red = 3 game ban, so he's done them a favour. Already being on a yellow makes no difference.

Newcastle Blue Star who have since switched to Kingston Park so they could get promoted.

Just book me ref, I want a holiday - NOTW

I remember sitting there when Jonas was on 4 yellows and working out which game he 'should' get booked in to avoid missing the mackems match. Clubs muct have been doing it for years but it would take some stupid twat of a player to tell a ref. Just give him some abuse or a deliberate handball towards the end and you'd get booked. Obviously for certain players and teams who are immune to bookings then its more difficult. I'm just delighted its Bennett who is always shite against us. -
No I reckon i'm the biggest loser before anyone else makes that comment Never in doubt. Says the Accountant !!!
