  1. I'd be shocked if Anderson hadn't just played himself out of a loan next season. He's ready.
  2. Would actually start him on the left with ASM on the right, because Elliot looks up, when cutting in he actually uses the options. Maximin can then just keep his head down and beat his one man on the outside and get the gazillion assists he thinks he should be getting.
  3. Incisive from Willock, Billy with only one thing in mind, turn and run. Love the mentality from these two.
  4. Surprised we're not at least trying Billy on the left and ASM on the right
  5. Sublime from Anderson, looked up while dribbling between 2 players. Maxi take note.
  6. In context, especially in pre-season, you can't argue against a good wake-up call. If we'd won every game comfortably there'd also likely be less pressure on signing attacking reinforcements as well.
  7. Almiron stop being shocking, you are allowed to just shield the ball and look up. Christ
  8. Wilson, St Maximin & anyone except Fraser/Wood/Ritchie/Almiron will be OK as long as Maxi steps up
  9. Feels so long ago when we had Solano, Robert and Shearer over the ball for a direct free kick. We never realised how good we had it :/
  10. I'm really not expecting much from Almiron, Fraser and Wood
  11. Wow, did Botman just do one of the Burn-esque defensive headers, and it actually went to one of our team?
  12. I'm by no means a fan of Shelvey, and I don't think there's a spot for him in our best XI, but he did look a lot better when he was told to stop playing as a sweeper like he did in the first half vs 1860
  13. I think they've been briefed to provide lots of background information to the Saudi audience
  14. Anyone else getting Herr Lipp vibes from the stadium announcer?
  15. I've transcribed a bit of the interview he did on YouTube in April of this year from about 31:50 onwards:
  16. This man is a world builder. Passionate and deeply cares about the fans want. He reminds me so much of a man I used to work with who went on to big things - great speaker, knowledgable and authoritive. Cultivates a meritocratic approach. I didn't get goosebumps with Howe or Ashworth, I do with this man.
