Just want a worldie goal. Not too much to ask for us, Shirley.
-
Just want exhibition football and good showings from players in the shop window (whoever they may be).

RAWK is so disproportionately bitter
-
My goodness our players have done well for themselves.

Need a crowbar to prise the gritted teeth in Carragher's jaw open as he congratulated NUFC there
-
Mad that some fans haven't seen NUFC in the CL before.

Right. Time to change the old underpants.

Some harsh comments on Burn. He has got forward and worked hard. But it's more of a gesture/decoy than a real option for Isak. Can't knock Burn for not trying. May yet be valuable on a set penis or sommat.

Jonny Evans looks like he's morphing into Michael Keaton

Not the worst plan. Punting it into the channels has been quite effective at times when Burns and Trippier have tried to bomb on.

I'm proper spoilt, because my response is: Isak on the leeeft

Over the season, I'd say Joelinton, with a substantial honourable mention for Schar who has been integral to what has been a solid defence (for most of the season), has embraced the footballing philosophy, has put his body on the line (to a fault, almost!) and has actually played a lot of incisive attacking football for a centre-back.

Bookies are crooks 1/100 for Man Utd, but only 25/1 for Liverpool

Delighted with that. Wouldn't have cared how the 3 points came about, as long as there were 3 points at the end. Tired of being noble losers. What a flourish to finish after a class first half. Second half was utterly dreadful until the very end. Don't know what Howe was thinking. Anyway, not a night to dwell on negatives. Fantastic result.

Got Isak charged with covering Caicedo. Brilliant.

Why the high line man.
-
Control the ball second half a bit better, and we're almost there like.
-
Hahahah fuck off ref. Fuck off VAR. Fuck off Liverpool. Have some of that.

Love that avatar.

FFS turn away for two minutes. Goddammit.

Liverpool currentl 9/4 to finish top four. Newcastle 1/6. Could get a better price on Newcastle if you're still bullish. Alternatively, if you want to soften the potential blow - now is not a bad time to put some money on Liverpool. I can't bring myself to it
-
Agree. Their form has fallen off but they are 12 points better off than last year's total with two games to go. It's been a big year for them, they are just living in an era of an absolute juggernaut in Man City.

I think it's one of most difficult hurdles for a decent team transitioning to a very good team to be able to attack effectively without overcommitting numbers. To be good offensively, without being leaky defensively. Newcastle seemed to have had the knack for that particular evolution for periods of the season, but it hasn't been seen in a while now. Even games we've won, you've seen some pretty easy gilt-edged chances come about for the opposition, without too much hard work on their part. Even when we shred Spurs to ribbons. I'd play conservatively first half, and bring on ASM after half time to hit them on the break. Hope the crowd don't get too impatient as I think the best realistic outcome involves the game being a tight one for long stretches, and Newcastle being out of possession.
